Never been to a Pete's Fresh Market, so I stopped here to pick up a few items and take a look around. Great location if you need to stock up on imported food stuffs from around the world. I was impressed by the array of premade foods and cold/hot bar items. Prices were on par with other stores. Sale items in the Alcohol area were excellent. Friendly service staff. Washroom cleanliness could use some attention. Will be back to shop again. read more

Now this is what I call a fresh market! First time ever coming here and I was completely blown away with the selection of food and beverages here. They even have a great variety of alcohol here too as well as brands I've never heard of. It's got fresh food here as well. Prices are moderate. Staff here is beyond friendly. I love Pete's! This is the closest to us and I have gone to Willow Brook also and plan to scope out several around the Chicagoland area. I cannot be more happier than a girl in a candy store. They have it ALL. Love the open bar of foods that I have had several and many repeats. The veggies are awesome. I had the pasta salad with tri color pasta and it was to die for. So clean and so many things to choose from. The veggies/fruit area is the best around. The meat market has the best meats and prices are better than most stores. The fresh fish is grand and seasonal as most markets are except for Whole Foods who is at the top. The breads and tried two things in the deli, not a deli person by far, but these items were the exception. Donuts are better than Dunkin and any other stores. Service people are outstanding. They keep the meats and items together in the bags as its easy for us to fill our cooler. For all the meals we get its worth the time to spend getting to these stores. PLEASE COME TO PLAINFIELD, IL! I had seen one sign in New Lenox for a few years now, no ground breaking there, but there is plenty of room on Route 59! We need better and different grocery stores and it would be a goldmine here for accessibility and the general grocery stores which I only go when I have to. Amazon Fresh is good and the closest is Naperville, but on Route 59. Highly recommend for overall the BEST grocer in IL. read more

What a little gem! I was in the area and needed to pick up some items for dinner and boy am I glad I found this place! Clean, spacious isles, abundance of fresh, neatly organized food! I came here because they had Bulgarian "feta" cheese on sale and are the only ones who carry it locally without having to drive to Romeoville to Tony's. Wonderful selection of beautiful produce at low prices, high quality meat department, extensive deli specializing in European cold cuts and sausages, thorough cheese island and so much more. Not as much selection as Tony's, but equally impressive in quality and customer service. They have several buffet islands filled with fresh hot and cold foods from every corner of the globe - curries, Greek lamb chops, Mac and cheese, chicken parmesan, fried rice - you name it. Perfect place to pick up a quality home-cooked meal any time of the day. Bakery was extensive and snagged a gorgeous key lime pie for my wife to test it out. I only like location and that i can find some european food. Fruits vegtables - i am super dissapointed i will upload picture bellow. Organic strawberries 5.99$ and out of whole box only about 3 that you might be able to eat. When my husband mentioned that either take it out from shelfs or reduce the price they said somethig like its too expensive to do so. Most people who works there are friendly. So complains are not about workers but about quality and price of their products. I also had issues with fajita meat once... pickles that were squishy soft and lady mentioned that i cant return it while i had receipt and i got those just day before.what i want to say is that i didnt hold for weeks and complained i got it i opened it and it was not like ussual - it was not good! This is a nice store overall, but if you buy strawberries here, you should be aware that the staff in the produce department sort through them and package them using their bare hands. I don't know if this is a food handling violation, but it seems rather gross to me. After observing this practice several times, I suggested to the management that the staff wear plastic gloves while handling the strawberries. This would be a simple step to help ensure food safety, but I noted while shopping at Pete's this morning that nothing has changed. So I decided to post this review. read more

Slowly changing and not carrying the same variety of items. Ever since meat counter has been converted to fish counter, you cannot get custom meat only what's in case. They changed their bakery to only their brand which is not that good. Slowly going downhill. Was so unique and top notch from when it first opened. read more

Getting a little disappointed with their quality. I was at the cheese fridge the other day and they had a package of Russian cheese that was completely green from mold. Seems like the international items that people don't buy too often aren't getting their expiration dates checked. read more

Wow! What a great produce; no doubt, a large selection of various fruits and vegetables. For my first time I was impressed with how clean it was. I got everything I needed.
