This place is between Sprouts & Hobby Lobby & parking is always easy to find. Lady & I always feel welcome when we come here! The staff are friendly & helpful... and also knowledgeable (I've asked them questions about dog food & fish... and they know how to answer my questions). They also have a really good selection of dog food, toys, toiletries, etc. and everything is organized well. But the best part about Pet Supplies Plus is their toenail clipping service (for a donation) & their low cost vaccine clinics (every 3rd Thursday of the month from 3pm-8pm). Lady got her updated vaccines (rabies, bordatella, etc) for about $50 & it only took 10 minutes. Awesome! read more

I must confess- while chain pet stores are not my fave- Pet Supplies "Plus" (I always wonder what those quotation marks MEAN?!?) is a regular spot for me. They carry some higher end brands of dog food, and have quite the extensive selection of those brands. This particular store also has several standup freezers in the back stocked with special raw frozen foods. I'm one of those nerdy pet people that probably reads more on the labels of what I'm feeding my precious pup- than I read labels for myself. Currently, we're feeding Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Frozen diet - and they always have several different protein options to choose from (chicken, organic chicken, beef, bison, venison, lamb, rabbit, duck). You don't typically find this particular food in all it's varieties at other big pet stores - it's often found in smaller specialty pet food stores. I've been to a few of the other PSP stores around town, but I think this one seems the biggest, cleanest, and has more to choose from. read more

I did quite a bit of research on dog food before picking up our puppy and Pet Supplies Plus carries a lot of the great brands you want find at Petco and the other "major" pet stores such as Fromm's, Evo, Innova, Holistic, and Orijen. Staff was extremely helpful, offered to special order some speciality treats I had read about, and advised me that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee on everything in the store- the gentleman said "even if it is shredded up we will give you a full return amount towards something better if your dog isn't happy with anything you buy." Friendly staff and convenient locations around the metroplex; we've already been back several times in the past week! Crawfordsville, In store advertises Sunday delivery. At 4:00 pm, I decide i better call and find out where my order is since they close at 6:00. I was told that the lady who does delivery doesn't work Sundays and will be in tomorrow to do deliveries. i had to call them to be told that. They were just going to NOT show up today without calling or emailing. so I guess my dog was supposed to understand where his food was at 8:00 tonight??? If you want to wash your dog without any of the mess like you end up having at home this is the place to go. For $10 you may wash your dog in a wash bay/stall with the option of using deshedding formula, hypoallergenic shampoo or an oatmeal shampoo. The only ding is not having brushes or scrubbers readily available so your hands have to do that work, but value for the dollar makes up for it. Go do it... your dog will love you for it. read more

After months dealing with my dog and his skin allergies I decided to try better quality food. I did a lot of research online and finally decided on prepackaged raw. The problem is that the big name pet stores do not carry raw dog food. That is why I was so happy to find Pet Supplies Plus. They not only carry a wide range of better foods (including raw) but also carry treats and chews that I can't find elsewhere. I am also able to find better quality cat food for my cat here. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. I am very happy I found this store. I have much healthier and happier pets now. I am happy to support this smaller chain pet store. read more

I went to this store as a volunteer for an adoption event and was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of items they have. The small animals they carry also seemed well taken care of, though I did question the cages for the budgies and cockatiels as they didn't seem to have enough perches to stand on. The employees were nice and knowledgeable. I only wish one were closer to my house in Rowlett as I would shop here instead of Petsmart/Petco mainly because of their efforts to help rescues. The people who worked here were extremely nice. I was offered help by two different staff members, and they seemed genuinely interested in helping me find what I wanted. I was looking for one of those inflatable e-collars for my kitten who was just spayed (the hard plastic cone seemed uncomfortable to her). The staff members quickly checked all their stock. Even though they didn't have the item, I was surprised to see a big selection of other things like toys and grooming tools, and a HUGE selection of food. They sell "grocery store" brand food all the way up to the high-end specialty foods. I normally buy Hill's food, and the prices here were about 30% less than what they were at PetSmart. That added up to a $10 difference in one case of canned food. I will definitely come back, both for the great price on the food and for the friendly service. read more

I enjoy shopping here as they carry a vast variety of pet food brands, beyond what Petsmart or Petco would carry. You can get the more hard-to-find holistic pet foods or just Purina, whatever suits your needs. (There is not a great variety of small animal feeds or fish supplies, however.) People with animal welfare concerns will appreciate that they don't engage in (exploitive) pet trade practices like the other large retailers. Another "plus" is the membership card which earns you cash discount toward future purchases. I wasn't sure of the value of using the membership card until my last visit to the store, when I was rewarded $7 off my transaction. Cool! EDIT: small pets are now sold here. EDIT: PSP has discontinued the "$7" membership program. I believe they have instituted an "nth-bag-free" offering similar to Petco. read more

Went into Pet Supplies Plus and the manager, Jeremy? was his name, I think, offered some of the best service ever! He educated me about my senior cat ( she's 19 ) and how senior pets eat...what they need. No high pressure sales, just knowledge! He also helped me in understanding the labels of the pet food bags and what to look for regarding my 8 1/2 year old rescue dog. Again, no pressure at all and open to all brands...whatever works! Ive been to many pet stores but this one is on the top of my list! i love the self bathing stations. the price is great considering they supply you with endless clean white towels and different array of shampoos conditioners shedding and the famous oatmeal shampoo. as for the staff. you cant ask for more informative and pet loving people. they offer a deal if you buy the bath services in advance. i just love this place and i must drive a bit to get there but the way they treat me and my dog is worth it. read more

My favorite Pet Supplies Plus location! This location is clean and staffed with friendly and knowledgeable employees. They have a fantastic selection of foods, treats, pet supplies, vitamins/supplements, toys, etc. that fits every kind of budget. We like their good selection of organic/healthy dog foods, treats, and supplements. If you approach a staff member with a question that they don't have an answer to, they will immediately ask for a manager to assist. The managers are always willing to go that extra mile to answer questions or provide resolution. I've interacted with one manager (wish I remembered his name) on numerous occasions, for product inquiries and a return, all handled to complete satisfaction. The employees kept my kids entertained at the fish tank, talking to them about the fish and feeding them, while I selected and paid. The clerk was so friendly.
