Really bright and open coffee shop. It was packed in here on a weekday afternoon with folks working on laptops etc. I like that you stand at the bar and wait for your drinks. It makes it really easy to chat with the baristas and it's very roomy. A lot of their drink offerings are on the sweet side, which isn't my thing. I was looking for a cold brew type of drink and saw the oatmeal cookie. It was just what I was looking for! Cold Brew with a fun twist and not the explosion of sugar. I loved the cinnamon! I would come back here for a quick coffee or maybe if I had to take a meeting. It's a nice spot!
Good coffee and good vibes here. Spacious and clean with music playing in the background. Service is always good and friendly by their staff. Coffee is bold, sweet, and creamy just the way I like my coffee. They always make it fresh as soon as customers order their drinks. I think that is why I like my coffee here. It is freshly made! Philz is one of my favorite coffee shops and I always crave for it. My favorite is Philtered Soul with creamy cream- it has nutty flavors from coffee beans with hazelnut artificial flavoring added. One cup of Philz to make my day smooth!
I had a good experience here. I've only briefly been to another Philz location. Came here late afternoon for a pick-me-up and to get some work done, and their coffee definitely got the job done. Staff was kind and super helpful, I wasn't sure what I wanted off the menu so I just told her what type of flavors I usually like and she just made one just like that, it was delicious! Good environment to get laptop work done too and they are open until 7:30 which is great. The only thing is parking is inconvenient, street parking was very hard to find to I ended up having to pay to park in the valet parking behind the cafe.
TLDR: Ordered: Iced Mint Mojito 5/5 I don't know what they put in this drink but oh my god it is delicious. Warning: if you don't like mint in any capacity then don't go for it. Its not that its aggressively mint forward but its obviously there so keep that in mind. Otherwise, its almost hard to describe what it is. Its like if a mocha was a cold brew?? There are nodes of chocolate?? I'm not a coffee connoisseur to figure out how they made this be so good but asking for sweet and creamy (also used oat milk instead) made it just the perfect amount of sweetness. I fear I want no other coffee drink now if not this. The place is very cute and spacious. the staff were wonderful. More seating options inside than outside. This is prime studio city so expect to not find a parking spot and if you do it's either metered/2hr parking. It'd be a problem if i lived closer because I'd definitely go back
I am obsessed with Philz coffee! I love coming here or the Calabasas one. Now that I've been going to both locations, I can say that this one is less convenient for the street parking situation and how crowded it is inside. If you want to do work here good luck! Because both weekends and weekdays it's packed! So that's why the 4 stars. Other than that, staff is nice and welcoming and so accommodating with your drink!
a great Philz location! I've been here a few times and every time the customer service has been really great! The drinks are consistent and made with care by the baristas. My go to is an Iced Honey Haze and it hits every time! There is indoor and outdoor seating if you want to hang out at the cafe. This past time the barista taking our order gave my sister great recommendations on what drink to get based on her preferences and we really appreciated their attention to making her experience great vs. just moving through customers. It's those extra few seconds that just really make a difference in your experience sometimes! Attention to detail here is top notch! The only thing I dislike about this location is the stress of parking since the area is always so busy. There is a lot of parking around so you can find something but it can be the more complicated part of stopping by (especially during rush hour or on the weekends).
Philz coffee is my go-to staple for my morning or afternoon cup of coffee. Their specialty blends always hit the spot. My favorite is a split between the Mint Mojito or the Mocha Tesora. Do yourself a favor, put the Starbucks beverage down, and head to your local Philz today to enjoy authentic, robust, and delicious coffee again.
First timer here and I'd like to say the customer service was good plus the space was very clean. Very spacious to have coffee dates or get some work done. I tried the iced coffee rose, I'd give it 8/10. I prefer sweeter drinks personally so maybe I'll try their banana one next time. It definitely had more of earthy tones in the coffee but I didn't mind it.
Back again to try their seasonal Much Bliss thanks to my fellow elite, Nevin. I had it made with Ether, a dark roast with hints of cherry & cocoa. Just can't do medium or light blends. Lol It's very good but I took off a star for it not being very hot. In fact it was lukewarm and not filled to the top! If it weren't raining so darn hard I would go back and wait another 15 mins to have her make it over. For $6.30 plus tip it should have been filled to the rim and hot. Just sayin. A little disappointed:(
I was so excited to pick up my TooGoodToGo order today, I was looking forward to enjoying those delicious pastries I got the last time but sadly when I arrived, there was nothing left. While that's actually good for the store, that means there was nothing left to throw away and nothing was wasted. However for me on the other hand, it meant that my order was cancelled and there was nothing left for me to purchase. They saw I was so bummed about it but I didn't want to make a fuss because after all she did refund my order. Then something amazing happened, as I was leaving the store and telling them I would try again another day - Helisa told Matt, the nice gentleman that was helping me, to offer me a coffee but I am not a coffee drinker. She then came from behind the counter (because the store was closing and she was cleaning up) and asked if there was anything else I might want and at that moment I remembered that I really enjoyed the everything bagel and guess what?? She just so happened to have some that were set to be sold the next day! but she gave me a small bag and then asked if I liked tea and tea is my favorite so she made me one with fresh mint sprigs! Boy was I happy camper! Every time I come here, I have a great experience because they have great customer service. Even after a long day, these people are still kind and thoughtful and courteous to all their customers. Even as I walked out, another employee held the door open for me and wished me a good night. Kudos to a great staff! I WILL be back soon! Happy Holidays!
A light cream light sweet Philtered Soul for a weekday afternoon pick me up? Yes! The drink was the perfect amount of sweet and bold and hot enough to double-cup to keep your hands warm on cold day. Parking here is plentiful, with meters closeby. If you don't mind the walk across the street or from the residential streets, though, then it's free! The interior was well decorated for the holidays and also fairly lit with a relaxing vibe. Like most Philz Coffee locations, the background music is on the slightly louder side, so make sure to bring a good pair of headphones if your intent is to work. The staff? The best part Not sure if I avoided the craziness, but here were no lines, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming - even checked that my drink was perfect from when I picked it up.
Anytime I am in the mood for iced coffee Philz is the place to go!!! Super convenient due to the mobile app and super refreshing. Anywhere I travel where there is a Philz, it is a must. I am truly an addict of their Iced Oat Mint Mojito. When the Chicago relatives made a surprise visit with the cousins to Universal Studios, I knew there was a new Philz location in Studio City. To begin, Philz hands down has one of the BEST mobile ordering apps. The pre-order process is easy to use, locations are easy to search with Apple Maps/Waze/Google Maps as an option, and Apple Pay is an option for checking out. The real time order process is stellar with it even mentioning which barista is preparing your goodies. This Studio City Philz has the quickest turn around. Usually I need to place my order 30-45 minutes ahead of time (while often sitting in traffic) for the Hollywood or Glendale locations. Here, it was only 10 minutes from order to pick-up. Score! Of course, I was "that person" who forgot their mask at home *eye roll*. I wore my partner's mask and asked if they happened to have any disposable face masks they could spare. They didn't flinch and handed me one. I was ever so thankful and used it the entire day! They also had two clean yet silly (in a good way) restrooms available for customers. I found myself "LOLing" at their POP ART tiles in the bathroom. Particularly the voyeur taking a picture of you while you're on the John... I have been coming to Philz for awhile now. I been getting personal warm service from Halissa. She is super sweet and always welcoming us with beautiful smile. She remembers our orders. One days my GF didn't feel well to drink Coffee she recommended the wellness shot and that really helped. This what I call personalized service! She read the room and was able to make us happy. I am not a coffee person. Or a tea person. I do like hot chocolate, though, and I have heard that Philz makes the best coffee from lots of friends! I went to this location in particular with some friends who were craving coffee, they enjoyed their drinks, but the whole process was a bit frustrating. First of all, this whole area has terrible parking, but there's not much you can do about that, I guess. Second, when we walked up, absolutely all of the tables were filled- not with someone getting a cup and a chat with a friend, but all people with laptops and headphones in. I get that they want a place to work, but man, it was off putting that we couldn't sit anywhere to enjoy a local coffee place. When we came in, the line was right in the middle of the store, so we went down through that, but then we had to go to the counter, order the coffee on one end, go pay on the other end, then come back and wait in the middle of the bar for them to call our orders? The logistics of this setup were terrible, and the service was so slow! Even if I liked coffee (I got a hot chocolate, which is sort of off menu!), I would hesitate before returning here. read more

Philz Coffee is a cafe that is atypical- there is a lot more personalization that can happen with your drink because of their system. You choose the roast blend, milk option, sweetness, etc and can ask for adjustments if the drink still isn't to your liking. Another thing that is different is that they don't do any espresso-based drinks, and instead specialized in pour-over coffee. So a lot of the usual drinks found at other cafés aren't found here. For example, I came in wanting a latte, which they don't explicitly make. Luckily, the baristas are really talented and accommodating, so they were able to make a latte-like drink as an alternative. The drinks are pretty cheap as well, for the level of personalization that comes with each cup. A small Jacob's with soy milk, no sugar, was only $3.60 before tip. Pretty dang cheap for Los Angeles coffee. Additionally, this specific location is really great for getting work done or meeting up with folx. There is plenty of seating at both 2-person tables, high bar seats, and a communal table. They also offer free wifi and a few outlets. One thing is that it can be quite noisy in here since it is so large and popular, plus the background music that they play can be a bit distracting if you really need to concentrate. read more

My friend ordered the iced rose drink and that was very good but much more sweet than mine. I'm surprised I didn't get hot coffee considering that's my go to but I was very pleased. I love their coffee...but, I will NEVER order their food again. I ordered a green chilie burrito for breakfast and my burrito was double tortilla and barely any ingredients. I am unable to eat tortillas and am left with barely any substance for breakfast. This burrito is $8 on door dash and it is such a racket. DO NOT BUY. read more

drove by MANY times and each time, i think to myself, "i want to try their coffee." well, today was it! i will stop this nonsense and i will drive around the block to park and get me an iced coffee! i came in and it had a cool urban vibe. i had looked at the menu and couldn't decide which to get. the barista/cashier gave me a nice run down of their menu, now i am more indecisive, Lol. i told him that i want a cold drink, but nothing too sweet. he recommended tesora and mentioned that drinks are pour over which makes it more rich and bold. see you later, philz. read more

Just the other day, I was passing by this Philz so I asked if do any birthday rewards. A kind man by the name of Nick mentioned that they didn't. I still chose to go in cause I was craving a Mint Mojito and I was going to see a friend so I might as well get her one too. Upon arriving a really kind woman greeted me, who I told jokingly had mentioned was my birthday recently but since I was working the voting polls I couldn't come in the day off. She was also a fellow Scorpio and we laughed about that. She thanked me for my service and prepared my drinks! The drinks were deliciously creamy and really what I needed to start my day! Nothing much to say. It's just really good coffee. Tastes freshly brewed. I've been getting the same order. A large iced Philtered Soul with creamy vanilla soy and sweet sugar. It never disappoints, always a good cup of coffee. One thing I really like is the place has an app. I suggest ordering through the app to save some time. Employees really nice. Philz knocked it out of the park with service and delivery. I made the rookie mistake of ordering at the register first. Instead of sending me to the barista line, they politely took my order. Note to self: I have to fall in line and order from the barista first then pay at the register. Before paying, you tell the barista your order and preferences. When they are finished completing your bevererage, they will ask you to taste your beverage so they can make adjustments before paying -- totally different coffee experience. The tip you give the team seems more well deserved flipping the service norm. They also sell vegan Blue Star Donuts to pair with your coffee. There's complimentary valet parking at the back or try your luck at the meters in front. read more

Anytime I want a solid cup of coffee I hit up Philz. The new location is better than bacon or kale, a little short on indoor seating, they solved the parking challenges with complimentary valet parking in the back, the staff is friendly, and I'll be definitely be coming back to try their pastries. P.S. If you're new to Philz, the ordering process is different. Here's how the cookie crumbles. The line leads to a bar with multiple stations, when one opens up they'll ask for the next person. Each station is dedicated to an individual drink process. Once the drink has been ordered simply walk to down to the register. Alright, I need to run. If you check it out, let me know! read more
