I have never in my years left a yelp review until now. First of all, I share a love of cars with my wife and kids, and collect them as well. I'm arriving in town for a car auction and they happened to have two of the vehicles I am interested in. I currently have two Ferrari vehicles for the idiots from Phillips reading this, a 1992 512TR with 12k on it and a 1987 328 GTS which just finished a restoration. From that era I was looking to add two of the vehicles they had on their showroom floor. After breakfast and doing some shopping with my family we decided to take a look at the two cars they have. We were nicely greeted at the door by a younger salesman, and upon walking inside I see the second vehicle we were looking for. Being with my wife and kids we walked in and worked our way over to it in the showroom before being condescendingly greeted by some over tanned idiot who told me and my family to not touch the cars because they are very delicate. In short, know who is walking in your door before you belittle your customer. And I bet the picture below must bug you having my son in my car huh? Seeing as how "delicate" they are. **This is an updated review from a year ago** Took my RS7 for a check up after driving it for a year and found that there was a LOT of work to be done. Some of it from normal wear and tear but some existing from earlier years. When customers are sold the extended warranty here, they are assured peace of mind and that the warranty company, Veritas, will be hassle free and easy going. Well that wasn't the case. At first they denied just about every claim submitted by the shop (claims that should have been covered). I took the RS7 to Pacific German, a very well known and respected Audi shop. The guys at Pacific German went over my warranty and told me exactly what should be covered. I was without the car for a month making phone calls to Veritas only to be told someone will contact you the next day. There were no calls, and a majority of the work was denied. They sent an inspector with little to no knowledge of European cars to audit the claims. He was in and out in 15 minutes. This company doesn't even know what TTY (torque to yield) is. This was the worst experience ever. This is not the first time Pacific German has had to deal with Veritas. I'm told veritas is always denying claims and have been extremely unpleasant to work with in the past. Pacific German no long accepts Veritas after my situation. I had this dealership rated at 5 stars, but because of this horrible experience, it makes me question the validity of all the other plans they offer as well. It's thousands of dollars in warranty and protection plans that do not protect. They're salesman, and they are very good at it read more

I hunted all around LA and decided to go all the way down to Newport Beach to check out their inventory and I'm super happy that I did. Theresa & Yul were helpful and when I got handed the keys to test drive I was shocked that I'd get to explore the car on my own and not have a harassing sales cloud over me. They were able to answer all my questions and show original paperwork for the car and I found their policy to be true: "Only offer high-end excellent conditioned cars." I drove it off the lot that day! It's been a few weeks and I've never been happier with a purchase. I will return when I'm ready to trade up. Don't trust Phillips Automotive. They snaked me out of the deal on the Porsche 928. After we made the deal the salesman sold the car to someone else. Verbal contracts are binding in California and I have two witnesses that the deal was done. I talked to Mike Aziz at Phillips Automotive on Friday and told him I was very interested in the car and that Gregg Brown, a 928 Porsche expert, would be coming out to inspect it for me on Saturday. Mike was off for the weekend so I ended up with Chris Long as the second salesman. I sent the following to Mike Aziz. So my guys from Precision Motorwerks came out Saturday afternoon to look at the car and approved of it. Gregg Brown handed his phone to salesman Chris Long while I was still on the line and I told Chris I would take it at the asking price. I also asked him if he wanted a credit card to hold it. He said no, to email a copy of my credit card along with my license and insurance which I did about 10 minutes later. I confirmed with Chris that the deal was done and he said yes. When he handed the phone back to Gregg Brown, Gregg asked if the deal was done and also offered to give him a credit card to make sure the deal was done. Chris said there was no need. I called and sent an email to Chris Long Saturday to confirm he had everything he needed. I left him phone messages Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to call me which he disregarded. He finally called me this afternoon and said someone else had bought the car. I was incredulous and asked how that could be since we had closed the deal on Saturday. He said someone else got in 30 minutes ahead of me. My mechanics said they were standing next to the car with Chris on Saturday, said there was no one else around, and that they confirmed there was a verbal agreement to buy the car. There was no way anyone else was making offers on the car. I'd like to point out that verbal agreements in California are legally binding. But on Monday Mike Aziz told me someone walked in an hour later to buy the car. So here is what I think happened. Chris Long knew he would have to split the deal with Mike Aziz, the salesman I first contacted on Friday, and when another buyer walked in, he could get he could get the whole deal. That was despite the fact that I had already bought the car and had two witnesses. Talk about unethical business practices. I have left messages for the General Manager and he has not called me back. read more

Just purchased a vehicle from Phillips. I was an out of state buyer and they picked me up at the airport and did not blink about doing so. I test drove the vehicle and they actually had the associate drop us off at a restaurant down the street. Theresa, the sales manager, was great to work with. Whereas they do not negotiate a lot, but they do have a little room to wiggle. After driving the vehicle I pointed out a few things that could be "cleaned up" on the car and Theresa was 100% accommodating even though it was a used car. The other thing I really liked about this dealership was the fact they do not hit you with a bunch of ridiculous fees. Very reasonable and legitimate! I will certainly purchase from this dealer again and would not hesitate at all to refer a friend. Just wanted to add - I received a call the day before the vehicle was supposed to ship and the sales manager mentioned that someone noticed an oil leak. So, rather than shipping the car (was sold as-is) with the oil leak they are taking care of the repair at their expense. Are you kidding me - a used car dealer with integrity and that does the right thing - this is amazing. I am absolutely shocked and will tell everyone I know about how great of an experience this has been. 5 stars and more for Phillips. I first found the car through CarGurus and then went to the link for their website. I got my Carmax appraisal and updated Phillip's Auto and the response from the sales rep was "I took a look at the offer and not sure what's going on but CarMax gave you an unreal offer I'd run with it it's almost close to private party". I don't feel you can trust this company...they are running social media ads stating they will beat Carmax appraisals but I guess only if they like the appraisal.
