My son had the pho noodle soup with egg noodles and he loved it. We also had my son's teammate with us who also ordered the soup and also loved it. I had the Corning hen rice plate and wow. I've never had Corning hen at a Vietnamese place before since most Vietnamese places just have chicken thighs. That is one of the best dish I had in a while and such a tasty and flavorful dish. The layout is the same but they've refreshed the decor and furniture, and refreshed the food as well! I tried one of my favorite soup noodles known as Bun Rieu, and it was as good as I had hoped. The broth was plenty flavorful and the crab-pork balls were nicely tender. My family liked the pho very much as well. The service was good and the ladies were attentive. The food came out fast which is how I like it. I didn't like how the credit card machine had 18% tip as the minimum auto tip. Seems like they are forcing the amount of tip. Our waiter was very nice, but didn't really listen to my wife's request, asking for "no onions". Once we got our pho bowls we lo and behold "onions". Worst thing a man can do is eat while you watch across the table your wife separating the white and green onions from her bowl. After all said and done, pho was ok, spring roll was a bit dry, and the coffee was a bit sweet for my taste. I was recommended by a service advisor from the BMW dealership while having my car and service to try out this location as it is considered a little better than some of the other locations in the area. Bedsides the pretty servingware there's not much good I can say about this place. Came in seated myself waited a while for a menu then tried to order sliced pork in a pho as I saw that they did have a sliced pork in a pork broth with lots of other things in it but I just wanted the sliced pork and not the quail eggs or shrimp, etc. They said "No" they don't make sliced pork pho, so I asked if I could just have some sliced pork in any soup base with noodles, and they said "No." I probably should've left at that point, but I ordered the chicken for pho. The soup base was basically the flavor of Lipton instant soup and super salty, no spice It had a half a dozen shavings of chicken and a couple slivers of onion and pepper. After sitting with my salt soup with the tin pho noodles a few minutes, I realizied that they were not going to be checking on me, I then at got up and went to the register to request a cup of water, to which they said "No." Instead they asked me if I would like to buy a bottle of water. I generally drink a couple glasses of water with my pho and this pho was super salty, so I was required to pay 2.50 plus tax for water. This brought my total for a very salty disappointing lunch to over $20. Basically the most I've ever spent on just a regular pho that rated right down there with cup-o-noodles! read more
