Food: First of all, there are hardly any vegetarian options. I think the lady had gave me the only veggie option there. It was SO BLAND. I felt like I was drinking water with some bean sprouts thrown in there. Never had pho in socal before but I live right near by Pho 21, so i had to try it. They dont really have a big variety of items to pick from on the menu, so i just ordered a typical pho bowl with meat balls. The taste to the broth is average, but they give you a pretty good portion so that makes up for it. But i have yet to eat at a pho spot in socal that makes me want to go back there. I give this place 5 stars because I've tried many places and I was really impressed by the broth how it's great on its own. No need to add anything to it. I usually ad all the stuff to mine Chile, lemon, jalapeños, sprouts and basil. But I felt I didn't want to add anything to it cause it was so good on its own. Firstly, I'd like to say that the majority, if not all, of the people that work here are all Korean. :/ So maybe not authentic Vietnamese pho? However, despite other reviews, we had a pleasant experience with our waitresses (multiple of them!) and they were very nice when we asked to pay separately. As far as pho goes, it was all righttt. You can probably get better (and cheaper) for others in the area, since it is near Anaheim/Huntington Beach/Westminter (where pho restaurants can be seen for miles...), but this one was actually on our way back to LA from Disneyland. Their portions are huge though! A small looked large and a large looked...well, gigantic. We were all starving since our wallets were already crying from going to Disneyland, so we had to wait till we left the park to buy dinner at 12:30am. Which brings me to my next point: their late hours were extremely convenient, so thank goodness for that! My friends, both female AND males, were full with their small bowls. Ambiance.. Probably not where you'd take a date. The place doesn't really go for aesthetics and kind of has that dim, white lighting, but you can't really complain. Never mind the fact that I was inches away from death in the parking lot and almost ran over by someone, but as I entered this pho place to take my to go phone order I was then pushed out of the way by the server. I stood in the corner for some time and then I finally asked if she can help me out. Paid for it with a credit card and as I was signing she snatched the receipt from my hand. Super rude about it when I told her she needed to let me finish signing. Waited for about 20 minutes for my food that I phoned in for. Also I don't mean to be insensitive but there were 2 groups of people that were obviously not her race that she treated horribly and ignored them completely. I was not the only person treated badly and I'm pretty sure both groups left without putting an order in. Lastly as I was taking my order out in the death trap of a parking lot the way they packaged the food was horrible. 3 hot soups in a loose packaging with all the fixings was just horrible. Inside its clean and casual with big mirrors to the right as you walk in. Looking at the menu, the prices all looked reasonable. We were promptly served cold refreshing tasting water in little 4oz silver cups with 1 full pitcher on side. My daughter ordered thier eggs rolls which were delicious and the best tasting ones I ever had! I ordered 1 spring roll with shrimp. Each table gets its own carafe of ice water. They give generous portions of pho, and they're open late. Also, like Robin L. mentioned, this place accepts major credit cards. Some other Asian places don't. The bad: I wouldn't suggest ordering the pho ga (chicken). The chicken was bland, forgettable. Also, pho ga is normally served with ground ginger in fish sauce, but that's not served here. That aside, I can't complain.
