I loved this place. I've been here over a dozen times. But i saw something that really disturbed me. I saw the waiter (young guy) bussing tables. He threw out all the trash, but he collected the basil that was leftover. I was disturbed bc i saw crumpled napkins, chopsticks wrappers on those same plates, on top of the basil. Why did he not dump it in the trash along with the other stuff? I'm going to continue eating Pho, just not here, just to be safe. read more

My favorite Pho place! I've only had the veggie pho, but I've had in three times in a couple of months because it's just that good! It's a massive amount of food so I always get two servings out of it. It includes tons of noodles, veggies, and tofu and the broth is delicious. I went here for the first time the other day and loved it. I got the house special, which only comes in large. It comes with a variety of different meat and lots of noodles. I really wanted to like this place. But you can't ways get what you want. Positives: bright, clean ambiance, which is not always the case with pho spots. Friendly, prompt service and great prices as well. (I refuse to pay over $10 for a bowl of pho!) Caphe sua da is solid. Negatives: our spring rolls came out so mushy we questioned whether they were cooked. The spicy satay was funky. The biggest disappointment was the soup. Tonight it was way too sweet and also was overpowered with star anise. Noodle to beef ratio was out of proportion; they definitely skimped on the brisket. The owner was very nice and took our spring rolls off the bill. That said, we still paid $27 for 2 large bowls and 2 coffees. I don't want to diss a new biz, but with pho viet flare the next plaza over, I probably won't return. read more

Let me first off start with, I have eaten here several times and have been very happy with everything I have ordered. But this time, I'm pissed because I order shrimp fried rice at $10.95 to go, which I thought was a little high but okay. I get home and open my container and I have a ton of fried rice but maybe 6 popcorn shrimp, 6 I say! What the heck did I pay for. A gem of a place in Van Dorn plaza. This is my go to for pho nam 1-2 nights a week and it never disappoints. Flavor of the broth is excellent, a little sweet, and the addition of chili satay makes it perfectly spicy. I've tried the egg rolls, grilled beef and vermicelli, and fresh garden rolls which are all delicious, but the pho is the best. Service is great, establishment is very clean, and there's always a decent amount of foot traffic coming in and out of this neighborhood pho restaurant. Give it a go! read more

I haven't written a 1 star review in awhile but I was very disappointed with my Pho here. After a long day at work, Alexis K and I decided to try out this new Pho establishment located in a strip mall off Van Dorn St. Alexis doesn't eat pho so she opted for a vermicelli bowl and seemed to enjoy it. My review pertains to their pho. I opted for a large bowl of the Pho Tai Nam (rare steak and brisket), I should also mention that a large bowl here comes in at $8.90... portion overall is weak compared to the more well-known pho places in the area. After garnishing my pho with the bean sprouts, basil and etc I took a sip of the broth and I thought I was drinking water. The broth literally tasted like water with absolutely no seasoning. To mitigate this I doused my pho with Sriracha and it became slightly more edible. Not only was the broth horrible, the meat was not rare as they advertised. Typically you find the thinly sliced beef floating on top of the broth with a pink hue, but it came out fully cooked here so it ended up being tough to chew. Lastly, they also provided the bare minimal amount of noodles you can provide. It's probably half the portion of Pho 75 but charging a price higher than Pho 75. Before I end my review, I will say this place is clean and has a very modern feeling unlike most other grimy pho places in the area. But unfortunately that is not enough for me to make a return to this place. If you're looking for good pho, I would recommend that you look elsewhere. read more

There aren't a whole lot of Pho places in Alexandria, so I was pretty excited to hear that Pho 95's was opening up near my apartment. The restaurant itself is really clean, bright, and nicely laid out. This is not really relevant to the food, but I must say that their bathroom was immaculate; I really, really appreciate a clean bathroom, hehe. I ordered one of their vermicelli bowls - it came with shrimp, grilled pork, pickled veggies, and an egg roll. There's really nothing much to say about vermicelli bowls as they taste pretty standard wherever you go. I enjoyed my vermicelli bowl, and it was a good way to end a long, stressful day. Service was friendly and efficient, but that's usually the case for all mom & pop establishments. Overall, a solid place for a verm bowl. Me likey! read more

After a workout and being hungover, I really needed some Pho. This place was on the way home so I decided to check it out. I ordered takeout. The service was good and offered me water while I waited. The Pho itself was underwhelming. The broth lacked that yummy taste you just crave. The meat that was packed was pre-cooked which usually comes raw. Maybe this is done for safety reasons. Also, I didn't get my extra limes I'd asked for. With so many Pho spots in the area, I think they need to improve the broth to survive this tough market. read more

It was just... Okay. I got a#9. Steak was chewy and meat portion was small. I ordered a size small and there was enough bean sprouts for three people. The spring rolls were mostly lettuce, the shrimp over cooked, and the peanut sauce bland. The iced coffee didn't come out with the drip filter and tasted like it was made from syrup. The shop has been open in my area for the past two weeks. I just went to this restaurant a few days ago and was quite pleased. It is clean and comfortable to be in, very inviting. I ordered grilled chicken with rice and the portion was very hearty. I compare it to another pho shop down the street and the prices are pretty similar but a smidge cheaper. The chicken was delicious! I was happy they gave me a good amount of fish sauce while others are a bit stingy. I'll be back soon! read more

This is our best place to go out and eat.I would recommend friends from New York to this amazing restaurant.The service is always impeccable,The food is so good and healthy,my first took me here informing me that it helps with any type of sickness I passed it off as Rubbish,as if what kind of food does that,however low and behold that's what happened the soups cleaned out my system,replenished my immune system with nutrients and tons of water,it's just as if the food alone boosted my stats and regeneration.But that aside I would recommend bringing your younger siblings and family here,here the atmosphere is delightful and I'm always thankful of the service they provide here in Alexandria.I wish they keep growing so one day when I travel anywhere they will be across the nation so I would never be able to miss their beloved food. read more

My husband and I really enjoyed this new pho restaurant. They only offer fried tofu for vegetarians, I think they may consider expanding their "meat" options for vegetarians. I enjoyed the fresh gardeb rolls, peanut sauce was good. I ordered the vegetarian Vietnamese salad, my husband ordered a bowl of soup. We enjoyed both. Next time I'm going to try the veggie pho.
