Salum was quite good! We came here around 1:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon. There isn't a ton of parking in front but we got a spot. We got two smoothies. The prices were definitely reasonable and the staff was prompt with getting the smoothies out. The smoothies look like the erewhon smoothies but taste very very different and the prices are much more reasonable. I will say the blue smoothie had strong hints of pineapple, but the coconut flavors didn't come through as much. The Pink Dragon as well tasted interesting, the creaminess only started to come through once it melted. Sooo I'm going to start off by saying I was waiting inside the store for around 6 minutes before anyone addressed me. There was no one by the register or present. I tried to ring the bell and still nothing. I asked the lady at the register what she recommended between the pressed juice and the smoothies. Note that they have an incredibly small selection and availability of their drinks. I came in and they didn't have any of the pressed juice available other than 1. I asked her which smoothie she recommended and she was telling me between two and when I asked which one tastes better, she disregarded taste and went completely into the color of the drink. She mentioned the blue had a pretty color. Now while it does have a pretty color, I find it completely irrelevant when talking about the overall quality and taste. Anyways the smoothie was nothing great either unfortunately. I'm extremely disappointed. I came in to grab a cool drink since it's been getting warm lately. Parking is a bit limited, but I got lucky and found a spot pretty quickly. I was greeted right away, which I appreciated. I decided to go with that, but again asked if the banana could be swapped out. The girl went to ask again, and I started to feel a little weird, like I was being too much. When the lady came back, I apologized and said I just don't like banana and that I didn't mind paying extra if needed. She reassured me it was totally fine. They brought the drink out to my table, which was nice. The person who made it came over and asked how it was. I told her it was good and thanked her. She mentioned I was the first person to order it that way and that it turned out really good. I'm guessing they made a little extra to try it too, which made me feel better about my request not being a big deal, just something new. I can be a bit picky sometimes, so I tend to feel self-conscious about that, but overall it was a good experience. As for the drink, it was good, just not the best I've had. I could kind of taste the frozen fruit...like a slight freezer burn taste? Not sure if that's the right way to describe it, but I've had smoothies from other places that don't have that, so maybe it's how the fruit is stored. I'd still come back to try a bowl, toast, or maybe the dragon fruit smoothie if they have it next time. I didn't give it 4 or 5 stars mainly because the drink was just average (nothing wrong with that), and the limited parking could be a bit inconvenient depending on the time.
