Staff was very friendly and fast. Pretty quiet environment with people working on their laptops and calm music playing I ordered the pandan coffee less sweet. It truly was less sweet. I really tasted the coffee element rather than having it as a sweet treat, so I'd say stick to regular sugar if you want something sweet. The pandan flavor wasn't very heavy (possibly due to the less sugar) but was still enjoyable, and the coffee wasn't overwhelming. I'd say the coffee isn't as strong as some other places, which could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. It gave me the energy that I needed for the day without having me jittery or bouncing off the walls Overall, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Very good coffee and flavors and I would definitely come back to try more drinks. I definitely recommend this place
I was stoked to find a nearby coffee shop with corn latte! The shop itself very cute & aesthetic. Their menu has unique Asian flavors both coffee & matcha. Pandan, ube, corn, banana, pina colada, etc flavors. It sounded very promising. We had the corn latte and banana matcha. The flavor for banana and corn was spot on, tasted very true to the fruit/vegetable itself. However, the coffee and matcha flavor and strength was lacking. I didn't get my daily caffeine dose and had to drink an at home coffee later to get my energy. While the drinks had flavor they weren't as creamy and strong in the caffeine. We got less sweet which was a good call bc it was still sweet.
After trying the Campbell location, I wanted to check out this one. It is much smaller, bust still has plenty of seating. The menu doesn't offer the flights, but I only came for one thing and one thing only. BANANA MATCHA OAT MILK LATTE, duh. It was pretty good, love the fresh banana and creamy oat milk, but considering I had just had one from the Campbell location the day before, it didn't taste exactly the same. I preferred Campbell's. My partner ordered the Phin coffee and he enjoyed it, it does take a minute though. He also liked the banana matcha latte with regular milk. Anyway, service was quick and friendly. There was an accidental extra charge on our order and they corrected it. No pet friendly seating outside.
I was SO EXCITED when I heard Phin Cafe opened close by. Had to stop by and try their drinks and ended up going back again to try their Bahn Mi and Pandan Waffle as well. First time we went we got various coffee drinks like the Pandan, Nutella Banana, Egg... what's nice is you can substitute the milk with oat milk for those of us who are a bit lactose intolerant. All the drinks were delicious and not too sweet. I'm so glad I got the LARGE Nutella Banana Coffee drink. What an amazing delicious combo!! We also got their Pork and Pate Chaud and their Mushroom Chaud. Both were delicious. They have different Chaud offerings depending on the day so we were fortunate to have different choices. Later in the week - hubby and I went back to try their Bahn Mi, pandan waffle and their Tropical Zest drink. Their Pandan Waffle - the BEST every - even better than the ones I would get in Viet Town so definitely coming here for my pandan waffle cravings. It was HUGE, fluffy and had the perfect pandan flavor with it not being too sweet. And their Tropical Zest was refreshing and next time I'm getting a large!! The disappointment for me was the Bahn Mi. We got the pork and pate bahn mi with extra veggies that I paid 50 cents more for. I guess I'm used to shredded pickled veggies and they do huge cucumber bites with chunks of carrots? Not sure where the "extra" was? The bread has a weird texture on the outside crust - and the pate was meh. Definitely not something we will order again. Though they were super nice and cut it in half and wrapped each half individually which was nice given hubby and I were sharing everything! I am definitely trying more of their drinks and their pandan waffle is our must for sure!!
Love this take on matcha. I normally get the egg matcha which tastes like condensed milk mixed with egg yolk on top of a matcha latte (I don't recommend it if you have a sensitive stomach). I also stick to their regular sweetness level. Weekday mornings are pretty empty but the weekends can get busy. The employees are friendly and drinks are made fairly quick. There are at least 5 tables inside to hangout at.
I absolutely loved the Egg Coffee here. The topping is incredible--thick, rich, and addictive (like next-level whipped cream). A quick tip: I ordered 50% sweetness and it was still quite sugary, so I'd highly recommend dialing it down to 25% next time. The Matcha Banana was decent, but the matcha didn't taste like ceremonial grade, so I probably wouldn't order it again. Love this new location! This Phin Cafe location has similar dark-wood and foresty aesthetics compared to its original location, and they both provide a cozy space for working, studying, or catching up with family and friends. Nutella Banana Coffee: The drink was too rich and heavy for my taste, but I appreciated the blend of the banana with the chocolate-hazelnut that made a smooth, milkshake-light sweetness. The coffee was able to help detract slightly away from the heavy mix. Pandan Coffee: I enjoyed this drink more due to its fragrant and strong pandan aroma that goes well with Vietnamese-style coffee. The creamy and bold taste gave me a strong start to my day that nearly kept me up late into the night. The drink is also not too sugary!
I went here upon recommendation from my husband after a meal in the same plaza. My husband recommended the egg creme topping, so this is what I went with: a small hot coffee with egg creme topping. The texture is super thick. Like goop going down your throat, and thick cream that will clog your blood vessels. I tried stirring for a long time and even asked if they can remove the cream and add more coffee to even it out. But it was still a clunk of sweet cream goop than coffee. I tried my husband's iced version, and it was fine. So I would maybe advise on the iced version and steer away from the hot. They were nice and tried to be accommodating, but I think they have to go back to the drawing board with this one. Ambiance is casual for you to hang out w friends or study/work quietly.
Pandan waffle came warm and had a nice chew while being crisp! I recommend eating it warm and right away. The egg cream was thick and I recommend less sweet. The inside is very cozy with several small tables for sitting; the table was wobbly but other than that it was a great spot to hang out! Lots of parking in the plaza and other food places nearby.
I got to try lavender coffee, one of the spring series drink. Its a perfect balance of bold and delicate, i love how rich the coffee is in contrast of the soft floral note from the lavender (they had flower bits in the drink as well!) Highly recommend to try out this drink! I also love the vibe of this location, i could be here for hours for a study section, service is warm and personal as well. Totally would come back for the experience
Such a great new spot to study, work, or catch up with friends! The café is spacious, cozy, and easy to find -- plus there's plenty of parking. They serve some amazing Vietnamese-style specialty drinks -- from creamy egg coffee to fragrant pandan and ube lattes, and even salted coffee for something unique. It was late afternoon, so we opted for something fun and unique such as the sesame rose Matcha (7/10) and a corn latte (7/10). They were both adjusted to half sweet and it was perfect for us! I think the corn latte would have been even better with some kind of a cold foam on top. There's also a small menu of bánh mì sandwiches and snacks, perfect if you're planning to stay a while. Definitely a hidden gem for coffee lovers and students alike -- especially with their seasonal drinks rolling out now!
I can't believe it took me this long to discover this place when it's so close to where I live--right by my childhood Safeway! As of today, Phin has officially become my new go-to spot for Vietnamese coffee. Their traditional Vietnamese iced milk coffee is SO good--rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. And speaking of balance, I absolutely love that you can customize the sweetness level. The space itself is beautiful: super duper clean, tidy, and very well decorated. It feels cozy and it's such a nice place to sit and enjoy your drink. I wasn't able to hang out (took my drink to-go) but I plan to visit again and enjoy the sandwiches and the drip coffee made with the phin filter, as it should be. You can tell they really care about the details and quality. The people working there are also sweet and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. If you haven't tried Phin yet, you're missing out!

Great menu options. Enjoyed the flavor of the coffee. It's strong and well made. Due to limited seating could not enjoy the drip option for the coffee and had to go with the to go option. The banh mi is average though - it lacks the bbq flavor plus the quantity of the stuffing is less, so I tasted more bread than filling. Service was super quick and interior is nice. Plenty of parking in the lot. read more
Cute coffee shop with good ambience for a coffee date or studies. They have outlets at every seats to charge your devices and free wifi. Make sure to keep the receipts if you're gonna stay there, it has wifi passwords and bathroom code. However, as much as I enjoyed the place, I don't think their drinks are good. The coffee was too bitter but the sweetener was way too sweet and somehow they couldn't blend in very well, so you're stuck with either bitter sip or a sweet one. I tried their durian coffee and ube coffee, they both have that problem. read more
Came here with some friends Sunday morning to try their egg creme coffee. I got the matcha egg cream latte (cold) while my friends got the the regular egg creme coffee (cold) and the Ube coffee (hot). I got no sugar added as I expected the egg creme to be super sweet but it wasn't! Luckily I'm a matcha connesseur and could handle the bitterness of real matcha. I would definitely recommend adding in some sugar as they use real matcha powder. But I have to say, even after mixing the egg creme real well into my matcha latte, it was just mid. I appreciate the real ingredients but it wasn't the Vietnamese egg creme I was expecting. My friend thought the egg creme coffee was just mid, and so did my friend with the hot ube coffee. I thought ube coffee was better than what I had and I think part of that is because the heat helped with mixing the egg creme in. The banh mi was not that great. One of my friends couldn't finish it and the other thought it was nothing special. The decor and ambience was nice, and the service was really good. We came from SF for the B2G1 free offer and to enter the giveaway but we all agreed we wouldn't go out of our way to here again. They had samples of the silk coffee that I liked but I would pass on their egg creme and go elsewhere. read more
Phin Cafe is a new Vietnamese coffee shop in Cupertino, and is a welcome addition to the coffee scene in the city. This cafe is located near Safeway and parking is easy to find. The cafe has gotten quite popular recently so there might be a wait for your order. The cafe has a calm ambiance and the staff is so nice. I tried the Pandan Matcha as well as the Pandan Coffee. Both the drinks consists of their matcha/coffee with a generous amount of strong Pandan cream on top. Out of the two, I prefer the Pandan Coffee as the coffee synergies well with the cream (also the matcha makes the drink taste a little too grassy) Both drinks are refreshing thanks to the Pandan cream's unique vanilla grassy taste. After two visits, I am already hooked in to Phin Cafe and I know that I'll be coming back soon for another boost! read more

Went on a Monday during Soft Opening. Service was A+. She went into detail about how I'd like my order without me asking, really felt like they wanted to ensure I got my order just how I'd like it. The service was very thoughtful and patient. Order: 2 Iced Milk Coffee (viet iced coffee) $6 each Combo Banh Mi $8.5 Grilled Pork Banh Mi $8.5 Pandan Waffle $5.5 $35 after 20% off soft opening special until next week. One of the iced coffees was lighter than the other, and the espresso tasted sour for both. Not sure if the espresso was sitting or for some other reason. The 7leaves on Wolfe makes it pretty good. The sandwiches were fine, the grilled pork is more thick cut and not the flavor we were expecting, but okay. The cold cuts combo was good, thinner cuts than I'm used to, but was fine. Waffle - not chewy as I've had it at other places, but still good, crispy. I enjoyed it, would order again. I live down the street, so I'm still excited they're here. Hopefully they get to work out all the kinks during the soft opening. I'm going to hit it up again and try their speciality drinks, give it another shot after grand opening before taking friends here when they visit me. read more
Just tried this new Vietnamese cafe that opener up nearby. They are in soft open mode with a 20% discount for now. Have a unique variety of coffees that u usually find only in South East Asia. Loved the following: - Pandan Waffle: well made and tasty - Milo coffee: my favorite Vietnamese style coffee. Coffee with chocolate. have been ordering from here before work and I appreciate the online ordering system! My friend loves the banana matcha and I like the pandan coffee! They have a wide variety of drinks on the menu so there's something for everyone! I find that their drinks usually run on the sweeter side. One thing I noticed is they have the drinks 15 min earlier than the scheduled pick up time and while they put it in the fridge, some of the ice melts by the time I pick it up. read more

I love Phin Cafe & I've been to both locations, each one is very clean and is a great place to study or hang out for drinks and snacks. My sister and I have tried a lot of different places for banana matcha and we still say Phin is our favorite. I also think their pandan corn milk is great. read more

Tried the ube latte and banana matcha! Definitely recommend selecting the "less sweet" option, as the "regular sweet" was a little overpowering. The ube flavor was very rich. I liked the banana matcha (got "less sweet") a little more. The matcha flavor definitely shone through the banana cream, which was surprising, as banana is usually a pretty strong flavor. read more
Come here during the grand opening Packed and lined all the way to the door. There are prices and award. Was a nice ambience. This was my 3rd time, the second one order the durian, was soooooo good the combination was settled. Sadly, when I asked for less ice, it was full of ice and I drank it quickly and less strong of coffee. read more

so at first i felt like it was not bad even banh mi n snacks were pretty good! forgot to take pix of the banh mi. however, my pandan drink had a weird aftertaste from the pandan cream??? prolly will try other drinks to see if thats the case. read more

The grilled pork banh mi tasted good. Friendly staff. Except she was alone and got overwhelmed with orders coz we ordered 4 banh mis and a cup of coffee but 6 more people came in after us. We were the only customer at the time we gave our order. Our order took 30 minutes to get. Place is clean and tidy. read more
I was in the area and decided to check this place out. I was afraid it would be packed, it was busy but staff quickly acknowledged me and the drink was made quickly. I got an iced egg coffee - you have the option of less sweet or regular. I opted for the regular and it was perfect, not overly sweet. The coffee was phenomenal, it was strong but still had the hints of sweetness. The price for this was a little less than $7 which is fair compared to other coffee shops and to be honest it's good, so worth it in my opinion. read more

Came in on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy here! There's a good amount of seating (~12 tables) and less than half were filled. I ordered an iced matcha latte (which came sweetened) and it was good though a bit sweet for my liking. I generally like my matcha slightly sweetened so if I were to come back, I'd ask for light sweet and light ice. They've got some soft tunes playing in the cafe which makes it a great spot to chill and study. There's wifi, outlets, and a restroom for customers to use! read more
Luckily, I pre-ordered online. There was a long line out the door, but I was able to pick up my durian coffee drink right on time. I ordered the durian iced coffee with less sweetness, and it was really tasty with a nice balance of coffee and durian flavors. It's also made with Vietnamese coffee, so expect it to be very strong. The place was small and packed with people, but I guess it was because they just barely opened. Definitely would go back to try their other drinks. read more

Delicious tasting Egg Vietnamese coffee with a Phin Filter coco powder design. I took my wife and daughter here and not only is it a great coffee cafe vibe but it is kid friendly too! First time trying this location. Happy that they open an authentic Vietnamese coffee shop in Cupertino as area is loaded with Tea house. We ordered the sea salt crema coffee and my daughter got the panda coffee. The sea salt crema coffee was good although I would have preferred my sea salt crema poured on top rather than swirled on the cup. The coffee was less sweet but still really sweet. Strongness off the coffee could be a bit more. The Pandan per daughter was good and creamy. It also came with a cookie roll. Other than that it's still good enough for me to go back. This location does not have boba drinks like the one in San Jose. That's a downside for my Son who does not drink coffee. read more
i visited during soft opening and there werent any other customers in line so i got my drinks pretty quick. the cashier was very kind and patient. the interior is modern and there were a lot of tables and seats. it looks like a nice cafe to do work in though i'm not sure if they got outlets available for use pandan coffee (6.5/10): im not a coffee connoisseur by any means but the coffee reminded me of mcdonalds coffee + pandan. i recommend it to those who are interested in trying pandan since the pandan flavor is light and not overbearing. egg matcha (6.5/10): the matcha wasnt anything life changing but it wasnt bad either. the egg was lowkey thick but it didnt really make much of a difference to the drink imo. a good variety of fun menu items id come back for! read more

Finally got to try this place myself! I tried their salted matcha and egg coffee and it was delicious!! The flavor was hitting all the right spots! The drink was creamy just how I like it. The service was great! The cashier was super helpful with the ordering process . The owner came out and greet us, and was also talking to us about the store. The ambiance was very nice. The place was modern looking and had tables where you can sit and hangout or do work. read more

This place is the perfect spot to do work or study! The chairs are super comfortable with a good amount of outlets and soft music playing. I got the phin coffee and spam musubi and both were delicious! I got the egg topping with my coffee and it was perfect if you like it more sweet! I never wrote a bad review before but this one is definitely worth noting I got the Milk Iced Coffee and Ube Coffee, placed a mobile order, it was done in 4 mins and heres why: Milk Iced Coffee: Just ALL Ice Imagine getting a coffee that is not even filled all the way and the worst part was you ONLY take 2 sips and the drink is gone because the barista filled it all with ice, basically $6 for 2 sips, I get so disappointed when this happens like it feels like the cafe took my money for a cup of ice Ube Coffee: doesnt taste like coffee but Ube paste Worst Ube coffee I ever had - no coffee taste at all, all I taste is Ube paste, the Ube paste all on the bottom too Basically spent $15 on coffee for a morning pick me up to disappointment Whoever made my drink this morning I can tell you dont want to be there and it is reflected on the drinks you make unfortunately I will remove this review or edit this review if the owner can somehow make up for my wasted $15 coffee read more

came a little after opening hours on a sunday for their grand opening 3/16/2025! no line at 830am, found a table with outlets, and was easily able to set up my laptop & start getting some work done. got a few drinks for their promo: buy 2, get 1 free. - SESAME ROSE MATCHA: nice subtle hints of rose, but the sesame was almost overpowering the whole drink, i could barely get any notes of matcha. i think a simple rose matcha latte addition to the menu would be perfect. the sesame rose matcha almost feels like it's too many flavors going on. - BANANA MATCHA: definitely tastes like banana, so if you don't like the flavor of banana, don't get it lol. it is *not* just a subtle hint of banana. you get a bit more of the matcha flavor in this drink but still not much. - MATCHA LATTE: pretty basic drink, not much for or against - STICKY RICE BOWL: it's a nice assortment of meats, but it felt like everything had been prepped ahead of time, then just left somewhere to cool. like everything was already down to room temperature or colder, when we got it & started eating. advice to the manager/cafe would be to keep foods warm when serving. tldr; nothing was really wrong here, but it wasn't exactly outstanding either. great vibes though, nice people/staff, and sufficient for studying or getting some work done! there's about 7ish tables, few outlets, and wifi pw on the receipt after purchase. i can definitely see myself coming back :) read more
