Love this place. Yes I did give it a 3 star. Just cause the noodle portion has gotten way smaller. It's better to just dine in. You get extra noodles for free. Meat oxtail portion has gotten smaller. It use to come in its one container. Which says it's was bigger. But the food quality and price is good. But the mint and bean sprouts was a bit old to me. They need to keep a look out for the brown. The sprouts was turning browns also. They don't give small containers for the sauce anymore it's all packets and you need like 20 hoisin sauce packet for that one container they use to give. They forgot to pack out noodles for our pho. Mind you we don't live near the place and obviously we could not go back and drive 30 minutes. We called and waitress started yelling at us saying "they packed our noodles and soup separately". Isn't customer always right? Why are we the one being screamed at for your mistake? WE PAID YOU. Finally found pho in LA that I will definitely come back for! The parking lot is on the smaller side but parking was easy to find on a Sunday evening. Server was attentive and quick when we arrived and after placing our order, she didn't really come around which made it tricky to get some water which is apparently only available by request. Pho tai was yummy, the broth was solid and had depth..while there wasn't a ton of meat, it didn't feel like they skimped. We did have to ask for extra lime since we were only given one between the two of us. The egg rolls were okay and I wasn't a fan of the Vietnamese coffee..it seemed like there was an attempt to mask the bitterness of the coffee with extra sweetener. Overall, solid pho! read more

I loved this place. The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable despite being on the smaller side. I loved the big windows and plants! Parking was easy but I could see it being more difficult outside of lunch hours as it's shared with several businesses. We were helped immediately and our server was super friendly and sweet. Food is decent. However I came in to order to go. And the lady literally said shu-shu away when I asked for sauce to go. I get my order, put some napkins (5 at most) and two chopsticks. The restaurant was take out only when I was visiting LA. I specifically went for the oxtail and I was not disappointed. There was no bone but the meat was so fantastically tenderly cooked. The broth was not fancy but very good just the way it was. It's not a sweet broth; which is just fine with me. I also got the chicken fried rice for my 11 year old daughter; which is made with the broken jasmine rice. It was very satisfying. I was worried that taking out pho would be disappointing since I didn't have a kitchen to warm it up with. This is so NOT a problem. They package items well and the broth is sooooo hot that I burned my thigh when it dripped after I poured some out into the extra smaller container they thoughtfully provided so that I could put the noodles and beef in the big broth. I love the food here, I love the women who work here, I love that it's just down the road from my house, and I love that it's open all the time!!! I get the PHO Number seven with vegan broth. PHO is pretty disgusting because it is basically a liquid bowl of lard, which is why it taste so good. They can make any of it with a vegan broth. Doesn't taste the same but it's delicious especially when you add lots of lime and the basil and all the other fun things they give you to put in the soup. Nothing is better than a summer roll with no shrimp, and the dark dark green lettuce. Lately they've been switching it up and filling the summer roll with iceberg Which should also take the price down to a dollar, but it doesn't so request the dark green lettuce. Stopped in yesterday to order to-go because I was in the area and the pho here did not disappoint. Broth was rich and flavorful, with tons of umami. The veggies were fresh and on point. I ordered the #8 which came highly recommended with big chunks of fall-apart tender oxtail. Portion size is great, even on a to-go order, which recently have tended to skew towards smaller bowls at some other locations. Also ordered a set of the Egg Rolls which were super crispy, not too oily and came with fresh lettuce and a tasty fish sauce to dip. The wait time was lightning quick. I didn't call ahead to put an order in and ordered at the restaurant and my food was ready to go in less than 10 minutes. Pho 2000 is our families go to Pho place. So far, this is the best Vietnamese soup broth that I've had in LA. Eating in is recommended as you get the fresh noodles with the super hot broth. To go is convenient but not quite the same. The green onions, basil, onions, and cilantro are fresh totally hits the comfort food sweet spot. Also, like their eggrolls served with lettuce to wrap. No BS kind of place feels like quality. Highly recommended is the oxtail and the sliced steak you won't be disappointed. Only regret is that they cut down their hours of operation. My wife and I love trying new restaurants around the area especially Vietnamese food. The first red flag was that when they glanced at us they had us waiting by the door for almost 5 minutes, mind you there was no one there at the time. Then they said we could sit anywhere after those 5 minutes, okay that was fine maybe they were busy. When they asked for our order they took over 45 minutes to get our food, at that point I was losing my appetite. When we paid to leave they stopped us at the door, and this is where I lost my mind, she asked "no tip?" I looked at my wife and we gave them $5 because I understand that restaurant employees also live off tips regardless of the terrible or closer to no customer service. She then giggles and says "no more?" Yes!!! She still asked for more. I left so pissed off. Ridiculous place. I just wanted people to know that apparently tips are a demand there. read more

Some pros and cons and summary! Pro: This was one of my favorite Pho spots because I personally love the way the Pho tastes here. I like the thin noodle type and the broth is great. I've been coming here since I was a kid with my family. Con: The service is not great. I really wish the service was good, but when you ask questions she gets snippy and rude with you. You can tell her patience is short with people. The first thing you come in there is no smile, barely any greeting, but a "it's cash only." It makes the environment very unwelcoming irregardless of their limitation/policy. Restaurants that want and think about their customers won't be so curt and nonchalant in their behavior, but maybe a suggestion if there is an ATM somewhere or even just a hello and a smile. The waitress that served us is an older woman with shoulder tattoos. Con: Cash only. Summary: Overall, the noodles and broth is great. The interior has interesting design with the mirrors up against the wall. The food can be good so it's very unfortunate that service can ruin the review and dim the experience down to two stars. I waited about 5min, and eventually sat myself down. After sitting down at the table, no one came to take my order. I waited again, but it seemed like the servers intentionally overlooked my existence. So I walked up and ordered the food. When the food came out, they didn't give me water, even though everyone else was given water. I was wondering if I had done something wrong. Watered down broth, chewy meat, no flavor, and service wasn't good. Unfortunately it was a bad experience.

I would have to say that it's a fairly good pho place for the area that it's in. I wouldn't say that the broth was super authentic, but still pretty enjoyable. The price is pretty cheap compared to other stores. Note: They accept credit cards on orders over $20 Parking: Private lot where the valet is $2, but there's also street parking on the West side of the restaurant. Liked: Their portion sizes were generous. The food is also reasonably priced. Disliked: The amount of ice that was served with my Viet coffee, but I guess that should have been expected. Service: Service was what you would expect at an Asian restaurant, where they help you in the beginning to get seated, let you choose your order, take your order, bring you your food, and they leave you alone unless you hail them down if you need anything like if you want to pay the check or something else. Other: What I thought was weird was how they didn't really have different sizes for their meals, but I would say that they're all pretty much served in a large bowl. They were nice for asking if we were going to be using chopsticks and if we weren't planning on using chopsticks, they had the forks ready in their apron to supply us with. Subpar pho with absolute disregard for customer safety and experience. Seconds after I got my bowl, one of the employees started mopping the floors of the entire dining area with bleach. The entire place smelled like it and I couldn't even taste the already tasteless pho. The strong odor of bleach started filling up the room and my eyes got watery. Very shortly after, I got a headache from the bleach fumes and I decided to leave immediately. NOW... the worker tells me the credit card machine isn't working. I only have card and did not bring any cash. I waited outside while leaving my card with her as she repeatedly tried to make the credit card machine work. I couldn't even stand in there with the heavy fumes. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Complete waste of money especially that I hardly got to eat my food. read more

We did find a bug in one of the pho and once we told the waiters they didn't really seemed bothered. They offered us a soda for the bug in the soup.
