Only downside it is significantly more expensive than other coffee options in the area. Parking can get super busy during peak hours. My latest find is Philz Hot Chocolate with Oat Milk. If you are lactose sensitive then this is for you!!! The default Hot Chocolate is made with heavy cream and it's a silky comfort as my Husband puts it. Philz beats Starbucks in this department hands down. The bacon cheese egg bites are not very flavorful and this is where Starbucks is superior with theirs. The blueberry muffin, we have definitely had better was on the dry side and lacked moistness. Horrible Chai Tea Latte. I thought coffee places make good chai tea lattes?! The person taking the order was confused to what it was. We were like it's like a dirty chai tea latte without the coffee. Or the Philz fresh chai with milk and sugar. And guess what? They still made it wrong. We paid for oat milk addition and we just got a chai tea, no latte portion, no sugar and they added a couple mint leaves. It was gross, tastes strong bitter and mint leaves. Waste of money. I got the new nutty caramel nirvana iced and it was sooo good! I got it creamy and sweet - it was perfect and not overly sweet. I also got the jalapeño cheese bagel and it was phenomenal! It's similar to the bagel they have at coffee bean and since there's no coffee bean in the area, I'm so glad I can come here when I'm craving it. This location always brings back good memories. I used to go to school at De Anza College years ago and I'd always stop by Philz weekly for a pick-me-up before school. Today, I was in the area and decided to stop by for a drink. Everything still looks the same as I remember. I ordered a hot philtered soul (the house way). Loved the hazelnut brew. Creamy and sweet. A good cup for my soul, for sure :) There was no line, so I was able to order pretty quick. However, when I got there, I saw a bunch of cups ready to go already. After lunch in the area, I stopped at this Philz Coffee shop to not only escape the exceptional heat outside, but also to tackle some work. Perfect spot. I highly suggest their famous Iced Mint Mojito but also to request for the House Made way. It's worth it! It's amazingly refreshing! I regularly drink my coffee straight black with no cream, sugar, or flavoring. There are only a few exceptions like today when I will order this specialty drink. Visiting family in Cali and my cousin-in-law took me to this place after a run. Ordered a Tesora (Smooth, with caramel and vanilla notes) , same thing he was getting. I honestly was expecting something that tastes similar to Starbucks but whoa!! This is something else. You can taste the coffee beans. This is really good coffee. The service is great. Came by for coffee the other day and it was a tasty experience! Ordered ahead via the app and my drink was ready upon arrival at the scheduled time. Parking was plentiful in the strip mall. I've tried pretty much all the drinks over the years. For me I'd have to say the Ecstatic is probably my top choice. Everyone has their favorite local coffee shop and mine definitely Philz! I've been hooked ever since my first sip of their decadent, rich and chocolatey Mocha Tesora! On hot summer days, you'll always find me with an iced Mint Mojito cooling me off, and in the winter, a hot Coffee Rosé always hits the spot. It's usually iced on the menu but it's especially warm and cozy when it's hot, so just ask for it! This location doesn't have big cozy chairs for lounging or inviting tables for working, but there are a couple seats inside, but they are usually occupied. They are also usually pretty non-stop busy with mobile orders so I recommend placing your order on their app otherwise you may have to wait a bit for your coffee if you order in person. And if you call ahead or ask nicely, they do give away used coffee grounds for gardeners. The first time I asked, they said to call ahead. The second time I asked when I forgot to call ahead and the manager quickly made a bag of used coffee grounds, filters and all, for me which was so nice! read more

As somebody who loves coming to philz coffee occasionally. On this specific day I had totally forgotten that they no longer accept cash and only accept almost every other payment you could possibly think of. And unfortunately I only had cash on me. Instead of being turned away and being sad I was not able to get my coffee for the day. The cashier talked to their manager for a question and came back to the register saying my coffee is free. Quick stop here, I'll have a... well I really needed to stop and read the drink menu. I'm used to ordering my usual from the mermaid so it took a few minutes. All coffee drinks coffee is brewed to order...my three shots of espresso are also brewed to order in the usual... okay no whipped cream on that... we don't put whipped cream on our coffee drinks...oh...okay. 5* just based on customer service. I barely have Philz mainly because of the extremely long wait times. The handful of times I do, especially this time, I place it at the wrong location. Cupertino has two locations; one in 'downtown' main street plaza and the other location in the plaza off of steven's creek and de anza boulevard. While adding my items to my cart, I remember specifically selecting the de anza location and Im not sure when it happened but the location switched to the Main Street one without me noticing. I placed my order, left my house, and proceeded to go to the De Anza location. When I got there, I gave the barista immediately asked for my name and I think I knew why. It didn't hit me at the time but I didn't see any cups waiting in queue or my drink ready on the counter. I told him what my order was, showed him my phone, and he immediately told me he thinks I placed the order at the Main Street location instead but could make my drink. I got my drink within 3 minutes, tops and walked out a happy customer. Probably not ten feet away, I walked back into the store and asked this guy for his name. Shout out to Alejandro and his customer service. If I carried bills, I would've given you a tip so the least I can do is give the guy a shoutout. Thank you sir! read more

I love this Philz! The drinks and food are always good, the baristas are very friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of places to sit and it's usually pretty quiet and easy to find a seat. The parking is somewhat hard to find and the spots are small, but the parking lot is large because of the giant shopping center, so there's always a spot within walking distance. I really like the music, it isn't too loud or too quiet. The playlist is also nice if you want to study and listen to something relaxing and not too distracting. read more
