I am so surprised the rating for this place is so low! It looks like maybe that is for takeout, but my experience dining in was amazing! We fortunately live in walking distance, but somehow we just now managed to try Phò Envy this past Sunday night for dinner. We were about to order delivery from our usual Chinese takeout place, but we decided to try something different and I am so glad we did! My husband was really hungry and we had trouble deciding what to get so we ordered several dishes. We started with the Envy Platter (fried egg rolls, dumplings, and wontons). The egg rolls weren't my favorite, but the rest was great! We then ordered the Sesame Chicken with steamed rice, Shaken Beef Filet Mignon with fried rice, and the Curry Pad Thai Noodles with beef. It was a ton of food, and everything was spectacular! The sesame chicken was perfectly crisp without being greasy. The filet mignon dish was spicy and perfectly cooked, and my favorite dish, the curry noodles, was rich and amazing! Everything had so much flavor. We were really happy with our choices, and we had plenty left over to take home (the curry noodles were even better the next day). The staff was really friendly and attentive. The restaurant was really clean and cute. While we did walk, there is plenty of parking out front or in the parking garage. Overall, this place is a real winner. Yelpers failed me on this place big time. I placed a to go order and when I went to pick it up the prices were different and of course they wouldn't fix it. There was only 1 other customer there so that should have been a clue. Egg roll was dry. It was fresh and hot and had good flavor but too dry to enjoy. I got beef pho and when I got home they had put a bunch of green onions in the bowl. I didn't think to check before I left because I've never had that happen. I can't eat raw onions so I had to take it back. So when I called in I said no onions 3 times. I get there and the receipt said no onions but guess what...onions. So they brought another bowl. Glad I caught but guess what...there were huge onions on the bottom of the broth. Beef pho was bland to me so when I had them redo it I got the curry chicken pho. The broth was okay but once you put the toppings on it then it taste bland just like the beef broth. The broth is hot but the noodles and meat are so cold that when you add broth your bowl gets cold. I only live 7 minutes away so the broth was still hot. I had to microwave it to get it back hot again. By having to do that it overcooked the noodles and they got soggy and sucked up all the broth I've eaten pho at a minimum 25 times or more and I've never had a problem with temperature. I have never had to put 2 packs of soy sauce and salt in my bowl. The most I've used before is a half pack. I had to add chilli oil because it's not spicy at all and the jalapenos weren't spicy fo some reason. Oh and the chicken was dry. They forgot my lime. When I went back to pick up the chicken pho there was only 1 customer again. read more

The food was ok but service was not. The waitress brought bottled water when I asked for water. There was no one else in the restaurant. I figured this is their norm. This was a cheap generic water bottle that was not even refrigerated. Then I found out I was charged $2/bottle. When I said I didn't ask for bottled water the owner said "and you had it anyway?" I have never written a yelp review. I do, however, rely on the yelp community when choosing where to eat, shop etc We ordered from Pho Envy tonight. Upon delivery the paper wrapper that encased the pork Bahn Mi was dripping with grease. There was not a pickled veggie (or any veggie for that matter) on the grease soaked baguette The Chicken pho also arrived with no veggies (bean sprouts, cucumber, carrots, jalapeños etc) When i called the restaurant and asked for the manager i was told he was "on vacation for two weeks". Upon further quizzing i was told the only "solution" was to refund my money. Um. Ok. $15 of Pho? This food was an abomination and should never have been considered to be worth serving. Pho was good! Not like my mother's pho but you get the idea. We also got the Shaken Filet Mignon (definitely named filet mignon to make people feel like they are getting a deal for $15) and it was delicious. Plenty of onions and green peppers to supplement. The food here is good. Nothing amazing, but good. The atmosphere is a bit cold and reminds me of a retro cafeteria. The servers are good and have always been nice. This all amounts to a three star rating right? Well have you ever liked a place and then you met the owner and all of a sudden the food doesn't taste very good? Pho Envy, The food is very excellent and i have had every thing in the menu! Why, because i go there for lunch and Dinner with my Family each week! Sometimes we will go 3 days in a row! Why? Beef slices were thin but soft and not overcooked = great and MUCH better than "for lovers" ! ate this up with pleasure. I tried Pho Envy for takeout and it was pretty blah. The fresh spring rolls lacked an essential ingredient: freshness. New Vietnamese restaurant in the small office complex at the corner of Hillcrest and NW Hwy. Tight parking out front but a free parking garage is located behind and beneath the building. The space is modern and minimalist but clean and bright, big enough to handle lunch crowds with ease. Menu is mostly traditional Vietnamese dishes with a few Thai/Chinese selections thrown in. Had the vermicelli with pork (bun) and a couple of spring rolls with a thick peanut sauce. The pork was well-seasoned, seared and lean but not crispy. The fish sauce accompanying the vermicelli was a little thinner and milder than other places but still tasty. Slightly more expensive compared to other Vietnamese places around the metroplex, and good but not great food, but the location is hard to beat as you'd have to travel north of 635 to find something better. read more

I was in the area running errands for work, and needed something to eat before going back to the office. This place was right next to me so I walked over and decided to try it. I'm so glad I did! I got the Banh Mi "Korean style" with beef and kimchi. It was excellent! Even the egg rolls were delicious! The Banh mi had amazing flavors going on from the cilantro, garlic, kimchi, and everything else they put on it. It was so good I may have to stop by and pick up some more for dinner! Disclaimer. I have only had the pork bahn mi. the bahn mi was very good at a more than fair price. Plus the atmosphere and service were also above average. Terrible delivery. If you want your food in any kind of timely manner just make it yourself. Because it will take over ages for them to make your food. Then when you call about it and ask about it, you will be rudly told that its just been made and they're waiting for their driver to pick it up. So 2hr into my waite they tell me its going to be a while longer because well you know...Reasons. So at this point I'm guessing that the food is just sitting on a curb somewhere and my driver is getting head from a hooker while smoking some rocks and what not, and has likely forgotten that he had a job to do. Tried to come in for lunch on a Monday. Waited 10 minutes just to be seated. Another 20 minutes and nobody even took my drink order. Tried walking up to the counter to order. The owner caught me eye several times and gestures that he was coming to take my order. Cleaned off tables, sat other parties, and took other tables' orders who arrived after me. I ordered online through Yelp, delivered by GrubHub. It was not a great experience. I ordered the Spring Rolls with special instructions to include fish sauce in addition to the standard peanut sauce. I got neither but some sweet sauce I didn't care for. The attached restaurant receipt actually said, "No peanut sauce". An English language issue perhaps. The Chicken Curry Pho's chicken and broth were bland. Even after I added the included Sriracha sauce. I did love the fresh sprouts, basil, jalapenos, and lime wedge. Not really a restaurant issue, but I provided specific delivery instructions for the delivery driver to text me upon arrival. He called instead, from some out of state number I didn't recognize, so I didn't answer until he called a second time. Food is okay - better than some places around here - biggest problem is the service - the waiter was so not interested in serving - couldn't answer questions and never made sure the food was good or even if it came out correct. I give it 2 stars because the grilled pork was yummy! Problem was it was so little pork and so much of everything else that goes in a vermicelli bowl.
