Visiting from Minnesota! This was my first time here. I ordered a wrap and it was fresh and tasty. The fries were not greasy and the ranch tasted home made. The music was a good volume and my server was great!

I've been to Philander's a handful of times the last few years. This past Saturday my bestie and I were in the area and needed some grub. We indulged in a few different appetizers because we just couldn't decide what sounded the best besides three different ones. Let's just say our eyes were much bigger than our appetites after all. We had the mushrooms, pretzel, and cheese curds. Mushrooms were very good. The horseradish sauce served with it was excellent.... Compliments it well. Cheese curds.., can't really go wrong. The pretzel itself was soft and tasty. The cheese sauce and mustard served with it was absolutely AWFUL! The cheese was so runny like soup broth and the mustard tasted like a mayo-ish..... definitely did not taste like a mustard. I'd pass on the dipping sauces with the pretzel. The restaurant is pretty hidden. Next to a motel and gas station. Inside is decorated country like... Up north vibe. They have pull tabs in the machine and a few slot machines. Nice size bar area. Good amount of seating indoors and outdoors. Lots of packer pride. Now for the service-- terrible. By far the worst service I've ever received here and I'm disappointed because it was my bestie's first time here. Next time, I'll have one of the burgers and may try the shrimp appetizer. Lastly, I really hope I receive a better waitress who wants to be at work.

The food was good and the staff were friendly. Kind a small menu, but well done. The bloodies looked amazing.

Awesome packer bar. Great atmosphere and giveaways during game day as well! Arrive early or seating can be a problem around kickoff.

I've had the privilege--both for work and for fun--of visiting many interesting places, including…read morerestaurants. That gives me a little insight into what makes a good restaurant, in addition to being a bit of a chef myself. My first time at Muddy Waters. A very cozy place with an impressive patio. The service was impeccable and very professional. Jessica really paid attention to every detail. Now, on to the bar. Unfortunately, I don't know the bartender's name. She made an absolutely delicious Manhattan--and I know a thing or two about Manhattans. When my lovely guest ordered a Sangria, it was almost an earthquake. I say this because in all restaurants--except in Spain and other countries that know how to make it--here in my country, they don't know how to make it. Sangria comes from the word "sangre," meaning "blood," which is red--unless you're royalty with blue blood. Just kidding! Everyone makes it with white wine and chopped fruit. In Argentina, that's called "Clericot," which comes from the English term "Claret Cup." Anyway, my congratulations to the excellent Lady bartender, who created a red sangria, her own way--delicious, refreshing, and very flavorful. Remember, sangria is drunk in Spain, mostly in places like Seville in the summer to enjoy that Andalusian sun. We ordered the Baked Brie. We thought we were going to get a dish just like all the ones we've tried at other restaurants--bought at the market and baked. This Baked Brie, however, is fantastic: custom-made and stuffed. I won't tell my readers what's inside--you'll have to go try it for yourselves. In a word: authentic, creative, and delicious. Another thing worth highlighting is the pork chop. Perfectly grilled. Very hard to find out there. Most of the time, it's dry and chewy. A suggestion, the Rack Ribs, I would cook them on the BBQ sauce. They were a little dry. I skipped dessert--I'm saving that for my next visit. See you soon...

Awesome patio facing the Mississippi River and cocktails/apps were on point for fair prices…read more Service was friendly. Old fashioned was good. Bloody Mary was only ok (and waitress did not ask for what type of beer chaser so not sure what was poured). Steak tips and spinach dip were tasty. Cheesecake at end to split with my friend was delicious but looked as if it was not homemade.
