OMG, hell froze over! When was the last time you shopped for a new BMW? Ever walk in to a bimmer dealership, mosy around the lot and never being asked by a sales person if you needed help? I suspect most BMW shoppers experienced the unfriendliness of BMW dealers as I described above. I started shopping for a 335i sedan back in early February and decided to check out Peter Pan due to the close proximity to my house. My previous experience with Peter Pan was lackluster to say the least. Of the 4 times I visited Peter Pan, I was only approached once to see if I needed any assistance. Given my past experience, I figure I would just walk on to the lot, check out the colors and options and get a sense of what I wanted. To my amazement, as I drove into Peter Pan's lot on a saturday and got out of the car, a sales guy by the name of Jason Lau approached me and asked if I needed any help. I told Jason that I'm interested in a new 335i but will not be buying one til the end of the month for 2 reasons: 1) I don't know what color/options I wanted 2) My bonus check from work won't hit my account til month end. Despite that, Jason walked me around the lot, gave me a run down of available options, and offered to take me for a test drive. Through out the test drive, Jason encouraged me to really drive the car and experience its full potential. We also talked rough pricing - he didn't try to BS me with MSRP pricing. Just for comparison sake, I also visited Weatherford BMW and Stevens Creek to see if I can get better pricing. First, Stevens Creek BMW was a comlete waste of time. I walked in on President's day weekend morning expecting to see a busy dealership (figuring people be interested in getting a car before month end). Quite a few potential customers were walking around and checking out cars, but not a sales person was in sight. I even walked into the dealership building itself (which I normally detest it doing) to see if I can get some help. Nope, nada, no help. Looked into the nearest car reflection to see perhaps I had a booger hanging out of my nose or if I dressed like a bum - nope. 30 minutes and no help later, I just left in disgust. Weatherford was a more pleasant experience. As soon as I walked on to the lot, a sales manager asked if I needed help. Told the guy I was interested in buying a 335i and wanted to test drive one. No problem he said and went off to grab a key. As I was waiting for him to return, another lady asked if I needed any help. Test drive was short and sweet. At this point, I know what the car feels like and the options I want, and really am just interested in pricing. As we were wrapping up, I gave the sales manager my biz card and told him to email me the best price as soon as he can locate a car that matched my requirements. A few days later, I got an email from Weatherford saying "We found a car that matches your spec. Can you come in and talk?". Not wanting to burn time and mileage, I wrote back stating that just email me your best price. I already know what the car looks like. If I like your price, I'll come in and buy it. Guess what? No response. *sigh* Whatever. Back to Jason. After the disappointing episode at Stevens Creek and Weatherford BMW, I decided my best chance in getting a car at a good price and not going postal is to go with Jason. I went back to see Jason a few more times to discuss options and possible delivery dates. Each time, Jason was responsive, respectful and always with a smile. When I put down a deposit on the car, Jason pre-ran my credit application so to decrease the amount of time and paperwork I had to deal with on pick up day. Since Peter Pan didn't have the exact car I wanted, Jason arranged for a dealer trade and kept me notified of every step of the trade and when I can pick up the car. D-Day (delivery date: 2/29/08): Showed up at 10am to pick up the car with the Mrs. As we walked into the lobby, Jason smiled at us and got us into his cubicle to start the paper work. We received a book of manuals (he said don't read them, call me if you have any questions), free LED flash lights, free wheel locks, and a set of floors mats - all without asking! Jason entertained the Mrs. while I went over to John Myers, the finance manager to sign the actual paper. Paper signing took all of 5 minutes ( I read and sign fast). John was funny and didn't bother trying to upsell me on the silly dealer padded profit products like most car finance managers try to do. Handed the man a check and ran out to play with my new baby. Over all, I'm very very happy with Jason Lau from Peter Pan. If you get another sales guy at Peter Pan (assuming you don't get the 30 min cold shoulder treatment as I had on previous occasions), ask for Jason instead. After checking out this site, I was skeptical of going down to Peter Pan BMW, as I live in San Francisco, and with the poor experience there, I needed to go find a BMW store to check out some cars. The first time I stepped foot in the dealership, I was a little under impressed with the small showroom, walked around, checked out some cars, and to my surprised, it was pretty busy on this Saturday evening. Let me say, I'm a very difficult person to impress. I was a little ticked off that I was walking around for 10 mins and it seems I couldn't find a sales person anywhere. I understand that they were busy, but Then, after I was done sitting and looking at the car that I was considering (a 2008 535)as I was about to leave and go down the street to Mercedes to look at something else, a sales person FINALLY came to me to say "Hi, is there someone taking care of you today?" I had run in Jason Lau, the internet sales manager. He was with a client already but took the time to apologize for no one coming out and offered to answer questions and help while his clients were signing, Things seemed like they were finally turning around! He answered most of all the initial questions that I had, and even offered that I take the car out with just my wife so I could test drive it without a sales person, I thought that was great! Me and my wife took the car out, came back, and luckily, Jason was done with his clients and he then took the time to come and explain all the options, answered more questions and was extremely attentive. After some time talking, I decided to see what kind of pricing I could get, 1 hr later, I was shaking his hand, and he was getting my new BMW ready! I was extremely pleased with how everything turned out and being able to run into Jason, as he made the experience of buying a car how it's supposed to be! A few weeks later, I had some more questions on certian things to do with the car, but didn't want to drive down to San Mateo, but Jason even offered to drive to our home! He programmed our garage door opener, and went over a couple more things, and saved me a trip south. I couldn't believe that someone would take the time to do this. I read another review saying that Jason will drop you, and I don't feel that's the case. It's been about 3 weeks now, and I'm happy, I've told several friends about my experience with Jason and Peter Pan BMW, and one of my friend's just ordered a 1series with him, and seems very exicited to get her car. If I didn't run in him, I'd probably be driving a Mercedes. Truely 5-Star service. read more

My wife and I have own a 7 series BMW for 10 years and felt it was time for a newer one. I've only bought 3 cars from a dealer in my life; until now. Those first three times were a major hassle. Regardless of how great my credit was, etc...It always turned into an all day, drag-out ordeal, that left me feeling like I would never buy from a dealer again. I used to have a lot of time to bicker on price and shop around, but today I don't have time, so like everyone, I shopped on the web first to school up on price, found the car I wanted (at Peter Pan BMW) on the web and sent an Email, saying I was on my way over. The only reason I went again to a dealer was, I grew up in the area and have always heard good things about Peter Pan. 'Can there really be a good car dealer' I thought? 30 minutes later we were taking a test drive with Norm, the sales person (He was awesome!). No, I didn't have to pay for the gas. 10 minutes after the test drive, I made an offer and we were sitting down for a latte, a tea and the dreaded paperwork. 30 Min later, paper work down, handshake, deal done and into the dreaded finance office. I never thought I would EVER, ever say this...we had fun! Shake (pronounced Shack) was a delight. None of the typical hard up-selling. Yes he offered this and that, but without any typical pressure and strong BS that I expected from a dealer. It would have taken only 15 Min, but we were genuinely having a good conversation, so it took about 30 Min. In less than 2 hours, we had bought our 'newer' 2008 BMW 750I that we wanted and at the price I wanted. We went down the street for lunch, came back after the car detail was done (60 Min) and we were driving back across the San Mateo bridge to home. Wow! Great experience. Thank you Norm and thank you Shack. Important note I learned: Buying from a dealer has changed. The whole used car buying, pricing issue is very transparent now. Everyone who has Internet access knows what stuff cost now and what's a fair price. That includes dealers. So it's possible to get a good and fair deal at a dealer now, without risking all the unknowns of buying from a private seller. Just my opinion. read more

The most AWFUL dealership on the Peninsula if not all of California. I bought a car there in January and was suckered into buying a warranty that was promised to be bumper to bumper. I had two other people with me as the the "competent" sales person Johnny told me that the only things not covered under this warranty were cosmetic items such as tire changes, oil changes, etc. Not even two months later my alternator broke down and I took it to BMW to have this item repaired and low and behold the warranty did not cover this! Surprise! Also I cannot even describe how rude every single one of the employees was to me and guess how much it cost to have this part replaced, almost $600! After going back to this dealership SEVERAL times and explaining to every single customer service person that I was told this was going to be covered under the warranty they finally agreed to pay for half of the cost. After speaking with my lawyer he determined that they indeed scammed me and I was entitled to getting all of my funds back for this incident. It took a lawyer sending them a letter for them to even respond to me. And guess what after talking to the manager of the store he promised me that if I wrote him an email explaining that I now understand that my warranty does not cover me bumper to bumper that he would send out a check for the rest of the funds. After I did just that he let me know that this was no longer going to be enough and sent me a waiver and release of liability form that would release Peter Pan BMW of all liability for not only this claim, but for all future claims as well. They must think that their customers are just plain stupid because no one in their right mind with a half a brain would sign something like that, especially since that was not what I agreed to. They didn't even spell my name right on this waiver, they are the most incompetent people that I have ever had to deal with. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE, they will lie, cheat, and scam you throughout the entire process. They are not responsive and can't even spell their customer's name right on a legal document. read more

These guys are as good as it gets! Great sales guy (George Allen) doesn't waste time, very knowledgeable, super nice guy, doesn't BS, is patient and works miracles in financing. This guy lifted the car for me in their shop so I could see everything I was concerned about. They let me use their mirrors and flashlights for deep inspections and kept it up for a good deal of time until I was satisfied. That says a lot about a dealership when they (tech and all) are super helpful (coached me through an inspection, lol, this guy was great!) and willing to waste time and money while you tie up their lift on a busy day just to give you peace of mind!!!!! These guys are so awesome! Best finance guy ever! (Shaq!) Generally speaking finance guys are the best guys you'll deal with at any facility but this guy is actually looking out for your best interest. He even offers quality temporary counseling, lol. Sorry I cried in your office, I was really very torn between having the coolest car ever and actually paying for it, haha, or not. Decisions that involve the kind of money I spent take a great toll on me especially when it isn't something I necessarily NEED. M6's just fall into that category for me. This guy tried to talk me out of buying the car to make sure I ACTUALLY wanted it... I think, lol. You rock Shaq! Now, the guy in a dealership you really have to watch out for when you are buying a car is the Sales Manager but not if you go to Peter Pan BMW and deal with Kieth Ray! Nicest, most respectful, thoughtful, least-likely to EVER rip you off, non-BSing sales manager you will EVER FIND. Gave me the BEST PRICE I could imagine on the car and the extra things I wanted to buy for it. If I could afford a $500 tip for each of these guys I would totally do it because they all worked their butts off for me. Go buy your next car at Peter Pan BMW and deal with these guys. You will never want to go anywhere else again! I know I don't and I buy a lot of cars at countless diffrerent dealerships. These guys are twice as good as the best! What a DIFFERENCE a good salesman makes when it comes to buying a car. We recently purchased a BMW from George Allen at Peter Ban BMW. We visited a couple of other dealerships, but George was by far the best. George is really knowledgeable. He was very patient with me when I asked him all of my questions. I probably asked him some silly questions, but he never made me feel like they were silly questions. He went over all the features of the car and was very informative. I never felt any pressure to buy. And, that is what I really appreciated. He was GENUINELY interested in helping me find the BMW with the features that I wanted. What is nice about George is that during the course of showing us the cars, he was also finding out what features were important to us (he was really listening to us). Then, he matched us up with a car that had all the features that we wanted. I am so glad that George showed us the Navigation System. It is not something we initially planned on getting, but after George went over the system with us, we were sold! Now, I have the BMW I have always wanted and I am sooooo happy with our purchase! George wanted to make sure we got the car we wanted, and he succeeded. We usually dread the negotiating process when we buy a car. But, not with George. George made it quick and easy. And, the best part is that we got an awesome price with no haggling. I can honestly say that this is the BEST car buying process that we have ever gone through -- thanks to George. Nader was professional, easy-going, and incredibly efficient in helping me negotiate my trade-in for my Audi A5 to a 2025 BMW i4 eDrive40. Even after we finished our transaction, Nader took the time to go through features specific to the i4 after I had mentioned I had already driven ICE 4 & 5-series and has remained responsive and helpful, which I truly appreciate and find rare in the industry. The dealership's website is impressive, boasting a great inventory of vehicles that made my search easy and enjoyable. I was also able to get an accurate estimate of my Audi's trade-in value online, which set clear expectations before I even walked through the door. Additionally, the location itself is aesthetically pleasing, making the visit even more enjoyable. While inspecting the i4, Nader and I noticed a small scrape on the front right bumper and the passenger side skirt. However, Nader promptly assured me that their service center would take care of these minor issues, and we are currently in the process of scheduling that service. EDIT AS OF 2/17/25: It turns out the scrapes were only surface level and a good hand washing took care of it.
