Very solid place known apparently more for their calzones than pizza. It even says "King of Calzones" on the side of the building! Maybe it should be called Pete's Calzones and we also sell pizza. But I'll tell you they do calzones right. And judging from the number of people I saw ordering pizza they must be pretty good at that too. FOOD: I was craving pizza but it is so hard to find a good calzone. Haven't had a good one since I was a kid. Now I have. Usually the problem is the crust gets soggy. There's too much liquid inside and/or it becomes too greasy. But this calzone had a nice crust all the way through from end to end and in the middle! Not too thick and a nice amount of both cheese and meat in the center. Every bite had meat and cheese in it. The sauce was good but not great and wish the meatballs were a little bit more flavorful but to have such a good calzone was a treat. SERVICE: Excellent. They had made a mistake on my order but were quick to rectify it. Super nice about it too. The wait is a bit long but that's what it takes to make it right so call ahead of time. Would have been good to include a knife and fork with it because it's too big to pick up. COST: About $13 for a calzone and worth it.

Stopped in while passing through Spokane on our way to Missoula, MT. Saw it, checked reviews on Yelp, and decided to give it a try! We were so glad we did! They have their own private parking lot. We had our dogs with us and wanted to park in a place where we could keep an eye on them while dining inside...this was the perfect place! The staff was very friendly and helpful, since this was our first time here. The dining area was clean and decor was nice. There are no booths, just tables and chairs. Not the most comfortable, but decent enough to grab a bite and not hang out too long. You order at the counter, get a number, and they bring it to you. We were forewarned the pizzas/calzones take about 20 minutes...30 when it gets busy and the oven is backed up. We ordered the Verona and Hawaiian 'lite' calzones. They were absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of crust and toppings. Too many times I've had a calzone that had WAY more crust/dough than toppings. These were perfect! If we're ever in the area, we'll definitely stop in here again! Highly recommend!

This is the Pete's our family likes the best. It is more relaxed than the one by Gonzaga. They are also very conscious of health guidelines for those who that may matter to. We always do their build your own option for the calzones. My daughter's boyfriend prefers bbq sauce over marinara on foods like this, and I think he just found his new fave place lol. I'm sure that it's been mentioned before, but it is always best to call them and order everything about 30 mins before you expect to get there. You walk in, sit down, and lunch is at your table in moments. I've always wondered why this place isn't called Pete's Calzones? That's what they are known for right?

Ranchero calzone of the month... Loved it

So I am giving it four stars because I tried to call in my order so I didn't have to wait and the phone kept disconnecting as soon as it was answered. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. So I gave it a try today because of the Tuesday special which is any calzone for $9.95 plus $3 if you want the king size. We ordered the original and the monthly special which was a ranchero, great calzones. We did get the full size for both, which is a great portion. This place has loyal customers that I'm guessing comes out every Tuesday. I watched over and over customers come through the door and the staff knew exactly what they wanted before they even got to the counter. I know others have commented on this as well that it's called Pete's Pizza, however, they are the calzone King and offer very few pizzas, don't hold it against them lol. Staff...the guy who was putting the orders together was so smiley. I have mixed feelings about the cashier that took my order because I am not totally convinced that they were not just hanging up on calls, because honestly her response didn't seem genuine.

I love Pete's pizza. It's been around forever for a reason. He's the calzone king. Order at the counter they make your calzone and you sit and enjoy a classic. Portions and prices are great. I split a salad and a zone last night and we still had leftovers.

Love this place. The staff are always friendly, both on the phone and in person. Since the calzones take a bit to cook we always call our order in. I've been coming to this location for as long as I can remember and have never ordered anything but calzones. I hear the pizza is also good but can't speak to that. The Verona with extra cheese and light sauce is my 'go to' and it is always dead on perfect. If you've never given them a try it is worth putting on your bookmark list.

Parking is street parking only, and it gets tight once the restaurant gets busy. The atmosphere started out quiet but quickly turned lively as the night went on. The space feels clean, cozy, and homey, a good mix of casual and upscale without feeling stuffy. Service was excellent. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was friendly, professional, and perfectly timed, attentive without hovering or rushing us. For food, I ordered the Brussels sprouts with jalapeno, ham, and parmesan, also had the butternut squash agnolotti with sage butter. The agnolotti was well made and rich, though a touch on the sweet side for my taste. The Brussels sprouts were fine, but the mild jalapenos caught me off guard. My friend had the chicory salad and really enjoyed it. In hindsight, I wished I had gone with something a little lighter too. Overall, it was a good meal with warm service and a comfortable atmosphere. I would go back, but next time I would explore another item on the menu.

What I Ordered at Italia Trattoria: * Focaccia Bread with olive oil & balsamic * Charred Octopus Salad - citrus, fennel, herbs (would 100% order again) * Panzanella Salad - heirloom tomatoes, focaccia croutons, shaved parmesan * Gnocchi alla Sorrentina - tender potato gnocchi in rich tomato sauce * Spaghetti & Meatballs - classic comfort done right * Grilled Lamb Tongue - with tzatziki, heirloom tomato, and olives * Tiramisu - whipped, airy, chocolate-dusted perfection. * La Jolie Fleur Rosé (2022) - light, elegant, and summery * Lucien Albrecht Crémant Rosé - crisp, floral, and beautifully chilled Their menu is a gem for adventurous food lovers -- think boar, lamb tongue, and octopus done right. Unexpected cuts, unforgettable flavor.

Extremely extremely extremely underwhelming for a $148 tab…read more The leisurely is an option where the entire table has to participate. They charge you $57 a person, and you share the meal. I felt as if our server should have told us immediately that this was a shared option, but even then to make every person pay $57 is nuts for the portion of food that you receive. We are content creator, so we happen to record every dish that we received. ( the leisurely) First thing they brought out was roasted nuts and marinated olives. (6/10). Some of the olives were hard, but the roasted nuts were pretty good. 2. My wife is allergic to shrimp so they were gonna bring out the grilled ponds but instead the chef decided to bring out brussels sprouts. (2/10). It was awful. I almost gagged legitimately, and my wife felt the same, the brussels sprouts also had a foul smell to them as if they were spoiled. - it was paired with the winter salad. In my opinion, that was the second best thing that they brought out. It was very rich in flavor, colorful as well. 3. They then brought out some pasta. Tagliatelle Pasta. This is the best thing that they brought out. The noodles were fresh and the meat choice ( roast) paired very well and it was mildly flavorful, enough to swing both ways but we'd say it swung in the right direction. I'd give it 8.5/10. 4. They then brought out steelhead trout with couscous and cauliflower with roasted carrots. - I think the audacity to give two full grown adults. A 1/3 portion of fish is quite literally disrespectful. It was so disrespectful until it just made me want to leave even more than I did whenever they brought out the brussels sprouts. The piece of fish itself was not seasoned, but it happened to pair slightly with the couscous and whatever sauce. It was quinoa actually.. (6.5/10) flavor wise. I hate really complaining about food, but this was so underwhelming.. that I may have contested the bill if my baby didn't poop out of his clothes during the visit. I will likely update this review with all of the photos once we upload the video just so everyone get an idea. ---- Overall, we would've been much happier, ordering individual dishes off the menu. I don't want to shit all over this place because I do believe it has potential, but I would not advise anyone to do the leisurely. The couple behind us actually didn't eat any of their food either and they apparently chose the same option and she was very upset so I'm glad that we weren't the only ones. I don't think we will return back to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.

We ordered Chicken Al Diavolo and Sea Food Fettuccine. The chicken was sparse and looked like frozen grilled chicken that was heated, maybe three pieces. The menu said there was carrots, celery, artichoke (one piece) and other veggies, also very sparse. The Sea Food Fettuccine had very small clams and salad type shrimp very sparse. Both entrees sauces were very tasty. The salad was great, bread was ok. The butter was very good and had rosemary in it (delicious). The menu stated to ask the waitress for dessert options, it was a celebration of our anniversary so we asked. She stated there were no desserts, but if there was one it would be chocolate lava cake or cheesecake. The dinner came with ice cream so we opted for Vanilla. To our surprise the ice cream did not come in a bowl scooped, but in a small plastic ice cream container with a spoon stuck in it. What a disappointment. $70.00 later and we were out of the restaurant. I wish we would have gone to the Olive Garden at least we would have known what we were getting for our $$. We did order one appetizer for $12.00. It felt like this business would not be in business too much longer I am sorry, but I would rather cook at home then spend $80.00 (including the tip) here.

We had a few items that came out later but it was reasonable and expected. Ambiance is very nice, simple but elegant. You would feel comfortable coming in dressed up or casual. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add. Dessert - I'm always hypercritical of crème brûle because like bread it's pretty simple ingredients but takes some care, Muzuna's nailed it. All in all you should stop in for dinner and you won't be disappointed!

We had a 6:00 reservation, bumped it to 5:30, showed up at 5:00 anyway (because of course we did), and they kindly seated us in the bar area. Cozy little spot... no complaints there. Our waitress was great. Friendly, patient, and willing to roll with my nonsense... which is saying something. I had a free birthday entrée (buy one, get one free), promptly ordered something that wasn't on the birthday menu, realized my mistake, and pivoted back to my usual Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter. Zero regrets. It's my go-to and it absolutely delivered. I ordered the Hearty Meal, which apparently translates to "Sir, here is a mountain of pasta." I barely finished it. I absolutely should not have finished it. I finished it anyway... because I am fat and that is how I roll. My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala. Her official review: "The chicken was OK." However... she loved the Mizithra pasta (a lot). She also enjoyed the Foundry Punch enough to have two, which is always a good sign. Between the two of us, we demolished about a loaf and a half of bread like it was our job. Dessert was spumoni ice cream. My wife had a little. I had mine... and then the rest of hers. Teamwork. The atmosphere was great. It was quiet, they had the playoff game on, so I got dinner and sports... win-win. Prices and value were exactly what you expect from OSF... no surprise fees, no menu gymnastics. They got very busy shortly after we arrived. When we sat down, it was us and one other couple in the bar. By the time we left, every table was full. Nothing wild happened, nothing bad happened... just a good, solid visit. Will we be back? Yep. And next time I might pretend I won't eat the entire plate... but we all know how that ends.
