Pete's 2 Has become my husband and my favorite again. Yum taste like the original again so so happy. The best around by far.

I've only ordered pizza to go here, it was TASTY ... I especially like all the choices they have for toppings. Stuff you don't usually see. When a pizzeria has capicola as an option you know its going to be good. Sometimes I've gotten pizza here and it's been a little too crunchy for me,maybe a bit over cooked. I lived on Major St. around the corner from Pete's about 5 years ago. The fact I still think of this pizza should tell you how incredible it is. I have sampled pizza from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon and everywhere in between. I now live in Seattle and there is nothing like it on the West Coast (period). Really good reinvention of Pete's. Great atmosphere with a very modern feel. Ok to good pizza (try the margarita or the onion and mushroom). Beer selection was good with some good craft seasonal beer and others on draft. Service is also excellent here. Friendly and attentive. Will come back. read more

Loooooveedd their thin crust pizza! Their sauce is deliciously sweet and you won't have to worry about heartburn, so you can leave your maalox and pepto bismal at home. Fresh ingredients are a plus. Pete's has the best pizza. I order the thin crust Mushroom Pizza and it's amazing every time. I love the sauce and the fact that they use a ton of cheese on their pizzas. Delivery can be slow at times but the food is always good. read more

I grew up eating gigio's pizza on Broadway just north of Wilson Avenue on the north side uptown area. I do consider myself a pizza snob. When gigio's changed their ingredients they lost a long time client. So I don't have allegiance to any establishment. When you sell a below par product don't be surprised with the critique. The sausage and mush room pizza that I was delivered was dry, salty found the cheese rubbery, and the crust chewy. read more

We ordered food for pickup as we live close by. My wife ordered the baked chicken and I ordered the chicken vesuvio. Both of our chickens were over done and tough. One of the least favorite chicken dinners we ever had. read more

My family's preferred pizza place, and we've tried a lot. Their stuffed pizza is amazing with a buttery crust. I would love to eat more than two slices of stuffed but I'm usually in a happy food coma by that point. Their thin crust is just right as well. Whenever friends come to town, they want Pete's for dinner the first night. We almost always do delivery or pick-up, so can't really comment on the dine-in experience. I kinda wish they would invest in some sort of phone number tracking system so I don't have to give them my address EVERY time I order, but then again why mess with success? I have been coming to Pete's for years and years. They have gotten better with age! They've remodeled the place and it's beautiful inside. Great place for parties, get-togethers, or just dinner on any day of the week. Excellent Mozzarella sticks! The best pizza in the neighborhood, and excellent beer, and wine list. This place also has a cappuccino bar, and great desserts. I love coming here, because the service is also excellent with friendly and experienced servers. The food is awesome, and home-made. Good quality ingredients. The sauce was well balanced, but I would've like a bit more on the pizza. The cheese could've been a bit more flavorfull, but good overall. The crust was really well done, had to pick some really well done parts off, but the pizza definitely had some good flavor to it. read more

Everyone we been here the pizza has been good, along with the appetizers. The service is good as well. No it's not Lou Malnatis or anything but for a decent pizza this place is just fine. The decor is nice and the place is clean. They have tv's to catch a game and have a beer as well. read more

This is a warning, if you like wasting your money on greasy over priced, bland pizza, then Petes2 is your restaurant. They at one time had great pizza, but I believe they have either new ownership or changed the pizza recipe. At any rate. Don't say you weren't warned. I lived two blocks from the restaurant from 2002 to 2007 and had ordered at least 50 pies from them and they never let me down. Recently I was back in the old neighborhood and decided to go in for a pie. The large thin crust sausage and pepperoni pizza was excellent! This was my first time actually dining in and that is why I cannot give them 5 stars. I understand nostalgia and how nothings changed inside over the years but come on green duct tape on the old torn up booths and a carpet that is worn down the center, wood panel walls that have not been wiped clean in years table tops coming apart!! I recommend them for carry out only. Do not eat in especially if your trying to impress someone,not a date place. read more

Been twice now, had a meatball sub and a chicken parm sandwich and pizza. All were disappointing. Meatball sub was nearly inedible. Meatballs were basically onion flavored breadballs. Fries soggy both times. Won't go back. Too bad because it's so close to me. I only give it two stars because of the nice ambience and good beer selection. read more

They have a great selection of italian food. And they have a bar. Staff is friendly. Prices are little higher compared to the size of their portions but it is Chicago and taxes are high. I also appreciate The Beatles pictures on their walls. read more

Excellent pizza! I used to order from the Western Ave. location. However, throughout the years something happened along the way, and it just isn't that good anymore :( . We decided to give Pete's #2 a try. We ordered a sausage/mushroom pizza for pick up. The inside of the place looked new, like some updating had recently been done. When we got home, I was impressed with the quality and taste of our pizza. I immediately told my wife "This is the Pete's Pizza I remember!" Needless to say, we will be ordering from Pete's 2 again in the future. Prices are on the high side, but definitely worth it! read more

Really nice Chicago location on the west side. I really like how they remodeled and made it modern with more seating. The food is always made with fresh ingredients. It can take a while sometimes but the end result is worth it. One of the few places that has a good deep dish pizza. read more

I've lived for many years around Roscoe Village and Logan Square. I miss the selection of restaurants that was at my door step. Now, living in Jeff Park/Portage Park, that level of choice is gone. This place is a culinary desert. Restaurants out here are bland and boring. Pete's give me hope and good pizza. Pizza's pizza, and Pete's does alright with it. The thin crust was decent and crispy. The pan pizza couldn't make up it's mind if it was trying to be deep dish. I've lived in the area practically all my life and I remember trying Pete's once or twice a long time ago. My family and I started frequenting Pete's again within the last year, and I don't know why I hadn't considered it before. I love it! Our previous pizzerias changed their recipes at some point and they lost me. Pete's is great and very consistent for the most part. This runs neck and neck as my favorite local pizza joint. The thin crust is really good and tasty with quality toppings. The sauce is tangy and not overly sweet or salty. The crust is thin and crispy and has a slight buttery taste to it. And the cheese is really good as well as these combined elements make it a slam dunk in my book for a great neighborhood delivery joint. And it's the only place in the area that has Steak Fries which I seem to love but no one seems to have them anymore. My only thing is its kind of pricey, a large 3 topping with fries delivered after tip was $30. But still a good option as I don't mind paying for food if I really enjoy it and Pete's thin crust pizza definitely fits the bill for me. read more

Pete's is a solid 4 star pizza. Getting 5 stars in this town from this reviewer is holy grail stuff so here we go. I stumbled into petes #2 when i used to live with a roomate over by marmora and bryn mawr. You need to know that Pete's is GREESY. I have no problem with that but if you are still ordering pizza and watching your figure, steer clear. Toppings are good, sauce is good, crust is good. This is pretty thin pizza so if you are in between sizes, go up one. Ask when you order, but i think they usually include a free litre of RC (the best cola BTW). Rest of the stuff is OK. they have skinny fries which come soggy and not my bag of chips (see rosatis review for the fix). burgers were dissapointing, if you need a burger delivered, good luck, they never travel well (except leona's but they shut down the harlem iriving store) read more
