PestNow is really great. They are on time and work hard.

I bought a new house in Fairfax and didn't learn until settlement that it had termites and had been treated. Prev owner used Pest Now so I called them back to discuss, re-treat and better understand. They've been right on top of things, having a manager out since they'd need to drill by a gas appliance to treat again for termites. I signed up for the regular service and have called them many times in the first month of owning this place - various bees nests around the outside of the house that they removed, and once to retreat after we power-washed the side of the house (assuming I'd removed the chemicals). They're always friendly and helpful and never hassle me about how often I call when I see a bug OUTside since that's the reason to have the regular contract! read more

Moved to a house over the summer that had been empty for 3-4 months. Yard and house was a happy place for bugs. A friend told me they use Pest Now, so we called them. Best referral in a long time. They have us on a monthly schedule for the yard and quarterly for the inside of the house. The very first treatment made a huge difference. We have really enjoyed our experience with Da'Vonte at Pest Now. He has been very responsive and exceptionally knowledgeable about the insects we have had problems with. His interventions were minimally invasive and worked immediately from ants in our kitchen to carpenter bees boring into our wood. Be careful if you hire this company. They are the right price but that isn't always the answer. They came into my home when I was trying to sell it and reported there was a live infestation. Luckily, I had hired a company only months before that proved that there was no infestation. It made me afraid I wasn't going to be able to sell my home. Ask them to show you proof of infestation if they claim there is one. read more

We had a major mouse situation, even after complying with PestNow's quarterly visits, this winter. When we contacted they come out quickly and are always nice and friendly but them their only strategy was moving bate stations around and setting down sticky traps that caught nothing and we still found mice after dealing with this for over two months. We have changed our exterminator, I'm frustrated we wasted time and money with this company. read more

Pest Now (Formerly named Superior Pest) is the only pest service I would use. My Realitor originally recommended this company and have been using them for over 10 years. They have helped me deal with various ant types, carpenter bees, wasps, mice, rats and cockroach. The staff who come out to my home are courteous and knowledgeable. Scheduling convenient appointments is easy, staff are always on time and I like the emailed invoices with the recap of the services done. read more

UPDATE: This is the most unprofessional, rude, and despicable business I will ever have to deal with, both now and in the future. I wish I can give 0 stars, but unfortunately don't have that option. Every time service was requested, there were issues such as not showing up on time 2 out of 5 times, coming early without consent, and shoddy services, which culminated in abruptly cancelled service today. I used Pest Now at my previous home with good success. They would inspect and notify if there were any issues I needed to be concerned about - never pushy, just informative. When I moved I decided to only keep two of the vendors I had been using previously and Pest Now was one of them. They show up, as promised, once a quarter, and if warranty service is required - meaning you see bugs in your home - they will come out as often as necessary to make sure they have addressed the issue. I am impressed with their customer service and would recommend them to others. read more

I had their services for pest and rodents at 2 of my properties. Several months later rodents and pest are still present in my homes. I don't want to take all the credit away from them, they did come out when I'd tell them I saw activity. However, I'm not sure what all their treatment consists of but it is evident that it was not working, especially for the mice. read more

When I called them to stand by their warranty and take care of a nest, the man answering the phone said it was the wrong number, and after hearing foreign accent tried to give me a loyalty test. After an initial extermination, we have been (supposedly) having the outside of our house sprayed quarterly over the last year (at their recommendation) and we're still getting ants. We have been using pest now for 2 years. We moved into our new home and almost immediately have little ants everywhere. We have signed up for their quarterly service and could not be happier. We had to call them a couple times to retreat and they always respond super fast. I email them tell them We have ants and within minutes have an email with a 2 hour window. (This is awesome bc who has time to sit on the phone, when you can just email.) They have always shown up with in the window and wear protective booties on the house. The technician is always very respectful and explains things in details. They are also super respectful of your property making sure to lock the gates after they leave. We would not hesitate recommending them to others. I should add I hate using chemicals in the house bc of the dogs and baby so we get the exterior treated and only treat the inside if we still see activity. They are absolutely willing to come back as many times as needed and will do what you are comfortable with which is huge for someone who doesn't want the chemicals and has a fear of anything that moves. They also email you the statement before pulling out of your driveway. How convenient! read more

Had issues with ants in my kitchen, contacted Pest Now because I was looking to see if I could have a locally owned business provide service. In hindsight, what a mistake that was. They came out and treated my house by spraying inside in the areas where the ants were. They did not put any bait out, nor did they treat the outside of the house. 2 days later the ants were back in force with a visible trail from the back of the house to my kitchen counter. I called Pest Now back and they told me that it would take up to 10 days for the treatment to take effect. They came back about 8 days into the treatment and again spot treated. Three weeks into issues in my kitchen with ants (infestation ever spreading) I gave up on Pest Now and called Orkin. What a difference! Their service tech spent over an hour at my house, sprayed everywhere (all through the house and outside too - even in my tool shed), and put bait out in strategic locations. When he put the bait out I really saw a bunch of ants swarm the bait and was happy that I hadn't wasted any more time with Pest Now. 24 hours later and no sign whatsoever of ants. I sent a request for a refund to Pest Now and received a snippy response stating: "Pest control is based on science, not magic". Fair enough - buyer be warned, don't waste $85 like I did. This review is MAINLY for my new guy, Jeremy Laskin. I've been with Pest Now since I bought my house in 2008. It's economical and my main concern is termites. I haven't thought much of it since I haven't experienced noticeable pest besides the occasional spider and cricket. It once observed what I believed to be signs of termite infestation and pointed it out to Pest Now. They returned the following week to treat the area. BUT, this year I have a new guy, Jeremy, who is AWESOME! He pointed out changes I could make to prevent pests AND just to overall improve my home. Dude was AWESOME! He's a great representation of Pest Now. I wondered why my old guy never pointed these things out?! I'm serious, when Jeremy left I felt like I had been to school. Hopefully ALL of Pest Now employees are just as sharp! I'll stay with them a bit longer now. I recommend Pest Now and especially Jeremy Laskin. read more

We only just had a reason, well actually about 1000 reasons, to call Pest Now to come take care of a ground bee nest under our porch. In the first hours following the treatment, the bee population dropped off noticeably and then after a couple days our problem was no longer a problem. All the people we've come across from the company have been wonderful and knowledgeable; they even followed up with us the same day we had our bee treatment to make sure things had gone well and we were happy about the service. As part of the process of selling my home, the buyer's agent hired Pest Now to perform a terminte inspection two days before closing. Although the property had no history of entomology issues, they "found" evidence of activity in the garage. Oportunistic, perhaps, but I took it as the cost of doing business. During both visits to my property, the technicians set off the burglar alarm; running away after the first activation. The technician didn't follow the established procedure to get the codes from my realtor, or the central showings service. They came back later in the day to conduct the inspection. The following day when they arrive to treat the property, they set the alarm off once again. When I was notified by my alarm company that there was an activation, I asked them not to dispatch the police, knowing that Pest Now once again set off the alarm. In hindsight, I would have let the polic arrive to arrest them. Two days in a row shows a lack of caring, and/or education. My home security cameras clearly show the Pest Now technicians at my home on both days. When I came home to check on the work, I found empty beer bottles on my counter. I was shocked to see that they had taken beer from my fridge, drank it, and then left the bottles in my kitchen. Drinking on the job while working with toxic chemicals is far from the sign of a professional company. I contacted both my realtor, as well as the buyer's realtor to convey my disgust with Pest Now. This morning, I called and spoke with a manager at Pest Now. He appologized for the alarm activations, and even offered to pay for the fines. Unfortunately, he told me the completely unplausible story that "someone must have broken in and drank the beer. My guys don't drink." Suggested that I call the police. My house is under video surveillance, and also alarmed. The video shows only Pest Now technicans going in and out. There were no other alarm activations other than the two caused by Pest Now that are supported by surveillance video. This company took $560 of my money and provided horrible service. I didn't choose them, and you shouldn't either. If you're a realtor, you should not work with this company. read more

One of the absolute worst companies I've ever had the misfortune of having to deal with! I was quoted a price in writing for my client by the inspector, Shawn Rutherford. After three different invoices sent by their office, he still would NOT honor his original price! Not only that, I explained a day prior that, a real estate settlement was dependent on getting the proper paperwork in by a certain time. They sent the first invoice at 9:30 am which seemed like it was for the total amount. It was not. They waited until after 4:00 pm to send the second invoice, which caused the settlement company to have to change the final figures FOR THE THIRD TIME! Very unprofessional and totally unacceptable! Be that as it may, I was most upset by being quoted one price, and having my client charged for another price. This is just plain DISHONEST! NO, DO NOT USE PEST NOW OOT OF STERLING, VIRGINIA; EVER!!! read more

Pest Now of Virginia provides average service. I purchased the monthly outdoor mosquito services package. They showed up every month and treated the outdoor areas as stated. The outdoor treatments did the trick. The mosquito problem was nearly non existent this year. I did try Pest Now of Virginia on an indoor moth problem. However, I did not get the same outcome. It appeared that the technician really did not have a good answer for addressing the problem. After having to call them back twice with no real solution, I took matters into my own hands, did some research, and dealt with it myself. The Pest Now of Virginia website does not allow individuals to order services as needed. You have to call in. The website is only setup for real estate agents to order termite and other pest inspections when a house is being sold or purchased. Overall, I get the impression that Pest Now of Virginia comes off as a new or limited service business just getting started in this area. It seems the company has some growing and maturing to do before I can rate them any higher. read more
