Who would have imagined what they could turn the old Fudrucker's into. It's a fun atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great. The shrimp shumai were good, but seemed a bit overpriced. we both loved our entrees. I could eat the roti all day. We will definitely be back, as there are so many things on the menu that sound delicious.

Came here for lunch on a weekday. The entrance features bright neon signs that give a modern, downtown food hall vibe, and the interior is very spacious with plenty of seating. Our server was cheerful and friendly, and made recommendations from the lunch menu. I ordered the Nasi Lemak. While the coconut rice wasn't as fragrant as I expected, overall the dish offered great combination of flavor and texture. The curry chicken was tender and flavorful, the peanuts and fried egg added the crunch, the cucumber added refreshing contrast, and the sambal had the unique flavor. I'd definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

I had an impromptu lunch date here and it went pretty well. The interior design is so nice. The service was very quick and everybody who helped us was nice. As an appetizer I got the shrimp & pork dumplings...10/10. The dumplings were so flavorful! For my entree I got the Malaysian chicken curry with a level 2 spice. It wasn't spicy at all to me, but it still was very flavorful and even when I reheated my leftovers the next day, it was still delicious. It came with a side of roti with their curry sauce. I enjoyed the roti, but I was not a fan of their curry sauce as it's more on the sweet side instead of savory. Overall, I had a good experience here and I'd definitely come back probably for happy hour.

Very good! I see why it's Michelin star. Place is huge, so lots of room for large parties and even a room that looks like you can rent out. Food is delish! Our server was great and since it was our first time, she gave amazing recommendations. I went with my husband, cousin and his friend ordered multiple dishes for us all to share. Some of the dishes were kinda spicy, but the flavor was so good I didn't care! Would highly recommend eating here.

We ate at phat on the way back from a christmas trip. We arrived around noon and it wasnt busy The restaurant was tucked away in a very cosy spot and it is huge. It is very nice and fun inside Service was great Dishes overall was very good. Fish was delicious but not ikan bakar. It was more like sweet and sour. Tofu was good but I think they gave us the vegetarian option. Kang Kung was good too but sour. Kuey teow was good. Nasi goreng was good too. The drink was good but very small Disappointed there was no dessert . I really hoped for an ABC.

Roti Cani - the curry sucked but the roti was spot on. the roti was Flaky and Chewy. Laksa - no Bueno. Not spicy. No seafood taste. Just coconut curry flavor. Prickly pear watermelon - so good. Too good. Curry chicken was the bomb. Tender. Flavorful. No adjustment on sodium level because it's pre-made though. I used this curry for the roti. Mee goreng was so good. Meat was so Tender. Salt and basil beef was okay. Nothing special. Flat noodles were good too. Nothing special but hits the spot for routine rice noodles. Chicken and mango was whatever Scallops were eh Skewers were so good but on the expensive end of the menu compared to other items String beans good texture. Asked for less salt and they accommodated! Great customer service - they open the door and close the door and walk you to car when raining!! Clean bathroom and dining area Open kitchen concept Been here a few time and it's consistent.

Food was deliciously awesome! Sizzling Tofu, Basil Fried Rice, and Garlic Kang Kung ALL hit the spot. Nice portions... we had some welcome leftovers. Ambience and staff were great - and I can't wait to explore more dishes with friends and family!

I gotta go all the way and give them 5 stars! The food is out of this world! This was my first experience with Malaysian food, and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor! I'm literally drooling now as I write about this place. Here are the entrees we had (and I would recommend each of them): Curry Vegetable Casserole Mango Chicken Sizzling Tofu We also had some sort of mushroom appetizer, but I can't find it on their online menu. All I can tell you is that it was tasty as hell, and as addictive as crack! The ambience is very nice, and the service is top-notch. If you go, ask to be seated in the patio area - it's glassed in (and air conditioned), but you're basically sitting in the woods. It's awesome. This is a great date night place. Everything was great! They have beer, but I don't recall if they have a full bar (liquor).

Had been wanting to try this new offering for The Woodlands, knowing about the reputation of the chef/owner and location in Houston. Last minute decision and popped in on a Friday night around 7:30P, was surprised they weren't busier although it is a big space (formerly Fuddruckers). Promptly greeted and seated. Open kitchen concept with an industrial warehouse feel. Clean and minimalist. If you're not familiar with Malaysian food, no worries the menu is easily discernible by anyone. You'll be surprised by the extensive bar offerings, especially an impressive list of Bourbon. Service was friendly and attentive. Waitress was knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations. My only complaint was the size of bell jar glasses for iced tea should have been larger.........lots of trips for refills. The food came very fast, was fresh ingredients and fragrant. My wife doesn't like spicy food so they brought me their house made hot sauce that I added to my plate. Loved it! Had just enough heat with a slight sweetness. Enough of a variety of healthy food options to suit anyone's tastes. We will definitely be adding Phat to our regular rotation.

First time visiting and first time trying Malaysian food. Absolutely incredible food and service. We had shrimp dim sum, roti and curry, Haianese chicken and every bite was outstanding. The service was on point , there's a full bar and each sauce was super fresh and house made. Each item seem to bring new but comfortable flavors if your already into SE Asian flavors! Can not wait to go back

An impromptu dinner date with my husband landed us at Phat Eatery. Truth be told, this place has been on my list of places to try for a while. It certainly didn't disappoint. We took advantage of the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu, and got some delicious food. The atmosphere was awesome. We got seated with a few of the kitchen, which was cool for us. The service, especially the manager, was welcoming and friendly. Our server was a bit slow and didn't come by much to check on us, but I could tell he was overwhelmed, so I gave him grace. It's not an easy job. I'm looking forward to going back. Especially since they have happy hour until 7pm.

This was our celebratory meal to end summer. I've been wanting to come here for a while now. Plenty of parking in their lot. The ambiance is nice. There's a room with lots of windows so you can have a wooded view of the surroundings while dining. We got a waiter in training together with the trainer. Both were very nice and attentive. I saw they had a happy hour menu between 5-7 pm so I decided to capitalize on that as prices seemed a bit on the high side after looking at their menu online. We got the Phat sliders for $10 on the happy hour menu because I wanted to try the rendang but didn't want to shell $26 for it. Well I don't think I got the essence of it from the sliders. The beef was horribly overcooked. Dry, hard and thin. The bun was good but overall the slider was a bit of a disappointment. We also got the Houston Restaurant Week menu for $39. The beef roti canal was lacking in flavor. The roti was good but I can make the same thing from frozen rotis from Costco that taste just as good. The salt & pepper calamari was meh. A little soggy. And way too many onions. I mean I love onions. But it was a whole lot. Like a thick bed of onions. I wish there were more calamari instead of filling the plate up with onions. The waiter had brought out all 3 of the above dishes at the same time. He asked if we wanted the Malaysian chicken curry to come out now or later. I know why he asked that. Because some guy complained about everything coming out super fast while he was on a date there. Well it was just me and the kiddo. So I told him to bring it out mainly because I didn't want it sitting under a heat lamp drying up. Well in theory I think my strategy was good. But boy was that chicken dry. The sauce was not very flavorful too. Again, a bit of a let down. For desert we wanted the teh Tarik tres leches but apparently they sold out two days ago. Not sure why they didn't make more over the past 2 days as they said it's made from scratch. I wanted the pandan mango sticky rice then, but alas that too was sold out. I know they use mango and they use rice for some of their other dishes ... so like how could they be sold out? Sigh. Anyway the only thing left was the roti pillows. Ack. I was kinda roti'd out from the appetizer. They were ok - just kinda tasted like beignets. Someone complained about there being a fly problem. Well yes in fact we did see fly in the dining hall as well. It didn't land on our food but did zip by annoyingly several times. Overall for me it was a very mediocre meal that made up for it with good service and a nice setting. Don't know that I'd go back again but glad I visited.

My first time in Woodlands and found Phat Eatery with the top-rated Malaysian Authentic dishes that I tasted so far. Service was attentive and pleasant. Typical Malaysian restaurant with dark timber wood and natural light from the windows.

On top of that,…read morethe noodles are definitely Northern Chinese style, which consists of rich earthy broths accompanied by hand-pulled noodles and your choice of meats. Dumplings are also a must when eating this style of food. The establishment is very new as they just had their grand opening. There is a very athletic man behind a glass window in the kitchen that will be rolling the dough and forming the noodles with your very eyes. Oddly enough, this makes the noodles taste better. Again, the noodles are freshly made to order and you can see them making it too. You can tell by the mismatched size noodles in your order. The dumplings will have a thicker skin than you might be familiar with. That is because Northern-style dumplings are formed with much thicker doughs. Rest assured, this will have no impact on the rich flavors of the stuffing! The table will also have their homemade chili oil. It is not that spicy but it will greatly enhance every dish you order if you dare. Overall a positive experience here for the price. You also save a bunch of gas money not driving to Bellaire ha ah ha ha.

In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
