I took my cat to this place as a walk-in. The woman in charge (the Dr), was very rude. She complained (very loudly) saying: "I'm never getting out of here today." She picked up the clip boards she has everyone sign, and said "I can't even read what they wrote," and threw them down in frustration. The Dr acted very aggitated the whole time. My poor terrified cat and I waited 2 hours for this woman to say: I can't examine her. She's hissing and may scratch, bite." She refused to do any type of tests on her and said "try and antibiotic" for my cat peeing outside the box. This was not my cat having an infection. This woman is too cheap to hire help in her own vet. I would recommend going to a vet who doesn't complain about their customers and is nice when you ask for help. I went to a PetVet clinic at the Macedonia, OH Tractor Supply for our cat on Sunday 1/26, which needed its eye (red and sore) looked at and I was hoping for some eye salve... I drove a half hour, stood at the front of the line for another half hour, and got turned away because they said they only do vaccinations. ??? I thought they were actual Vet's... IMO, only good if you need a rabies vax for a dog license renewal I guess. Don't waste your time if it's anything more than that. The assistant kid in scrubs seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else on the planet than doing the Vet thing. Kinda rude IMO. Sort of treated the customer (me) like cattle. After doing some more research, I found I could purchase a cat (pet) safe antibiotic eye salve overnight off Amazon. Look for Terramycin if anyone's interested. read more

At first they seemed ok, besides being short on staff and me having to assist in a procedure that was clearly needing a vet assistant. I have a problem with the way prescriptions have to be filled. Instead of writing prescriptions to be filled wherever and whenever they are needed...I can only call PetVet to acquire the meds. This has become an issue now, because I have been calling all week to fill the script but no one has answered nor returned my call. What I need is Science Hill stress diet which is only by prescription. One moment they tell me if my cat eat anything other than this food, he will get kidney stones and possibly die from not being able to pass them. But when PetVet see they drop the ball on his script, they say feed him any food until I can get his script filled. I am totally fed up with half azz CS and lies to cover inconsistency. Had Dr Lawless recently treat 3 of our cats let alone others we have. She is really just the best and if she can't treat for certain things she will certainly send you elsewhere. It's a busy place so have patience but well worth the wait. She's a Walk In so plan your time accordingly. read more

Sat for 2.5 hours with my sick elderly dog. Was not a welcoming environment at all. The staff was rude and not at all reassuring. When we tried to leave, we were told we should be next. Next never came. I wouldn't use this place for a stray, let alone a beloved pet in pain. read more

Care is very affordable, and the staff are great. Be aware, Dr. Lawless isn't a full service vet. Are you wanting to spend "as much as it takes" for diagnostics and treatment. Wanting a CT Scan or MRI, or the removal of a lobe of little fifi's liver- this isn't the place for your cridder. Dr. Connie only keeps a small formulary in the office and doesn't have x-ray on site. Required vaccinations, chip placement, cleaning a wound, stitching up an ear, draining an abcess, getting your little boy dog's nuggets removed, routine nail and dental care-Dr. Connie is the best. She also is great for recommending what the best course of treatment would be, even if she doesn't offer that service. Every animal I've taken to her, she has treated like it was one of her own. Sometimes I think my cat likes Dr. Connie more than me. read more

I took my dog here as I was unable to get him into my regular vet. He had a couple of health problems that Dr. Lawless was able to dx and was very informative on how to take care of it. She checked him over, medications, all for a very reasonable cost. I will be bringing him back to this facility for his care needs! read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. My dog is a nervous puppy (almost 2) and I mentioned that several times. I had to take my 3 kids with me and chose this place because my usual vet was booked and needed an appointment quickly. I got bad vibes immediately when the doctor came in. Every procedure was done in the room with me holding my dog on the leash. There wasn't much of a check up, didn't ask about her other than how she does with nails. Every other place I've ever taken her says that she does good. Also every other place has taken the dog(s) to a separate area when they do vaccines or nail trims. These people tried to cut her nails while I was holding my 2 month old and holding my dog on the leash. They tried wrangling her which freaked her out. And they couldn't hold onto her and she flipped hard on the floor. She bled everywhere and they were visibly nervous themselves and very unprofessional. They absolutely traumatized both my dog and my kids. read more

Dr. Connie has been there for us with compassion, knowledge, honesty and a love for animals that cannot be exceeded. She has treated my dogs and taken time with them and me to be sure all issues and health questions are answered and dealt with. You could look a long time and only pray you find a doctor with a heart for animals that would match the care and love that she gives to her patients. She and her staff are tops in my opinion. Don't look any further, you have found your vet. She is so affordable and so thorough. She is walk in only but it's never been too too busy. Everyone that works there is very nice and laid back. It is a relaxed atmosphere in there but don't think patient care suffers because it doesn't. So thankful we found this gem. read more

This is the best vet for general care you can find in Northeast Ohio. Dr. Connie White Lawless is amazingly good with every animal we have ever taken there. She acts like she loves my furry family members as much as I do. The hours are very convenient, and the prices are so good you will be tempted to ask to pay more just to be fair! Be aware, the office is fairly low-tech. I hope in the future they will be able to offer x-rays, and more comprehensive lab work in the office, but for hands-on care and outstanding compassion, you can't do better than The Pet Vet of Copley/ Dr. Connie White Lawless. read more
