Good Pho in Daly City? Heck yeah! Huge shoutout to this new place right across the lane from Classic Bowl in Daly City. I wasn't planning on writing about it, but the service combined with the food was really good! The pho was hearty and flavorful. In fact, it even beat a few of the San Jose places I've been to. It's better than what's left near Westborough and very closely beats the place that used to be where the Mercedes dealer is now. The ambiance is good, though the booth seating was designed a bit far from the table. Service is friendly and welcoming and just the right amount of attention. This place is really cute. They had my favorite soup Laksa. The broth is fresh and creamy. The shrimp came pealed and lots of fish balls and fish cake. The condensed milk iced coffee of course was strong and hit the spot. The two workers, husband and wife I think, were really sweet. read more

Service 5 stars. The waitresses was sweet, accommodated our special requests and even gave my littlest a hug when we left. Food 5 stars. Maybe it's because they aren't the status quo when it comes to pho. The broth had a little tang to it that I wasn't used to. It was yummy just a little different. Went here a couple weeks ago craving some warm since it was a cold day. We got seated the waiter was really nice. I got a Bun Bo Hue and my girlfriend got a vermicelli salad. I also got a garlic noodles with five spice chicken to go. My thoughts on the Bun Bo Hue. The Bun Bo Hue was a little dissapointing it different was warm and had the spice, but the flavor was that strong. The noodles was disappointing since it was smaller and softer than I usually have it. The Vermicelli Salad was good it came with pork. It was pretty refreshing and was a good contrast to the Bun Bo Hue. Me and my girlfriend liked it. And she said the sauce was amazing. The Garlic noodles on the other hand was pretty bad. The noodles weren't al dente the flavor wasn't that great either. And the chicken didn't have much of a good flavor to it. Overall I wouldn't go again. Maybe this is the new place for the area for Vietnamese food since I have not noticed it before. It's literally across from the bowling place that has been there for years. It was fairly quite in the restaurant upon arrival. There was only another couple inside. Therefore, we were sat fairly quickly. Menu items were pretty standard. One thing caught our attention was the five spices chicken spring rolls. On their menu, both fried spring rolls and five spices chicken rolls had the same price for the same amount on the appetizers menu. With this in place, we asked if it was possible to replace the garlic noodles with spring rolls to give spices chicken roll. The answer was, there would be additional charge. We didn't understand the concept. The garlic noodles were overcooked. The five spices chicken was okay but we have had better. The crab paste noodle soup tasted slightly different, not the better one that I have had neither. I would recommend this place for a quick lunch or dinner but don't have too high of expectations. read more

I've only had two things from here but it was so good it led me to write this review ASAP. I'm not feeling too well so I really wanted some soup. I really wanted some Bun Rieu and they had it here! They also had Banh Mi's and I've been craving that for a while too. I called them for pick up and they said 15 minutes. It took me some time to get there but my order was ready as soon as I arrived. I was so hungry, I snuck a few bites of the Banh Mi. Combination Pork & Pate Banh Mi (4.5/5) - SOFT BREAD! I love when the bread is soft and not so hard that it hurts the roof of my mouth. Soft when you squish it but still crunchy and crumby when you bite into it. The pate and the homemade mayo were perfect! It was practically oozing out of the sandwich. There were a ton of pickled carrots and daikon which balanced out the saltiness of the meats. The only thing that was missing would be some jalapenos! This will be my go-to spot whenever I'm craving a Banh Mi. Bun Rieu/ Crab Meat and Tomato Rice Noodle Soup (4.5/5) - Overall, the taste is quite different from my mom's homemade Bun Rieu and compared to Ben Tre. When I saw different, I meant a good way though. My to-go order included some shrimp paste and I added it to my soup when I warmed it up. Oh boy, did it add some extra UMAMI! Without the shrimp paste, the soup might have been a bit bland. I recommend adding shrimp paste if it needs a little extra salty/umami kick. The crab meatballs were soft and immediately fell apart when I bit into them. It also had shreds of crab meat! The tofu they put is way better than the tofu puffs I usually have with it. The pork blood cubes were a bit flavorless and way too overcooked. I have to say, the flavors and ingredients were unique. It really satisfied my cravings and I'll definitely order again in the future! There are a few more items I'd love to try and if they're just as good, I'd change this review to 5 stars! read more

We were not disappointed, the Vietnamese coffee was a little too strong for me but the owner was kind enough to fix the taste to my liking. Beef Broth was heavy on spices, chicken broth was nice and clean tasting. 5 spice chicken was juicy and good. Going to try imperial rolls and 5 spice with garlic noodles next. 2 criticisms: 1. No beef stew pho it's my favorite but that's okay 2. Only gave an individual portion of bean sprouts/basil for 3 orders. Think it was a bagging error. Just discovered this place not too long ago. Saw it when I was going to Onyx for boba right next door. Finally tried it out today without any expectations. Ordered to-go but the staff were very friendly and the interior was very interesting. Food was ready very fast and overall smooth and convenient process. Ordered the pho tai with tripe which satisfied my pho craving. The broth was very soothing, not too salty or herby. The rare beef was really good, one of the best that i've had. Only complaint I have is the noodles were soft / overcooked and broke apart when i ate it. But that could just be the fact it was to-go. 7/10 pho Also ordered cabbage salad with fried imperial rolls. 8/10 for the salad, 9/10 for the imperial rolls. The salad was refreshing and the sauce was on point, but would have liked more herbs. The imperial rolls were very good, almost on turtle tower level. The combination beef has only three slices of beef and 3 beef balls and a little other beef stripe, the broth has no flavor at all. We also order lasak seafood noodle, 3 colors rice plate and fried imperial roll. All the main dishes only have a little bit of meat and are dry (overcooked). The imperial roll taste good but $12.95 for 4 small pieces, I can have better quantity and quality of imperial rolls from other restaurant. I won't come back to order food from this restaurant again! Service was good they're friendly. We ordered the Five Spice Chicken with Rice Plate and its very tasty. We also got the Spicy Beef & Pork Rice Noodle Soup and it's just have enough spice. I loved it! The serving for the soup is big so for Mom's you can share it with little kids. My son had a bowl of soup too but he wasn't able to finish the whole bowl. Will definitely come back.
