I ate here again last night as Corina was doing something with the grandkids. This is just totally the best pho I have ever tasted! So far the ribeye is my favorite and that is what I had last night. I am working on trying the others though. I'll try the pho tai next. I tried the Pho Dac Biet a couple of weeks ago and somehow missed on the menu that it had tripe and I'm not a fan of it. Moved from San diego and have been looking for an authentic and yummy viet restaurant! Me and my husband love Pho Bistro. We always get great and kind service from everyone here. The pho is super good too. Not too salty like some other places. Today we came here for lunch and I tried their bun rieu (viet crab noodles soup) and it was up to par to my mom's recipe. So yummy. I'm vietnamese so I'm pretty particular with my viet foods! Also the portions are huge!! Amazing value for the price. How in the world did I just NOW discover this place?! I'm upset at myself that I didn't come sooner! Their Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef noodle soup) is legit! Authentic and full of flavor. It comes fully loaded with delicious beef slices, blood cubes (DONT ick my yum), and some pork meat balls (I wish there were some pigs feet and that would seal the deal!) the broth is extremely delicious, great herbs offered on the side, and the noodles are perfectly cooked! I think I just found my new favorite pho spot in Elk Grove. What an incredible experience top to bottom. I came here on a Friday afternoon and luckily was able to get a table before the rush came in. The employees were so friendly and sat us down immediately. The menu is very simple with tons of delicious items. I ordered the honey garlic wings and tofu spring rolls for the appetizers. The wings were amazing! And I highly recommend it. So much flavor in each bite. The tofu spring rolls were also a hit. The peanut sauce was the star with each bite. They do party tray orders for both of these items so if you need something easy to bring to an event, call them! For my entree, I got the Pho Bistro/Dac Biet which was so much food! Honestly, couldn't believe the amount they gave me. It had sliced round beef, meat balls, flank, brisket, tripe with a side order of rib bones. The pictures don't do it justice. First thing I always do is taste the broth and it didn't disappoint. So much flavor and you can tell that they don't short change their ingredients. The whole order was delicious and amazing! My first time here, and my first impression is... Yes, hot soup! The number one pet peeve for me eating any noodle soup is semi-warm soup. I ordered the bun bo hue and my friend got a regular pho and both came out pipping hot, which I love! Both soups were seasoned very well, not overwhelming or salty, in fact, my friend's daughter even drank most of the soup in her bowl. From what I see, they only have one size for everything, but you can of course add sides to your bowl. I was able to finish my bowl and my friend shared her bowl with her young daughter, and it seems to be the right portion for both of us. FYI - they only offer bottled water at $.50/ea. The restaurant is clean, the vibes are straight. They are on the pricey side for Pho but every where in Sacramento has been gone up on there prices. If you're in Elk Grove and looking for a gray pho spot, I would definitely recommend pho Bistro. It's the closest you can get to Bay Area pho. It's almost a hidden gem, when we chose the spot we were in a hurry and weren't expecting much, just wanted to grab some food before hitting the road, and I am glad at we close to eat here. This will be my go to spot moving forward. Got there around 3:30pm on a Sunday and didn't have to wait. (Party of 4). I ordered their special Pho Dac Biet #1 which came with 2 beef ribs. They only have one size here and the serving is huge (Me like!!) I can't speak to the hu tieu as I didn't try it, but I really loved my order. Flavor was great, they had fresh noodles which are thicker than your typical pho noodles, soo rare to find a place that serves this size noodle besides TK NOODLE. Beef rib meat was tender, and fall off the bone. Pho broth was rich and flavorful. PRO TIP: ask for the broth oil with green onion, it's free an enhanced the flavor.( it's in my pic with the beef ribs). We ended up trying this place because the restaurant that we planned on going which is located in the same complex no longer offer dine in service. We had their C1-rice combo of chicken, shrimp and egg roll, B1- pork, shrimp, egg roll vermicelli combo, spicy beef noodle, egg rolls, and pork rib chops. Service was quick, and plate presentation looks nice, serving size is adequate however what all was lacking is the flavor on the sauces/dipping sauces that normally makes most Vietnamese food tasty We tried asking for more sauce in the hope of salvaging the food but it didn't work. The vermicelli combo ended up looking like a soup because we put so much nuoc mam/fish sauce that was so watery and had no flavor. Sad to say we are not coming back. Service is quick and friendly, and the food is super tasty. I've eaten at Pho Bistro a few times and I had a good experience each time. Recently, I enjoyed the pho with rib eye and pork banh mi. The pho with rib eye was perfect for a cold, rain day. I liked that the rib eye was served a little pink (I enjoy my steak medium rare). This is a small and cute pho restaurant. Everything looked really clean and uncluttered. The pho broth was really good and probably rate it in my top 3 in the Elk Grove Sacrament area. if you are a pho enthusiast you know there is a lot of competition. It was a good amount of noodles, but not over whelming, and good amount of meat the broth was flavorful and clear. Which I hear is hard to do. I assume there is only one size because server didn't ask what size we wanted. I am not a fan of this new trend of "gourmet pho" that cost over $20 or more. I miss the simple $10 bowels loaded with everything. Pho was meant to be a cheap and filling meal. But with everything being more expensive these day. Pho Bistro is one of the places my brother and I DoorDash religiously during COVID-19 once we discovered it. We always would get their rib pho, their lychee green tea and their banh mi. During covid we ordered enough to the point where we were pretty sure they started recognizing our name and gave extra even. Everything is suppper delicious here(all the meat is really tender, ribs are fall of the bone, broth is rich and flavorful) even though I think the quality has gone down slightly. I know I'm crazy for having soup during this heat wave, but for whatever reason I was craving for bun bo hue. Bonus urges from wanting to try the lychee lemonade here. I got food delivery and the first thing I noticed is the poor packaging of the goods. The drink was inside the plastic bag with the food and although it was tied in its own small bag it still could have easily tipped over inside the big plastic bag. Also, the styrofoam carton with the bun bo hue fixings (veggies, noodles, meat, etc.) was squashed due to the drink and the container holding the bun bo hue broth. Compact food delivery packaging, yes, but not the neatest. Anyway, onto the actual food. When I opened the styrofoam carton I saw slices of green meat. Wowee. Had the fabulous metallic sheen and all. I took a bite of the meat and it did have an iron taste to it. The veggies in the styrofoam carton looked past their prime (i.e. yellowed cilantro). Okay, at this point I was hoping for the bun bo hue broth to be the saving grace here. It does have the sourness that I like in bun bo hue, but I've had bun bo hue broth at other places that had more flavor depth to it. I'd say in terms of just the broth, it gets the job done but there's nothing mindblowing about it (a.k.a. would minimally satisfy a bun bo hue craving). As for the popular lychee lemonade, it's very tart. I like the lychee and lemonade combo but I wished that it was less sweet. Planning to sip through it for the next couple of days with some dilution (it would make a killer cocktail base btw). Eh, overall I wasn't really impressed with the bun bo hue; seemed like I got old scraps of the fixings and the bun bo hue broth was alright at best. The lychee lemonade wasn't really refreshing, as many people here say, but maybe I just don't have the sweet tooth for it (tasted like liquid candy to me). read more

This morning we were craving pho so we decided to go to our go-to spot. We were the first ones here and of course we got the special pho dac biet and special pho bistro with the rib bone. We were greeted right away and serviced by van. She was very funny and nice, she made a joke that she had no 7-Up, but they only had 8-up as she was making a dad joke that we didn't understand but it was just funny because she was trying really hard. I told her that they have really good yelp reviews, she acKnowledge their high ratings and encouraged us to add a review based off our experience. The food was good as usual. Combination rice plate was good plenty of pork very well seasoned. My only problem was the rice that it came with it was hard and tasted like it was a day old. 3 stars on the rice. Rib bone pho was great they gave me 3 bones but barely any meat on it but mostly fat. The broth was very clean and spiced right it didn't need the condiments. The bowl it self had tendon, tripe and sliced meat so it was hella meaty! A1 fried spring rolls was great filling was meaty n roll were big and couldn't finish it in on sitting.
