Philz was definitely busy today! I had to wait a little bit for my drink and I was already having a bad day and in a rush. When I finally got my drink and tasted it, I didn't think it was my order. It just didn't taste or look like it (I order it every day) and there was no sticker on the cup indicating that it was my drink. Because I had already waited so long, I just wanted my drink at this point. So, I took it back and told the barista it wasn't the right drink. When she poured it out she confirmed that it *was* the correct drink but she would happily make another one for me. I really appreciated that she was kind about it even though I was being a bit annoying (I've worked in food service, I get it). Shit like that is frustrating and I appreciate that she was cool about it. So thank you to the barista who remade my drink and thank you to Philz for always hiring kind workers :) read more

I love it!!!! This is really a place for you if you like coffee. The flavor of coffe...no choco heart attack frap here. If you're looking for something very sweet, maybe this isn't the place for you. That being said, onto the coffee. My first visit, the barista asked me what I usually drank and gave me comparable options. He was very knowledgeable and patient while I made my choice. A first timer here.. visiting CA. On the coffee.. Delicious coffeeeeee. Was very pleased with the aroma of the coffee. Ordered a large Tesora hot coffee with lite soy. Was sooo good ordered a full bag to take back for brewing. Pastries were good too to cap off with the coffee. The service was super nice. Workers were practicing good safety measures for cov19. YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH PHILZ due to COVID, they're doing mobile orders + pickups. every time I go, i don't usually plan on it so I don't order that far in advance. it honestly only takes like 5-10 minutes after I place my online order and I can just get out the car and grab it! :) the employees/baristas are all sooo nice. my mint mojito is always the best no matter who makes it. read more

This is my 2nd time coming to Philz coffee and I drive an hour to get here. Coffee is amazing, I have no problem with the employees, cuz like any other company they follow procedures. During my first visit I was amazed on how the mobile ordering was, easy and I love how you get updates on how long it's gonna take for your order and it gives you the name of the employee who is making it. I was attempting to order 5 drinks the mobile system wouldn't allow it. The employee informed me I needed to put two separate orders in. Which I did, I didn't mind putting two orders in, 2 separate transactions BUT I was put down at the bottom list there was a long line. The wait was long, it should give you the option to order with an employee so they could push FULL order through OR updating the Mobile app to allow 5 orders or more. read more

I wasn't greeted when entering which is fine but there was no help as to what the protocol was for picking up drinks. The girl working was pretty rude as well. Excited to have a Philz coffee so close to me. Unfortunately there are already a few downsides. This place is tiny unless there's hidden seating in the back. The barista who helped us was super bubbly and kind until my friend wanted her drink sweeter and she also didn't shout out our order so we had no clue our coffee was ready. She was condescending but with a smile which was quite disturbing. My friend had never been to a Philz so she asked for her drink to be lightly sweet. For those who don't know Philz baristas always ask how your drink is and to let them know if you need them to fix it. My friend felt her drink could be a bit sweeter. With a slightly forced smile she tells my friend as she gives the drink back in a condescending tone to tell them to make her drink sweet the next time she comes so she doesn't waste anyone's time. My mind was blown! If it was my first time I wouldn't be returning after that, lucky for Philz I love the rose coffee but I think they definitely lost my friend as a customer. I've seen some complaints about parking which can be rough but I hear they have complimentary valet, I'm not sure what time frame it's for though. read more

I decided to stop by here after my hair appointment next door, the girl at the front was the sweetest and had the brightest energy I wish I got her name. She was a little shorter with super light brown hair! I was waiting a while to pay for my order and they ended up just giving it to me on the house for waiting. The best philz location! The staff is great! The drinks are always bomb and on time. It's also very dangerously located near some good restaurants. Il tramezzino is right down the block so is Susie cakes and they have a sweet greens right next door, it's perfection. I am a coffee addict. Whether it's Starbucks, Philz, Nespresso, or Folgers, I gotta have my coffee, with lots of cream and sugar. While I am quite open to different coffee shops, I have other friends who are snobby and judge me whenever I add cream/sugar to my coffee. They always make fun of me when they see me with a Starbucks Frap. However, I recently discovered that I really enjoy Philz' Mint Mojitos, and my coffee snob friends like it, too, so they cannot judge me for drinking it. This is now my go-to drink, when I know I am going to hang out with my coffee snob friends. This is the one drink that I can enjoy without my friends' judgement. Thanks Philz! read more

Philz has become a favorite for myself and coworkers. Even during the pandemic, we would meet up at Philz for a "quick" coffee break. Thankful for the Studio City location, as it is more convenient than driving out to Glendale. Plus there is free parking in the back (which I didn't discover until maybe my 4th or 5th visit here!). The staff is super friendly, and I love that you can taste the coffee and they will make adjustments if you need (although I haven't tried that during the pandemic as my orders are always spot on). I definitely recommend ordering through the app before you leave home, as they do make their drinks to-order, and pour over takes much longer to make than other coffee methods. I'm obsessed with the Iced Mint Mojito, and my partner loves the chai latte. If you order through the app, the different options (creaminess, milk pref, sugar levels) are super easy to walk through, and it gets saved for easy ordering during your next visit. read more

The staff was friendly and the coffee was okay but it certainly is not worth the cost. $3.60 for a small, $4.60 for a medium, and $5.60 for large.
