I especially love that we're encouraged to taste it to ensure it is perfect before leaving. I do have to minus a star due to the only sugar free sweetener packets they carry ("stevia in the raw") is one that contains "dextrose" a type of sugar, so it isn't sugar free at all. I'm all for healthier sweeteners and hope they will switch these out with actual sugar free ones to provide to diabetics/people who wish to avoid/eat less sugar. |[ w h a t I g e t ]| I usually get the Philharmonic (under the medium blends section) with a splash of cream and add my own sweetener and cinnamon on top. Love Philz. A SoCal coffee staple and I was stoked when they opened a location in Studio City. The interior is a rustic industrial vibe with lots of wood, exposed concrete, and metal. It still feels cozy, though. The staff are always super nice and I feel like the baristas genuinely love what they do. My go-to order is either an iced or hot Philtered Soul. I love their coffee here and their menu does a great job at describing all of the flavor profiles so you can pick your perfect drink. You also have the ability to control your sweetness level and type, as well as your dairy/non-dairy milk/creamer option. When they call your name, I've had the experience across many Philz locations that the baristas will ask you to taste the drink and see if it's to your liking. I love their quality control and their desire to get it perfect for you. There are valets around, but street parking is your best bet. That said, it gets really busy around this area during the day, so hopefully you get lucky and find a spot right away. For bad customer service! You have found it! Here is the best place for that! Found this location closest where I had to be and figured why not! Philz is my favorite coffee and I usually travel to get Philz but I would rather go further than this location to get a better experience. On Yelp it says they close at 5:30 on Saturdays and on google it says they close at 7 on Saturday as well. We got there at 4:55 and we were not served because according to their barista, they close at 5!!! The barista was very rude. We had explained that we came from far away specifically for Philz and he refused and basically told us to leave. there were still two people sitting there and other baristas were also still making coffee. I will never step a foot in this Philz location. The staff here definitely need some training for customer service avoid! read more

What a weird experience here. I've been to other locations and have had a great experience but it was all strange vibes here. No complaints about my coffee or the pumpkin muffin that I had though. Seating is plenty indoors and out. 2 all gender bathrooms that are relatively clean. Got some studying done (highly recommend noise cancelling headphones, because I was right next to the speaker). Drink reviews: Mocha Tesora - this impressed me so much. Very clean tasting, freshly made it tasted like dates. No chalky cacao taste that you'd expect from a mocha. So pleasant and gives you a nice caffeine rush. Mint Mojito - Good mint flavor that tastes plant derived instead of with extract. Same thing with clean tasting pourover. Only thing is you may want to ask for no mint sprigs, because drinking out of the normal cap can land you a mouthful of it Rose - Solid rose flavor but not overpowering. Definitely tasted coffee. Had "the house way" - I believe that's medium creamer and sweet. It was good! Philharmonic - of every drink that's claimed hazelnut taste, this has to be the best. Especially with oatmilk, the nuttiness is very apparent. Sweet or not, this drink is solid Honey haze - while I do enjoy this, I find it to have less interesting flavor than the others. I usually don't reach for it, but I'll still order it because it's good. Typically I choose medium/sweet for sweetness level with honey, because in my mind honey makes it sweeter than anything else. Still not sure if it's all in my head. Philz makes it hard for me to go to any other place for coffee if there's a location nearby. I've even forwent my espresso tendencies for a promising pour over. Philz is always a loud, happy place! One of the first things you'll notice is that the staff is culturally diverse and smiling! If you didn't know, what makes Philz different is that your coffee is truly custom-made to order. Each cup has beans ground per order and poured over per cup. If you love the Iced Mint Mojito as I do- you'll notice your barista hand twisting off mint sprigs just for you! I also adore their Iced Coffee Rosé...Rosé all day y'all! Baked goods we sampled were all tasty...avocado toast, apricot/nut bar, cinnamon mini muffin, blueberry donut... This location has great seating options with high top counter and low seating with TONS of electrical plugs for your tech needs. There are two gender-neutral restrooms with a shared sink area.
