Absolutely love taking my kitties to Pet Haven! Whether it was my long haired Maine coon or my short haired void, both girls came out smelling delicious and looking beautiful. I simply assumed they had upped the prices...however, one of the groomers suggested we bring my pup in between cuts for a wash and brush in order to avoid her hair getting knotted. But when we brought her in they charged us the SAME price as when she gets a cut and teeth brushing!!! And the scheme didn't stop there, when the woman was telling me the price she said $90 but then I saw her put into the card machine she put $100 WITHOUT INCLUDING TIP! I came in for a nail trimming for my cat. The groomer was wonderful and gentle. She petted him and gently lifted him out of his crate. She also gently grabbed his paws for the nail trims. Overall, she was great with him! The stars deduction is specifically for COVID protocol. There is a sign outside that says masks are required inside, however, the man that came in after me had no mask in sight. His groomer spoke with him at an arms distance and did not even mention anything about masks. Also, there was no social distancing enforced. The check in area is very small. I'd say it's big enough for 2 people with their pets to stand comfortably before having to be almost back to back. By the time I was done, there was someone else with her dog, a women with her daughters and dog. We were all within an arms distance of each other. I felt very uncomfortable and none of the groomers were paying attention to say anything. This place is affordable and I was happy about the service. I would come back, but only after COVID or when they actually enforce protocol. read more

I've taken my pup there a few times for grooming, but just so deeply appreciate the care and attention this team gives to all their clients. Every time I come in, the groomer working with my dog talks to me afterwards about how she did. Today, I very last minute needed to have my dog's anal glands expressed because she was leaking around the house. Pet Haven told me to come right in and we were in an out in less than 5 minutes. I have been taking my 6 lb Maltese to Pet Haven for about a year. Their prices have gone up significantly and truthfully they are caring nice professionals but their prices are high. Also their front door that leads to a VERY busy street is not self closing and dangerous for the pets since their lobby area is very small. They wanted to charge $55 for a wash only and $80 for hair cut and wash. $55 seemed high for a 6 lb dog wash only. read more

Absolutely devastated. After they explained how damaging it would be to shave a husky, they did! They told us they were going to have to shave around the back of his neck, and de-shed him by brushing, and trip the hair between his toes. I have a sweet shihtzu :) been to this place three times now, and every time she's come back gorgeous! I try my hardest to take care of Molly's mouth whiskers, but the gook from her eyes sometimes gathers by her nose. And food sometimes stains her chin. I took my little Yorker and it cost me 90.00 so it wasn't cheap, and around the nose they must have cut her so bad , no wonder I could tell that same day she was so quiet, and 2 days later when I clean her face I saw what they did and never even told me that it was an accident or something, it's been 3 weeks now and she has a scab but I don't want to take it out because it hurts still, that was not nice of them I will never go back and your lucky I did not cause a some big caos. Pet Haven is the best! I was looking for a groomers that would take special care for my 15 year old Yorkie, Olive. He had not been to a professional groomers in years and was trying to find a place that wouldn't stress him out too much. I messaged Pet Haven and was able to talk with the owner Annie and she gave me the best course of action to not overwhelm my senior pup. When I got there, the staff was so warm and attentive to Olive and made sure he was comfortable. I've never seen him so calm from a nail trim, he must sensed all the love and care! I went in just a few minutes after opening to get my cats nails trimmed. They were able to see her right away and it was a very fast service. Took my 5 month old Pomeranian who I was afraid of getting groomed because he is in the middle of his puppy ugliest and I didn't want his fur cut too short. The guy who helped me check him in knew this before I had to even explain how Pomeranian fur is different. His knowledge made me feel comfortable leaving my fur baby. When I picked my Rocky up, he looked so adorable and he smelled good. I was so happy with the work Pet Haven did, I scheduled his next appointment and will definitely be coming back and recommending them to others. I believe the key to a good experience is being realistic about your expectations and clear about what you want. I decided to try a new place in the neighborhood since I recently moved to Burbank and tried this place out. I loved how you walk in and can see everything, they don't take your dog to the back or put in cages. Everything was visible in one big room. I called prior to taking my dog in and told them I wanted to bring him in for a bath and a little trim on the eyes and tail and asked how much it would be. The lady told me it would be 45-50 dollars for both. I was fine with that because I really didn't want to spend 65-75 on a groom at the moment. When I went into the shop to drop him off after making the appointment everything was fine, one lady kept requesting I try this new muddy kind of coating for his skin or what not and I said sure. They did not give me any prices on that so I figure they will just add it on as part of the service because she kept insisting I try it out. She should have let me know how much it would be when she offered it to me. Anyways, I had my dad pick up my dog and When he got there they told him it was going to be 80 dollars!!!! For what!?!?! A groom anywhere else is 65! And they are wanting 80 for a bath!!!? Why in the world would you charge 80 dollars for my dogs bath and trim after I was told they would only charge me 5 dollars extra for the trim!? I was so angry although I loved the way my dog came out looking. I called them and explained everything and said my dog was not even matted! Why would you charge my dad 80 dollars!? How unprofessional of them not to let me know ahead of time how much that muddy thing was or whatever they charged 80 dollars for because over the phone I was told 50 bucks!!! I was told the manager would call me because I really liked how he looked and would have been their regular customer but not anymore! The receptionist understood me and apologized that I wasn't given any prices before they offered those services to me and said a manager would call me. They've messed up a few times so them writing notes don't mean anything. First they've randomly given her a "bear face "cut without my permission which was weird and random.(Never knew what that was until I asked what was that after I left) also making it seem like my fault that time..?my dogs hair style has been the same her whole life so it's nothing new to not touch her ponytail. As I've said since I've been going there enough times you'd think it'll stay that way... One time my original groomer wasn't around so I took a chance with a new one & they messed up by cutting her ball tail completely off.. I let that go...Then my original groomer cut her tongue and blamed my dog..yet my 9 year old yorkie at that time never done that with any groomer***** I let it go too...even while she's bleeding and returning her to me like nothing happened...(didn't tell me until I went back inside to ask what happened ?) (when they should've let me know in the first place)...& I let that go (shouldn't have not gone back after that) few months past by & Allanis randomly chops off more than half her pony tail the afternoon of her 10th birthday party, That's noted not to cut*** and (usually did a good job) But they land up chopping it more than half off & blaming me and telling me I'm wrong??? on how I want my dogs hair??. telling me that's how it's supposed to be? When that's not what she'd usually get?but then what has she been getting all the other good times? Makes no sense. the owner Annie offered me a full refund and asked for my banking information I sent through text just photo of card, 30 mins later takes the offer back...she won't be refunding me because she thinks it wasn't a mistake anymore and I'm over reacting. Cant believe they did this on my dogs birthday party calling me a 2 year old? because i left crying in a car ? No one cried at your shop don't be twisting it up and trying to make me sound worst when your in wrong. I would've rather have said a few more words trust me but instead I left with no words then I decided to hit YOU up. Am I not aloud to have feelings for my dogs hair/ ponytail yall messed up RIGHT before pictures and memories that'll I'll never get back? This hair cut was nothing new which is the whole point***& I dye my dogs hair pink for a reason and I braid it ? Saying that's not how it's supposed to be? when it's her hair style... her whole life? Yes i will cry because that's my child self imagine. You don't know or care how long it took to grow her hair that length after a mistake before (someone new at a old groomers I went too for 7yrs made a mistake) that you knew about it**** I trusted them. & now I will not recommend this place to anyone anymore. if you have a dog that has a certain hair style & they don't believe in it they'll just do what they want instead by getting too scissor happy.. Only lesson I learned here is trust your gut once they make a mistake on your dog they'll most likely do it again And again. Also wouldn't be surprised if this was a toxic work environment since they always have new employees every other month just from what it looks. Their hair is finally back to normal and the groomers do such an amazing job. I have to say... my dogs usually hate the groomers (they tolerated their last one). I used the "Request for Quote" function on the site and Annie quickly replied to my request. I soon made my appointment for my pup to be washed and nails trimmed. Once we arrived, I noticed how calming the Pet Haven environment is. I think this helped my little girl and the staff was super patient and gentle with her. Last Saturday was Mickeys 3nd trip to Pet Haven. First 2 times were great, his hair was long, as anticipated.. he was there for a couple of hours and they called us 15 min before he was going to be done. All was good. This last trip didn't go as well, Mickey was NOT OK when we picked him up. After a couple of days of him not acting like himself... I reached out to Pet Haven through Yelp as it was after business hours. Within minutes Annie was on the phone with me, going over his odd behavior and what could be causing it. She gave me tips on what to look out for and advise as to when to take him to his vet if his behavior didn't change. I took her advice and within a couple of days he was back to his normal self. Not only did she provide great advice on pet care, she gave great recommendations for his future trips to Pet Haven AND followed up a few days later to be sure he was doing well. I cannot thank Annie enough for keeping us in her thoughts and checking on him. In my opinion this is above and beyond what any groomer would do, thank you Annie! read more

Last week I called Pet Haven and inquired about getting my standard poodle groomed. The person I spoke with on the phone was reassured me that the whole staff was well versed in doing all manner of poodle cuts. When we picked up my dog at first glance he looked okay, minus the groomer not doing the tail and making us wait while that part of the service was being performed. However, once we got home a s checked him out there are some very questionable things that have gone on. His nails are all different and on one paw they trimmed all but one. He has a literal hole in his fur that looks like a slip up from when he was being groomed and the tail that we had to wait extra for was done unevenly. Typically, I would let this just go, however the price point was rather high, higher than other places we called in the area, but we wanted to support a local business. I will do a follow up with this review after I contact the business this week and speak with someone there. With all of this said, the staff was super friendly, and they treated my pup well. I was concerned about having my pomsky puppy groomed since it requires someone who is experienced with this bread. It was our puppies first experience in professional grooming. Anne was so welcoming and met us at the counter, introduced herself and said she would be Rhett's groomer. She told be an estimated time frame, and was right on. The staff called to let us know he would be done in 15 minutes. I was so happy with the groomer and great work in making our Rhett look even more handsome. I will definitely be using them every time.
