But the price for the size just isn't worth it. It came out to $10 per drink after tax, making it one of the most expensive coffees on Ventura Boulevard. Worth noting, their matcha powder is actually sourced from Kettl. We've been to the actual Kettl cafe in East Hollywood and their matcha lattes were cheaper than what Lynx is charging here, even using the same matcha. That says a lot about the markup. You can drive down to Rok Cafe, Yala Cafe, or plenty of other cafes on the same block and get a comparable, if not better, coffee for a significantly better price. On top of that, the cup was about 90% ice, so the drink gets watered down fast, even before you're done with it. Overall just not happy with the value here. 2/5. Most places don't quite hit that invisible bench mark I've set inside my head. Well, the first sip of my dry (extra foamy) cappuccino from Saint Coffee shop stopped me in my tracks and briefly took me back to Florence. The sip was extra foamy and the cappuccino soft in flavor. I had to go back into the shop and discover who made it. Laney was the barista and let me tell you... Laney makes a wonderful cappuccino!

A friend and I came in at lunchtime intending to order lunch and coffee, but we had to leave without ordering because there was nowhere to sit. About ten of the available tables were each occupied by a single person working on a computer. I understand that cafés can be comfortable places to work, but in such a small space, it would be helpful if Saint placed some limits on laptop use during busy meal hours. Customers coming in to enjoy lunch or coffee together should also have a reasonable chance of finding a table. I truly hope they address this, because I would like to keep supporting this lovely neighborhood café.

Small and intimate, well decorated, has wifi. Not a ton of tables so I'm not sure I'd post up and work here, but certainly nice for a moment to enjoy your drink. Parking situation: free lot! I thought that they would also have some breakfast items like egg, bacon, sausage, cheese etc..they didn't. They only had plain bagel and Cream Cheese. My Latte tasted very good, on the flip side the Croissant wasn't as warm and fresh as I wanted for it to be. I asked the ladies behind the counter to warm it up again. The muffin was very fresh and delicious. Lauren handed me the Latte and my goodies. I don't want to dock a star for the Croissant, but it could have been a lot more fresh. Place was clean, with one gender neutral restroom, inside and outside seating, and the price was right for the 3 items that I got. $14.00 in total plus my tip of $2.00. Street parking only, woman owned, beautiful art work on their walls by famous artists, merchandise for sale, and nice music from the 80's playing overhead. The coffee can be bitter, and sometimes you order a vanilla latte and can barely taste any vanilla. But Cara Vana gets it right. Their Horchata Iced Latte is absolutely delicious! I always get iced coffee, and this one has quickly become a favorite. It is definitely on the sweeter side, which is exactly how I like my coffee, but they have no problem modifying the sweetness if you prefer it less sweet. The horchata flavor is actually distinct and tastes SO good with the coffee. It doesn't just get lost in the espresso. The shop itself is also really cute, with a modern Latino flair that gives it a great atmosphere. And of course, I love supporting Latino-owned businesses! The staff are always so kind and welcoming, too, which makes the experience even better. And I have to mention the green burrito and the salsa they serve with it. Both are a MUST try! The barista was playing games on his phone while I was speaking to him, and I could clearly see that he was still on his phone because of the way he was positioned. I was already frustrated by the lack of attention, but things got worse after I finished ordering. After I tapped my card, I was told that there had been a mistake and that I had only been charged 9 cents, so I needed to come back and pay again. Mistakes happen, and I would have completely understood if he had simply apologized and handled the situation professionally. Instead, he continued playing on his phone while dealing with me. The entire interaction came across as incredibly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Customer service should be the bare minimum, especially when someone is taking the time to come into your establishment and spend their money. Unfortunately, this experience was enough to make me realize that this would be my first and last visit. There are plenty of coffee shops where customers can get good coffee and basic courtesy.
