For a restaurant space that's been a revolving door - I actually like this place in the area. Brings a little more popular dishes closer to everyone in this neighborhood since Pho is truly a drive every where else! This place is a good 10 minute walk/2 minute drive from my moms house. Walking inside is really clean interior, smells fresh, and a very well lit and "designed" space. I mean, I'm giving it A for effort trying to turn a plain space for pho into a little more DIY fancy spot lol. The rooms are decorated with plastic chandeliers and I thought it was a kinda cute. Place is very clean, from ceiling to floor. Anyway! The customer service-- only one lady serving and doing everything in the front, she held it down!!!! She is so considerate and sweet. I grabbed the high chair for my son and she gladly took it away from me and asked to "clean" it, felt like it was already clean! So with her doing that was really considerate of her! When there was people inside she was already catering to! She always refilled our waters after offering water or tea, she quickly gave us plates and plastic utensils/bowls for my son without asking her too! 5 stars just for her!!!!! FOOD ORDERED: Fried Spring Rolls - nice and crispy, 4 pieces, noodles and sliced chicken inside Laksa Pho (Large, in picture) - I didn't try it but my brother loved it lol. He said it was creamy and fresh, a good mixture of all spices Grilled Pork slices with rice/egg - This smelled good and my bf wish he ordered another. He said though thin, still filling and tasted good 9/10 The difference with Regular and Large is possibly a two small bowls is a regular and a large is damn 4 large bowls. Five Spice Pho with crab tomato base soup *A VERY LIGHT AND FRESH BROTH, NOT THICK OR CREAMY* - I swear this taste like sinigang (Filipino sour soup!) it was very refreshing with every bite. The perfect amount of tomatoes, mint, and spices made every bite worth the calorie intake! 10/10 recommend Vietnamese ice coffee yummy, stronger but a little watered down 8/10 The noodles - they said rice noodle and it was a very egg noodle thin noodle, which was good! I personally thought it was the thicker ones. Just an fyi if you're picky about noodles... like me. I asked for egg noodle but they didn't have any for the day. OVERALL - they skimp out on the meat for rice plates but have a really good ratio with the noodles/meat/broth in the pho. For extra meat it's $3 and for extra noodles it's $2. Came here on a Saturday night for a pho fix with my husband around 6:30-7pm. It wasn't full or empty, so we got seated right away. There's a tv in our nook to watch football so my husband appreciated it. We had cha goi (fried egg rolls), pho, and garlic noodles with chicken. The fried rolls were good as it came with noodles and veggies to wrap with. The pho was also solid, but the garlic noodles disappointed me a lot. The noodles were all stuck together and not in separate strands, and overcooked as it was very soft and mushy. Was hungover and dying so I decided to walk up the street to finally check out this pho spot. Had to get myself a plum soda for my tummy. The egg rolls were bomb, I love when they use rice paper wrap. The pho was decent, could've been better. I think I'll try the bun riêu or bbh next time. The service was great, although it was empty which is why I'm writing this review to help boost the spot cause they deserve it :). If the owners are reading this, your noodles are over cooked. I have found this place has egg rolls (with the rice paper wrap that I like). The wraps aren't thick like many restaurants in the US. It took me a long time to find a restaurant that could have authentic cha gio (egg rolls). The bowl of Pho (#1) is enormous. However, the rice noodle is too soft and broken into small pieces when served. It could do better with rice noodles for pho. Overall, the price is reasonable here - $14-$16 and egg rolls/ spring rolls appetizers are under $10. read more

Food: Ordered the Combo Beef Pho and the Crab Meat Tomato Noodle Soup. The beef soup was super salty, there was barely any meat in the bowl, only 5 slices of rare beef and 3 beef balls. I asked for the rare beef slices to be put on the side and they told me it's an extra $2.50 fee. I never heard of other places ever charing me to have my rare beef slices put on the side, it already came with my dish so why am I getting charge extra for it?! Utensils: Everything is served in plastic here except for the chopsticks which is wooden. If you're a health cautious like myself, I would not be coming back here especially having to use everything (including their teapots) in plastic. It is a small cafe with three large table and four two person tables. Customer service is great. The food came out fast. The Crab Meat Tomato Rice Noodle was so flavorful. You can see the real crab meat in it. The Five Spice Chicken with Garlic Noodle is so tasty. You can taste the real garlic (a lot of garlic) and well balanced oil and salt, but the portion of garlic noodle is so small. Not worth $15. :( read more

Staff: Lily always greets us with a smile and is very welcoming. Food: we ordered the following: Fresh shrimp roll - love, love that the shrimps are huge and we get shrimp w every bite. Noodles are just right and not overwhelming. The peanut sauce is delicious, not too salty, not too thick or thin. It has just the right consistency. #1 - pho with no tripe. This is a fave of my sis and my daughter. They both got large and shared with two kids. #6 - five spice chicken regular size. This is one of my fave and my cousin actually ended up ordering one too. The chicken is marinated just right and it's not salty. The soul is not overwhelmed with too much noodles but definitely sufficient. I always have leftover for dinner or next day. My brother-in-law ordered 3 sandwiches. Pork, BBQ Pork and Egg. He was told that they added pork pate on the sandwiches w the mayo combo which was unique. Good Pho in Daly City? Heck yeah! Huge shoutout to this new place right across the lane from Classic Bowl in Daly City. I wasn't planning on writing about it, but the service combined with the food was really good! The pho was hearty and flavorful. In fact, it even beat a few of the San Jose places I've been to. It's better than what's left near Westborough and very closely beats the place that used to be where the Mercedes dealer is now. The ambiance is good, though the booth seating was designed a bit far from the table. Service is friendly and welcoming and just the right amount of attention. The quality and execution of the food is good. Tasty spring rolls, flavorful #1 pho, decent laksa, and the bbq plate was good. This place is really cute. They had my favorite soup Laksa. The broth is fresh and creamy. The shrimp came pealed and lots of fish balls and fish cake. The condensed milk iced coffee of course was strong and hit the spot. The two workers, husband and wife I think, were really sweet. read more

Went here a couple weeks ago craving some warm since it was a cold day. We got seated the waiter was really nice. I got a Bun Bo Hue and my girlfriend got a vermicelli salad. I also got a garlic noodles with five spice chicken to go. My thoughts on the Bun Bo Hue. The Bun Bo Hue was a little dissapointing it different was warm and had the spice, but the flavor was that strong. The noodles was disappointing since it was smaller and softer than I usually have it. The Vermicelli Salad was good it came with pork. It was pretty refreshing and was a good contrast to the Bun Bo Hue. Me and my girlfriend liked it. And she said the sauce was amazing. The Garlic noodles on the other hand was pretty bad. The noodles weren't al dente the flavor wasn't that great either. And the chicken didn't have much of a good flavor to it. Overall I wouldn't go again. Maybe this is the new place for the area for Vietnamese food since I have not noticed it before. It's literally across from the bowling place that has been there for years. It was fairly quite in the restaurant upon arrival. There was only another couple inside. Therefore, we were sat fairly quickly. Menu items were pretty standard. One thing caught our attention was the five spices chicken spring rolls. On their menu, both fried spring rolls and five spices chicken rolls had the same price for the same amount on the appetizers menu. With this in place, we asked if it was possible to replace the garlic noodles with spring rolls to give spices chicken roll. The answer was, there would be additional charge. We didn't understand the concept. The garlic noodles were overcooked. The five spices chicken was okay but we have had better. The crab paste noodle soup tasted slightly different, not the better one that I have had neither. I've only had two things from here but it was so good it led me to write this review ASAP. I'm not feeling too well so I really wanted some soup. I really wanted some Bun Rieu and they had it here! They also had Banh Mi's and I've been craving that for a while too. I called them for pick up and they said 15 minutes. It took me some time to get there but my order was ready as soon as I arrived. I was so hungry, I snuck a few bites of the Banh Mi. Combination Pork & Pate Banh Mi (4.5/5) - SOFT BREAD! I love when the bread is soft and not so hard that it hurts the roof of my mouth. Soft when you squish it but still crunchy and crumby when you bite into it. The pate and the homemade mayo were perfect! It was practically oozing out of the sandwich. There were a ton of pickled carrots and daikon which balanced out the saltiness of the meats. The only thing that was missing would be some jalapenos! This will be my go-to spot whenever I'm craving a Banh Mi. Bun Rieu/ Crab Meat and Tomato Rice Noodle Soup (4.5/5) - Overall, the taste is quite different from my mom's homemade Bun Rieu and compared to Ben Tre. When I saw different, I meant a good way though. My to-go order included some shrimp paste and I added it to my soup when I warmed it up. Oh boy, did it add some extra UMAMI! Without the shrimp paste, the soup might have been a bit bland. I recommend adding shrimp paste if it needs a little extra salty/umami kick. The crab meatballs were soft and immediately fell apart when I bit into them. It also had shreds of crab meat! The tofu they put is way better than the tofu puffs I usually have with it. The pork blood cubes were a bit flavorless and way too overcooked. I have to say, the flavors and ingredients were unique. It really satisfied my cravings and I'll definitely order again in the future! There are a few more items I'd love to try and if they're just as good, I'd change this review to 5 stars! read more

We were not disappointed, the Vietnamese coffee was a little too strong for me but the owner was kind enough to fix the taste to my liking.
