I arrived at 6:50pm and when I walked in I was advised they close at 7. Didn't feel very welcomed, so I hurried with my two purchases and was in line with five minutes to spare. The only two people working the front, were assisting this one lady who had issues with a coupon or online purchases. The line to check out was getting longer and the one cashier tells the other cashier to close the door. Finally, one of the two employees goes to the other register to assist the line and asks es h person if they are paying with a card. When it's my turn to checkout, she goes back to help the other cashier with the same lady and lets people out of the store as the door is locked. The dog food bag I am carrying is heavy. I am finally assisted and as I'm leaving, the door is closed and no one is paying attention to let me out. Two people should not be helping just one person and leaving the rest of the customers waiting and carrying heavy bags of merchandise. read more

PetSmart Grooming is the 4th facility I've used for our little schoodle. The 1st -Dirty Dog Wash - was great but very busy. The 2nd- Sydney's- was very good but closed. The 3rd groomer had a lot of trouble with our pooch and put a muzzle on him, I'm sure he panicked. PetSmart, and Carrina especially, are wonderful. I warned her of his past frightening experience, so Carrina came out, sat on the floor and made friends with him. When it was time for grooming, he gladly went with her, and she did an excellent job. I watched the other groomers in the facility seemed equally as gentle. I cannot tell you how glad and relieved I am to have found Carrina. Thank you, thank you. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to become fish parents (on top of our 2 cats and 1 dog) so we did the thing and went to petsmart. Before we entered I told my bf we should just look around and get an idea of what we're looking for before we buy anything and also because, well, it's just petsmart and they aren't professionals (I know, I suck, I'm sorry.) We walk in and are kinda just checking stuff out and quickly realize we don't know squat. Thankfully, we were graced by Raquels presence and knowledge. She helped us understand what we needed and more importantly why we needed it. She knew it all! Aquarium set up, fish types and habitats, and even down to the live plants I got! Me and my man were amazed at how well she knew her stuff and how patience she was with all of our questions and indecisiveness. Yikes what a weird shopping experience. I love Petsmart, it's my go to store for shopping for my cats. I never have been to this location before, but stopped since it was on my way home. No issue with store cleanliness or availability of products. My issue was with the customer service. I grabbed the things I needed and headed to check out. I was waiting behind another customer as she checked out. In walked 3 teenagers and the cashier I think her name was Maribel. I could be wrong. Anyways she said to the 3 teens walking in, "only two allowed in the store." They were just as confused as all of us in line. The cashier said again, "only two teens allowed in the store at a time." "One of you need to wait outside." You can see the embarrassment in their face when she said that. They kinda just froze. The customer in front of me, was shocked. She said, "really? How come?" The cashier laughed and said, "because they wreck the store." I was so grossed out by this whole interaction. The teens ended up leaving. What is there to destroy in this store? The animals are all locked up or caged away... You think they are gonna grab some litter and throw it around? Open some dog treats and eat them? I have never ever heard of this rule at any Petsmart or petco or ANY STORE FOR THAT MATTER. I really hope this is not a "Petsmart" policy. I hope this is a one store thing. I am going to contact Petsmart and ask. Who ever is running this Petsmart needs a reality check. I remember always walking to Petsmart by my school after school and looking at the fish or animals and leaving. What's wrong with that? I'm so grossed out by your employee. I accompanied her today to pick up a new collar for my own poodle and it's pretty much what you would expect from a pet smart they have everything you need. The prices are fair, the service is good, and there's plenty of parking at this store. They have a dog grooming center also but I haven't tried it yet. When I asked an employee about whether they had a specific tank available, she looked at me like I was wasting her time, gave me the bare minimum answer, then when she was done helping another customer, she just walked past me without making sure I was helped. Just completed the Beginning Training course with Nicole at the Seacliff/ Goldenwest PetSmart and she is nothing short of amazing. My large Goldendoodle puppy is more than a handful and she was so patient through all of his barking. I learned a ton of ways to work with him through positive reinforcement. I just completed intermediate class with my dog Korra and Nicole was such an amazing trainer! We learned to apply our beginner tricks to more distracting environments and started practicing "heel". Despite Korra being a very vocal and high energy dog who sometimes takes a while to settle, Nicole remained calm and patient while offering additional tips to set my dog up for success. I love this store, and the reason why they probably only let two teens at a time is because it's across from the high school. And the only thing I don't like is they are too friendly when you first walk in the store and want to immediately know what you need. If you are going to train your pup, Nicole is the one you want! I brought in my Maltese pup for puppy training with her and I am so glad I did! Nicole is so passionate and knowledgeable about doggy training, and explains everything thoroughly. My pup was able to learn basic commands in a short period of time! And the staff at this store are the sweetest! My pup loves visiting the girls there, she gets so excited every time we park lol. I have a few PetSmarts closer to me, but I will only go to this one. More than that, Nicole is an amazing trainer! She is so energetic, has a ton of experience, and answered every question I threw at her (and trust me, I had many!). Today I went to PetSmart to get my dogs groomed. Normally, I have a great experience and my dogs are taken care of and happy when they leave. Not today! From the moment I showed up with my dogs, the girls were very rude and did not have any friendly customer service skills. They tried to drag the dog to the back, but if they called them by name and gave them an excited voice they would of just went willingly. Then when I picked them up, my dogs couldn't wait to jump in the car (and they hate getting in the car). They were not happy. The report basically said they both struggled today and I should take my 12 year old to the vet because she can't stand and my 8 year old had accidents. First of all, I have never had a problem at any other groomer. I will never go back to this location if my dogs need a bath or haircut. read more

Came in last Saturday (04/24) the employees here are great, they're all attentive, trustworthy, and just generally kind. Kayden was definitely a great help to me while I was there. He seemed really well educated in the care of turtles, fishes, and hermit crabs. He gave a lot of recommendations to places that had specific supplies/items I was looking for. I ended up deciding to take care of a couple of hermit crabs, and he was really helpful in helping me gather all the items I would need for that. read more

I've been bringing my Great Dane pup here since here every month since he was 4 months old to get groomed. He's almost 9 months, weighing over 100 lbs, so as you can imagine, he can be difficult to groom. But Elliot does a great job every time! My dog isn't a fan of his paws being touched but Elliot manages to get his nails trimmed! Everyone here is super friendly and very informative. And we love Elliot! There was no "curb side" pick up. Which is fine, but why advertise it if you're not doing it. But that's beside my points. When I dropped my pup off, I pointed out some dog urine that was on the floor. No big deal in itself because, well dogs. But two hours later when I picked her up it WAS STILL THERE in addition to tons of clipped hair droppings swirling around on the floor both out of the cutting area and into reception area. My flip flops got covered in loose hair. It looked like they NEVER swept up since I left two hours earlier. Now, I could over look some of this BUT the attitude on the girl that checked me in was so poor it persuaded me to yelp. In this time of Covid, cleanliness is priority one. This place was a disaster. Never will I bring my dog back here. I wish I would have snapped a pic or two because it was unbelievably dirty and unkempt. read more

This review is specifically for the grooming department and Jackelyne O. We have gone to the Costa Mesa 17th St location for 4 years and the staff there were absolutely enamored by Wally. They called him the "hugging pit." We moved back to the Fountain Valley/Huntington Beach area in February and gave the Fountain Valley Petsmart a try. They were a little too busy to be friendly and a little too small, even before COVID times. We decided to take Wally to try this Seacliff location and despite being a rescue Pit, Jackie has literally welcomed Wally with open arms (because he forces hugs on her too ) and never judged him. She's our regular and today I even witnessed from the window, for the first time, Wally just standing and smiling and hugging her the entire time she groomed him. It's awesome to know when your pet is equally as loved by someone else. The cashiers are always kind and hospitable. Huckleberry Pi, my 3-year-old Catahoula mutt (HIGH ENERGY! & STUBBORN!), and I participated in two rounds of Nicole's dog training classes. The Beginners course goes through the basic commands such as sit, stay, watch me, leave it, and a nice loose leash walk. The Intermediate course went into duration in commands, introduced distance during commands, and healed walking. Huck already had a good grasp of these commands going in so our focus in class was to learn to how to curb his unwanted behavior towards food aggression and other dogs. Our experience there was incredible! Nicole guided us through training exercises, pointed out behavioral cues, and provided insight on what we should work on and how to move forward. My experience there felt organic and each time we left the class I felt successful and motivated. Practice, consistency, and affection strengthened my bond with Huck and this class made me feel confident when introducing him to new situations. Nicole is the push and perk to getting to our goals quicker and I am very grateful for her.
