First and foremost, HUGE thank you to Christine and Serena for all of their tremendous help and support with mine and my son's new 'aquatic pet journey' I wanted to get a starter aquarium with some fun glo-fish for my four year old son's "first pet" and Christine was SO SO SO helpful showing me exactly what we needed and the proper procedures for maintenance. These two gals have gone above and beyond in their customer service to help me navigate and trouble shoot so I wanted to make sure they get some sort of recognition for their hard work and 15/10 service with a smile. My experience is with Patty one of the groomers. I admit I was late to our appointment and unfortunately the appointment was under my husband's phone number. I was 25mins late which I 100% own up to. However when I got there, no one came to the door and there is a CLEAR SIGN with a doorbell that states to push button for schedule appointments when the store is not open. I stood there and pushed the button several times and waited. Finally another customer pried the sliding glass and I was able to get in. Then another customer was inside the grooming doors so I waited outside because my dog gets leash aggressive towards other dogs. After they were done and walked out, I walked in. I told them I was late and Patty immediately said "you're 45mins late". I told her that I am late yes, but I wasn't 45 mins late. She looked at the clock and said, "yes you are". I told her what happened and she said you can just open the sliders. I asked her how I would know that? There is a sign that says to push the button when you arrive when the store is not open. She said that button doesn't work. So I asked her how would anyone know that. And again she said well you're still 45mins late. I told her i am late but I was not 45mins late. I told her again I waited outside the door because they had another customer. She said I could have just walked in and I told her that my dog gets leash aggressive with other dogs and I wanted to wait. Maybe they should look at the store security cameras to see that I was outside for quite awhile and waited again inside. First, yes I was late. 25mins not 45. Second, it's fine to cancel the appointment BUT you don't need to be condescending and rude. Lastly, when a customer stays outside as there's another dog and another might be aggressive while on a leash, you should respect that the owner did what was best. Also, you don't need to come off aggressively when it was not warranted. I didn't realize there was a petsmart Karen. read more

If I could give zero stars I would . Such horrible customer service! I ordered cat food for a stray cat that I feed and had my husband pick up the order while I stay home with our son during the rain. My husband calls me while he's picking up the order and the young man with curly hair starts giving attitude right away and asking for ID for cat food? My husband gives him the order number and the guy is still refusing to give the food and starts complaining about getting wet, all while laughing by the way. We've never had any problems with the other location on edinger which always has great employees. I will not be returning to this PetSmart ever again. read more

What has happened to this store? For the last year has been so bad. If I didn't love Christine so much I would never come thru those doors again, and I spend 100s a month there, shit I adopted a 3 legged cat there... but I think I'm done with this last girl taking forever to get the crickets, can't figure it out, gets a dust pan and instants scraping from the bottom case she's afraid to move the ones on the crate... she handed me 12 dead out of 25.... And thought this was ok. I didn't want to rip her a new one so I just talked the front into charging me for the alive ones, cause even the front saw how bad that was. The last 2 times I went for crickets the store was empty and employees looking straight at me doing nothing but avoiding me, and no one came for almost 10 min. I'm gonna start serving myself cause your staff doesn't seem to want to do that part of the job. train your people and maybe pay them enough to care, cause half ur staff gives no fucks anymore, and it's sad I have to drive to fountain valley to get someone who gives a shit. read more

We are sick to our stomach after our dogs last grooming session. He came home with a cut on his belly and he was biting at his tail and would not stop itching and messing with it only for us to find a huge cut- we called Petsmart and they made us an appt with their vet at their expense and it was confirmed that he has a skin infection from the cut. It tears my heart in half to think that any animal would be cut like this. I e have been going to the same groomer for 2 years and there has also been an instance where he came home after a grooming session and he was messing with his ear and I finally looked in it and I had to pull a long piece of cotton out of there that they left while cleaning his ears! When we dropped him off for the last grooming session, the gal said to oh sorry I have to go on break / so our dog had to wait in a kennel for her to enjoy her lunch. The neglect and carelessness that was shown to our animal is despicable and we will never be back to a petsmart again even to buy food. It's such a shame cause we really thought they cared for our pet and it was the opposite. read more

Came here on 5/8/22 to get some flea medicine for our feral cat. We've had this feral cat for close to 10 years. Sometimes we can pet it and sometimes we can't as it's her world and not ours. We entered the store and we were immediately greeted by Liam who answered our questions and pointed us to the area of the store to get what we needed. Monica met us at that area and helped us get what we needed. Liam and Monica were awesome and very helpful. The store was well maintained and very clean, I took a few pictures that I'll post here. I bought my chameleon from here where they said they only sell male Chameleons. It turned out to be a female. Females lay eggs and require a mixture of dirt/sand box to lay them or they will die. They also gave misinformation about the heating requirements. The biggest problem is when ordering crickets through DoorDash, they will almost always short change you on the amount of crickets you get. The crickets also die off so quickly compared to Petco crickets, which are always bigger and healthier. They don't give the discount on bulk purchases, but they die off so quickly and get short changed with the quantity, you will end up losing more money and time at the end. read more

Carinna in the grooming parlor is amazing! She made an excellent first impression with both me and my Gracie when I had to bring her in to complete an ear plucking! I scheduled with her for my pups next complete grooming and she did a phenomenal job! This review is for the grooming department, specifically Brooke. She was great. Took a family member's dog in for grooming and we are all really happy with the results. She was very nice and helpful all around (I even missed my first appointment midweek due to a scheduling error on my end). We asked for a teddy bear cut and that's what we got. The dog was nervous when I dropped her off and she was very happy when I picked her up, so I know they took good care of her. Great cut, service, and availability here. Also, I did read all of the bad reviews on here. I almost didn't come here because of them. From my first experience here, I didn't find any truth to them. Again, staff (Brooke) were really genuine and nice. The cut looks great. The coconut Spaw package I picked out was nice, too. The nail grinding turned out good and her coat is so nice after whatever the treatment. Her breathe is nicer too (we do brush her teeth nightly). So, I would recommend the groomers here to anyone. read more

The people who work here are genuine people who will go out of their way to make sure you depart with not only what you came for but with a smile on your face! What great service and great people! Brogan is brilliant in just about any area of the store. Cindy is an incredible dog trainer with a huge heart too. Patty and Christine are also leaders here, people you will love crossing path with. I took my mini American Eskimo to get groomed here and they didn't listen to a single thing I said. Eskimos are super fluffy with a double coat so it takes a certain groomer to know how to cut her fur. I gave them pretty simple instructions to help. Trim her feathers and under side so that it doesn't drag on the grass. And obviously just make her look neat. My dog's fur is so choppy and uneven. Nothing looks neat and nicely sculpted. Barely even took anything off her feathers and that's what I was most concerned about so I asked them just to trim it quickly again because they were still able to touch the floor. When I was outside while they were doing that I noticed through the window that her underside was also still long (difficult to see at first because of her harness). So I poked back into the salon real quick to ask my groomer Brooke to trim that and she told me to "get out" before I could say anything. I went home to inspect her more and she has tangles around her arms even though I got included the furminator. They are clearly unexperienced, rude, and inattentive to my dog's needs. If you don't know how to cut dogs like this (Eskimo's, Pomeranian, etc) just say so!! read more

Favorite grooming salon by far! The associates went the extra mile to make sure my pup felt comfortable.. coming out to give her treats/bond with her for a few min before taking her back, and the grooming room itself was quite - only 1-2 other dogs being serviced at a time, which was great because it keeps the barking down and environment calm. The last time I took Birdie, my seven pound terrier​ mix, to a groomer,​ I left disappointed​. I know that Birdie is sometimes a bit of an unpleasant handful when strangers try to get to know her, so I figured she was too much for any groomer. But two weeks ago Birdie needed a bath desperately​, and I thought for the heck of it I'd try to get her shaved too. Maybe second times the charm. That's when I met Brooke at PetSmart. Brooke was so sweet to Birdie right out of the shoot, even though Birdie acted nervously​. I told Brooke that if she couldn't get the shave in because Birdie was being terrible, to not worry about it, I just wanted the bath. Brooke, ​with a smile on her face​ waved me goodbye. When I came back, I was blown away. Birdie was a brand new dog. She wasn't​​ the scragly stray from the pound anymore, but a summer-ready​ happy dog. Brooke had nothing bad to say about Birdie. She ​took the time to get to know her and make her feel comfortable. Her positive attitude made me feel good about the dog that sometimes makes me want to pull my hair out. Brooke wrote a sweet note in the report they give you when you're done. She brightened my day and took some strain off of both Birdie and me. I will use her as long as I live in the Huntington Beach area, and I suggest you do too! Don't miss out on the best groomer in Huntington! PetSmart Grooming is the 4th facility I've used for our little schoodle. The 1st -Dirty Dog Wash - was great but very busy. The 2nd- Sydney's- was very good but closed. The 3rd groomer had a lot of trouble with our pooch and put a muzzle on him, I'm sure he panicked. PetSmart, and Carrina especially, are wonderful. I warned her of his past frightening experience, so Carrina came out, sat on the floor and made friends with him. When it was time for grooming, he gladly went with her, and she did an excellent job. I watched the other groomers in the facility seemed equally as gentle. I cannot tell you how glad and relieved I am to have found Carrina. Thank you, thank you. read more
