I came with my friends and they got pho. I tasted their broth and it was delicious. Was my first time going to this place and definitely going to be my last. Came in and sat there with a friend of mine, we were not even greeted at all. They didnt give us the menu and we had to ask for it, after like 3-5 minutes of looking at menu they kept on asking if we were ready for like 5x, like.. we just got here and we weren't even asked of what drinks we'd like. Mind you, I asked for water and they said they CHARGE $0.52 for a bottle of water, I asked for tap instead and they said no. When asked for utensils, the server just put it in the table without any napkins or anything- which I considered pretty unsanitary not knowing whether the table was cleaned or not prior of us seating there. When I asked for a to-go box, I wasnt even done putting all my leftover food in the box and they immediately took my bowl at the middle of. Super rude and never coming back again. read more

Bun bo hue is great, the broth has amazing qualities to it that make you smile. The Hu Tieu noodles blew me away as well. There was a sense of homemade attributes that I have never experienced at any restaurant. The chicken wings are crispy, fresh, and flavorful. Pho Bistro is my favorite vietnamese restaurant in Elk Grove. My go to is the banh mi thit nuong and the hu tieu dac biet. Highly recommend both of those items. My boyfriend loves to order the pho dac biet. They also have Thai tea and lychee lemonade that is really good as well. Can't wait for dine in to open up again! I miss eating inside. Food here is pretty good. Soup is flavorful (no faucet water smell like others), meats in rice plate seems fresh. Love the unique eggroll. Will get it again for sure. However, the rice that came with it is on the old side. It was grainy and has a tint of yellow, still edible but you can tell it was in the rice cooker for a long time. I just wished it was fresh too to match the rest of the food. Also, we noticed someone was sweeping the floor while we were eating. Not really a big deal but it would be a good habit to clean when no one's around especially if we're the only table eating (table next to us just ordered). Took my kid to eat here, yikes.. damn the price and food wasn't that good. How u gonna have a restaurant and no water, got charged for Costco water bottles. $1.50 each. End up paying $52 for 2 pho blow and spring rolls. 2 Costco water bottles. Don't even know how that add up to be $52. I guess that's how they get u. Wanted to try something new. Got a vermicelli grilled pork, eggroll and shrimp noodle. It was okay. The noodles were a bit big. Not a lot of flavor. But the eggroll was unique and yummy! Probably wouldn't get the dry noodles again. My bf got the grilled chicken Vietnamese sandwich. It was still pretty hot when I got home so that was a plus. But it didn't really seem like it was much grilled. Kinda bland. Probably will give the soup a try one day. But inside was very well kept and clean that's an extra star for me. read more

Went here for lunch today. This place exceeded our expectations by far. I had the Bun Bo Hue which was very flavorful. They didn't skimp on the beef or the noodles. I would say that it's the best Bun Bo Hue in all of Sacramento area. Wife had the Hu Tieu with clear noodles. She's been looking for a place that has this bowl that would compare to OC quality since we moved to sac in 2000. She finally found one that hits the spot. We also had the tasty lychee lemonade to complement the delicious food. The place was clean, employees pleasant, and price very reasonable. This place is under the radar good food. I ordered the carmelized pork belly sandwich (with added egg), which was terrific! The meat was so flavorful along with the perfect amount of veggies on super fresh french bread. I also enjoyed the grilled pork and shrimp spring rolls. The meat was grilled nicely and the shrimp wasn't just a sliver like some places make. The peanut sauce could be a bit more bold. Lastly i ordered the #1 Bistro special ribeye Pho, which comes along with a separate plate of ribeye rib bones that have generous amounts of tender beef falling off the bone. It was two delicious meals in one! All of the food was nicely packaged by friendly staff 15 minutes after i phoned in the order. We will be back for more very soon! read more

Worst service ever. Went there about 30 min before their posted closing. Waitress hovered over us saying the kitchen was closing. Served us cold food. Started cleaning the restaurant while diners were still eating. I guess if you want dust and dirt on your food while you are eating it is ok. When we asked for take out containers they pointed us to where they were and told us to get them. There was no cause for such rude behavior. If they want to go home at 8, they should close the restaurant at 7. The patrons should be allowed to eat in peace. By the way, we were out at 8:05 and other patrons were still in the restaurant so we were not the ones holding them up. Will never go back there again. Food was terrible. As others have said, they don't even serve you water. The gold utensils were dirty and we had to clean them before we used them. And they try to pick up the table before you even finish eating. Would give them 0 stars if it was an option. Place was expensive for such lousy food and service. read more

This is my favorite pho place. The beef and chicken pho broth are always flavorful. The tofu that they use for their vegetarian friendly dishes is fantastic. It seems to have a mix of herbs in it that I've never seen offered at any other restaurant. The lychee lemonade is also good. Perfectly sweet and tart with real bits of lychee in it. I especially love this place after I ordered through doordash. The delivery person left behind some of my order. I assume it was the owner that had called me up and let me know. I should've asked for his name! He graciously offered to deliver it to me after he closed up shop. He apologized and even threw in a free drink even though it wasn't the restaurant's fault! Im so sad that this place got a little comfortable with their service. I bragged about this place being one of the new best pho place in EG and brought a lot people here. But, today might have just ruined it for me. Im not sure if its just because its a slow day but today our food was not good at all. I ordered egg rolls and it literally came out in one minute and you could definitely tell that it was refried and ordered a plate and that came out within two minutes after. First time trying pho bistro and it was reallyyy good! We live not too far away so I'm surprised it took me this long to try it out. The broth was very flavorful and there was a lot of meat that came with it. Staff was very nice and frequently checked in on us. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was their lychee lemonade. I absolutely loveeee lychee and love lemonade and never heard of it combined, but it really just tasted like lychee juice. Overall, I will definitely be back soon read more

We've been coming here for a while now and we've referred this restaurant to a lot of friends and families. The food is always good and the servers always try their best to provide good and friendly service even when they're really busy. I would give them 5 stars if it wasn't for an incident that we believed the owner didn't handle well. It was the night before Thanksgiving. Our family went to enjoy our usual dinner at this place. When we got there, all the tables were taken and a young guy server told us to sign in on the hard copy wait list and told us it should be about 15 mins wait and we were the next to be seated. We waited for about 20 mins and young guy server told us he's cleaning a table for us. Then a lady server answered a phone call and placed the call on hold and came over to ask the young guy server if he can save the table for the customers on the phone, that they are driving and on their way here. The young guy server told the lady server that we've been waiting and he already offered the table to us. Then the lady server came to me and ask if my family can wait another 20 mins because they want to reserve the open table for some customers who just called and on their way now. I told the lady server no because we were here first and already waited over 20 mins, plus those customers are not even here yet. Then the guy server seated us. Then after a few mins, an older guy server (think he's the owner) came up to my family and said we shouldn't be sitting there and the table is reserved for other customers that just called in. The owner did not even ask us what happened or tried to gather the facts before accusing and blaming us of taking the table. This whole situation made my family very uncomfortable, embarrassed and disappointed on how the owner handled the situation. He really should have taken the time to gather the facts and give us a chance to explain before jumping to conclusions. Even though he was not mean or loud to us, but the situation made us feel like we were nothing. I really didn't know how to explain to my son about what was going on and why were we being blamed. We ended up remaining at that table but our dinner was not enjoyable and our dining experience was ruined that evening. I hope this is just an anomaly and other families won't have to go through the humiliation and disappointment that our family went through. read more

The food is amazing delicious. Hence no photos because I keep stuffing my face before remembering to snap a few photos. We've had the following: Chicken pho - down fall was that I didn't ask for dark meat and it only came with white meat. The white meat was soft and tender, not dry and the broth was very good. Just the right flavor. Yes, I will order again. Spring rolls and egg rolls - these were good. I don't usually eat restaurant egg rolls, but these were good that I ate two. Bun Bo hue - this was delicious! Probably be my place to go now. I added their chili oil with it and it made it even better. So good! The broth was still pretty warm by the time I picked up the food and had dinner at the park. They were very accommodating since we needed extra stuff since we weren't going home to eat. Rice place #C2 with pork was delicious. My boys enjoyed it. The portion was not skimpy. It was large to feed two. Overall, I'm glad this is close to home. Awesome! Had a little too much to drink last night and wanted a giant bowl of pho. Ordered to go since it's Covid, everything was neatly organized, with everything you need - and a LOT! Cilantro, sauces, sprouts... first took a bite of the fresh spring rolls (at first I was like I ordered fresh spring rolls, but once I took a bite I got it) and oh my goodness, the sauce was off the hook! Next I dumped in the meat - I ordered rare steak. I have never seen so much meat in a bowl of pho! It was perfect! And it was very very tasty including the broth! We ordered the regular beef pho which had slices of beef and pho only...missing the meat ball, tripe, beef tendons ..etc. Also, we ordered the grilled pork over rice.
