So I need help getting a price and the sales person said he couldn't I had a bad vibe when I walked in and the cashier was leaning there looking down at the floor sad looking. I've been to PetSmart very often, mind you I have 4 cats and a dog. This one is smaller in store size compare to Walnut and Eastvale. Though the people there are nice and friendly, compare to Eastvale one they seemed less passionate. Now I'm not saying they all need to be working here like they work in Disneyland all smiles and chipper, but it would be nice to see them greet my dog like it's their dog. Although there was this one girl I keep forgetting her name, she remembers my dog every time I walked through the door. That is what I wish could experience from all the employee. Now the groomers, I rarely take my dog to the groomer, but she needed to be Furminated every year, and she hated me when I do that to her. So I took her in to this PetSmart's groomer. She seems to be okay with it, and they are very friendly to her. I like that PetSmart started doing the score card thing they did for the day camp/hotel for the groomers. Lets me know how she's doing and what I need to focus on with cleaning/grooming her. read more

Walked up to the store and the doors opened - it was 8:13 am. I thought "Great! I didn't realize they were open this early!" Walked in and grabbed a cart and went straight for the dog food. It was the only thing I needed and I found the 35 lb bag of Blue Buffalo and stuck it in my cart. As I proceeded to the register the manager walks by and says in a very annoyed tone "ma'am weren't not open right now. Our salon is open but our registers are closed and you can't purchase anything until 9 am." Uggghhh...WHAT?! How is it that I walked by TWO of your store employees and greeted them "Good morning!" Of which they return my greeting and NEITHER of them says anything to the fact?!! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do not come here for pet grooming. I scheduled an appointment for 5:30pm on a Thursday to have my dog groomed and they said the appointment was booked. I get to petsmart for the appointment and then they tell me that there wasn't any appointment booked.. So we had to reschedule for Sunday at 8AM. We drop off my dog at 8AM on Sunday and get a call back around 1PM saying that they couldn't finish grooming our dog because she was "stressed" that there were other dogs around her. Like what?? Mind you she's a small dog. She was there for 5 hours and all they did was shave her. Not even a shower. So now she's stuck with an UNEVEN shaven body and a big ol' fro on her head. This was about our 5th time coming here and we had no problems like this before, which is why I don't believe she was "stressed." If it gets so busy to the point where they can't even finish grooming a dog then why are they accepting so many appointments? I'm giving 2 stars because they didn't make us pay.. A Manager named Amber was especially rude, condescending and highly defensive in our interaction. I asked my teen to call ahead to ensure she did the right thing within their guidelines. After telling my teen over the phone we did NOT have to bring the dead pet fish. All we wanted was to replace the dead fish, died within 10 Days of purchase or a refund. Well within their own policy. Rather than honor what they told us over the phone, they initially denied her refund and tried to sell her water treatment for the fish tank!!! Why? She has no fish!!! Then after insisting and showing a picture of the 4 dead fish, they reluctantly provided a refund but only after they scolded and told my teen if a new water sample is not brought in, they would NOT sell her any more fish? What???? Horrible store. Given everything going on this is certainly not a great time to treat people so poorly. They also called her a liar, denying they took the phone call but we did call!! Did exactly what they asked. My teen worked hard to save for these fish. This was within policy and they simply treated her so poorly. read more

My dog has bruising on her stomach after a grooming session and their grooming salon does not want to take responsibility for it. They attempted to resolve it by giving a free check up with their in house Banfield but even their doctor could not discern what was wrong. We have been coming to this location for a couple years now and the customer service has always been below average, but this is the final straw. Both groomers and the doctor have no answer, and both just gave off the impression of not caring for their customer or the health of the dog. First visit to this store today to have my 13 year old dogs nails trimmed. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the store was how unfriendly the employees at the register & what I think was a joke of a greeter. Then I explained to the groomer that my dog could not stand for a long period of time & would need to lay down while the trimming was done. The groomer made my dog stand on the tile none the less not even on a rubber mat until she collapsed ! Now my poor girl is spread eagle on the tile floor while she finished trimming her nails. My dog exhausted was unable to walk out the door her paws kept sliding on the tile floor. I had to carry her to the rug in the front of the store & leave her to pay for the service. read more

Dont have Jennifer groom your dog. Shes horrible, she ended up shaving my dog's whiskers, no joke. The underside of the paws were uncut. She didnt shave the under belly of my dog. Loose dog hair everywhere!! They said that we have to request to blow dry them so they wont have loose hair. News flash, youre a groomer and suppose to do it anyways because hair is always loose after you cut it, sheesh! Be professional about it. Stay away from this place!!!!!!! They wouldn't accept our yorkie because he didn't have "printed out proof" of his rabies EVEN THOUGH we already brought proof in a pet passport. Our vet even accepts it, so I don't understand why they wouldn't accept it. Our dog got his last shot out of the country and that's how they keep a record of the immunizations. The groomer was also rude when we told him we usually go to PETCO and they accept the proof because he said, "Then, you need to go to PETCO and see if they'll accept you." I made an appointment for my dog to get a bath on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 12:00pm. I dropped my dog off at 12:00pm and was told that I was going to get a call within 3-4 hours. At 5:00pm I still had not gotten a call so I called and was told that my dog was unable to receive any services because she was too aggressive. I asked why no one called and I was told that they had left a voicemail. However, I had no missed call and no voicemail. When I arrived to the salon 5 minutes later, I spoke to the Petsmart manager who told me that she was going to have the grooming salon manager call me the next day. Six days later, and I still have not gotten a call from anyone. It is infuriating that my dog was locked in a cage for five hours with no food and I was not called to pick her up. read more

When calling to confirm they'd changed to 7:00 with totally different groomer. And for not what I asked for. Requested express bath service which we've always done as he's a pug mix. Manager was very unhelpful and claimed they don't do express on weekends but they have. And person who took appt didn't say anything when it was requested. Horrible customer service. read more

I go here a couple times a month for 3 years now for reptile supplies. Most of the time I have to hunt an employee to help me. Sometimes I grab the mealworms behind the door in their fridge because I'm tired of waiting. I've had enough when their stock of mealworms are not consistent and I had to come back another day. Twice. Forget it. I'm not wasting my time here anymore and while your employees are nice, they are not very helpful in that department. read more

DO NOT use the grooming services in Chino Hills. First my dog had her paw snipped and lacerated.....had to see the vet inside (Banfield). Received a second call and her eyelid was lacerated. Groomer called to apologize and told me "don't worry, you won't be responsible for any of the bill for grooming or the vets"! I told her that was the most inhumane thing to continue. I picked up my dog with her paw bandaged, eye bandaged, and a plastic collar around her neck so she couldn't chew her paw or scratch her eye! I believe she was going to be fired. He made helpful suggestions about cats and rescues and can do so on the authority that he owns two. I don't know why I haven't seen him before because I come in for my dog's food and other needs. I every time I come here and am looking for something particular none of the associates ask if I need help unlike all the other petsmart a I been to...I was looking for a costume for my dog last week walking around the store for the longest time and nobody asked me if I needed help and when I go to ask for help they act like I'm bugging them! My little girl needed a grooming. We usually groom her ourselves at home but this time around we all didn't have the time and decided to go to petsmart. I was nervous for my dog because this would be her first grooming and my appointment was with the stylist named Daniela. She was sweet to my dog from the moment I walked in. I was so nervous leaving her but the whole staff seemed friendly and welcoming. Daniela said my dog behaved and I know my dog only behaves with people that make her feel comfortable so I know Daniela treated my baby well. Not only that my dog looks beautiful. My appointment was at 9am and she was done at 11:30am. Thank you Daniela! Will be booking with her again! read more

I wanted to recognize a positive experience I had here during Christmas. I was looking to buy a fish tank and stand set for my fiance's birthday present. Luckily, they were having a "12 Days of Christmas" sale and in two days, they were selling an 38 gallon Aqueon Bow tank with stand and hood for 50% off ($125 originally $250). When I came on the day of the sale, they were out of that fish tank. The manager recognized me when I stopped by the other day, and he said he would let me buy the stand for the sale price, and that I could pick it up when it came in! My gf and I take our dogs to get groomed here regularly but our last visit was not out best experience. Our dog got groomed with nails getting done as well. The hair cut was done horrible. Our dog had many razor burns all over from his neck, cheek as well and around his testicles. A few nails were not even trimmed either. They also forgot to return his collar as well. The Groomers name was Daniel and from the looks of the grooming he didn't handle our dog well. When we took him back for them to check the work and do his nails, he didn't want to walk in and we never had that problem. Safe to say something made him uncomfortable, we won't be returning. They also did not offer a refund or any type of discount. We didn't ask for anything but you would think they would try to keep unsatisfied regular customers. read more

Our dog was there since noon, and we were told to pick him up at 6:30pm. When we picked him up and as we stepped out of the building, our dog peed for the longest time, which means that he wasn't taken out the whole time. Once we came home (5 mins drive away), he drank water from his bowl for a long time too, which makes me question if they give water to the dogs that are waiting there? The grooming result was good ($45 basic + $12 nail cutting, etc.), resulting in the 2 stars, but the slow service, and all of the above make us not want to ever go back. Thxnothx. read more

Super friendly employees. I want to personally mention a young woman named Ashley. I went in, was greeted right away by her as she was at the register. She directed me right to what I needed which helped because I was actually in a hurry. At the end of my visit as she's ringing me up, I'm having a hard time pulling up my coupon and she was so patient and even offered one of her own (pet perks special) seeing as she wasn't going to personally use it.
