1. I wanted a mango iced tea. They have the mango syrup for the mango green tea but I just wanted the iced tea with mango flavor and they didn't wanted to make it for me. Not even me wanting to pay more. 2. Ordered rare steak, tripe and tendon pho. Barely any rare steak and no tripe or tendon. They took the plate and remade it. This time they just add a very tiny amount of tendon and tripe. The broth was VERY SALTY and clear, no beef flavor at all. The broth looked and tasted like chicken stock out of a box. I was really hoping by all the positive reviews that this place would be good. Well....it was edible. My husband ordered pho...doesn't matter which one. It had beef and other things like tripe (the crazy limey likes that kind of stuff). I tried the broth because to me that's the heart and soul of pho. Never mind that I'm no expert and just don't care for it....mainly because I don't see what all the fuss is about. And probably because I haven't had a *good* one yet. This one definitely rates low in our opinions (hubby knows more about pho and he said it was so-so). The broth was weak so that's as far as I got. I ordered the vermicelli with "grilled" beef. Pretty sure they just wrote those grill marks on the thin slices of tasteless beef with a Sharpie. The rice noodles were mushy and too thick for my taste but the extras (cucumber, lettuce, and shredded carrots) were fresh enough. But I didn't pay $8.50 for a little pile of veggies. Overall it was merely ok but I would never order it again. Or probably anything there again, really. Well, I did enjoy the lavender milk tea boba, but even though the restaurant is only about a mile from our house it just isn't worth the effort to go back. This place is excellent. There is a wide variety of items on the menu, and everything is fresh, delicious and comes hot to your table. The service is fast and very efficient. I have been here several times but I will not go back. The portion sizes keep shrinking every time. When you order to go pho they charge extra and only fill the broth container about 2/3 full. So I started to order just broth in addition tomy pho order. This worked for a few months but last night they decided to give me just one container and they didn't even fill it!! So now I paid $9 for what should be the standard order. They refused to give me the amount of broth I had paid for. Really? Aren't we talking about a product that is 80% water and you have to be THAT stingy?? You lost a good customer last night!! read more

This place is decent for a pho place but I really like their service. They are very welcoming and are very attentive. Their food is good too. I have had their veggie pho, chicken pho, spring rolls and their lettuce wraps ( all at different times ofcourse) but each of these items were executed well and were delicious. I am so happy we now have a pho place nearby!!!So this place was yummy but not excellent !! The spring rolls were mostly chopped lettuce and noddles.... Hardly any vegetables or herbs .... This was a very mediocre spring roll although still ok bc what was in was fresh. The sauce was out of jar or can... You need to make your spring roll sauce if you tell people your spring rolls are great! The pho was good. The vegetarian broth had not enough spices such as turmeric and other Vietnamese spices. If it had this it would have been excellent! Overall very good! The service was great and at the end the waiter came over and asked how they could even improve the food! So with this kind of service and asking opions I look forward to this place going from very good to excellent very soon! Owner please be reading this we really want you to stay in the neighborhood! My brother and I came here for lunch to try it out. I got the large #1 , my brother got regular #1, and its like more soup for me, but portion look the same for extra $1. The thai tea was spot on, eventho it was prepared like boba tea. It was a clean place with tables and booth plus 2 flat screen tv. If you had good pho before, right off the bat after my first tasting the broth, It felt water down or they didn't let it stand in the pot long enough, or it came from a can. I won't be recommending this to any of my friends and family because we have all had great home made pho and this place doesn't even come close. read more

Soup is good but oily. On their menu they have korean kalbi and after trying it's actually mixed with korean kalbi sauce and american sweet barbecue sauce. Nasty. Other than that it's alright. read more

The owner/manager is far too enthusiastic and tries too hard to be your best friend. So loud. It was impossible to order because he spent so much time explaining the restaurant, how new it was, the size of the lunch crowd. Very enthusiastic. I came for the food. Don't need a new best friend. The food was OK, nothing exciting and certainly not even close to the Vietnamese restaurants off Pioneer in Arlington. I ordered the Pho and it was kind of bland. Had to ask for the fish sauce as none was at the table. Took a long time to get it and then just a tiny dish full. They seem to have fish sauce confused with the sweet spicy sauce for the spring rolls. The manager kept calling it fish sauce, which confused everyone at the table. I'll have to go back again and reevaluate. The one thing it has going for it is proximity. If the food was better, and manager would back off a little, who would drive to Arlington ? But, it is NOT an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, not by any stretch of imagination. read more

Best pho I've had in the mid cities, and up with the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned broth. The Banh Mi sandwich was delicious with fresh ingredients and a perfectly crunchy French bread. The restaurant was very clean, and the service was much better than family owned pho places tend to have. read more

Food was good and very reasonably priced. Found that the pho soup was good, but didn't have as much flavor as I've had at other places. Also didn't have a lot of meat. This is a hidden gem in a shopping strip! The cafe is clean and welcoming. The staff is by far the friendliest I have come across at a Vietnamese restaurants. They fresh spring rolls are made fresh and they don't mind customizing your order. We had the pho and the broth was rich and deliciously hot! The noodles are plentiful and not all clumped at the bottom of the bowl. Oh and they have a great dine in pho special and regular size bowl (which is huge) for only 4.95.. Score!! They charge you for food you don't order, then refuse to correct the bill! My husband ordered the House Special Vermicelli for $11. On the menu it says in the Vermicelli section "You can add egg roll for $1.50," and so he asked that an egg roll be added to his House Special Vermicelli bowl. When the bill came, they had charged him $3 extra (not $1.50) for the egg roll. He asked them to correct this and the man at the front refused to correct the bill since "he didn't take the original order." (Our order was taken by the woman who appears to be one of the owners. She did not write anything down, and also asked us to repeat what we wanted two times.) Unfortunately, my husband chose not to argue about the $1.50 overcharge, and paid it. We will not return to this restaurant, and urge anyone who does to review their bill carefully. read more

This is the absolute worst Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been to in the 28 years I have lived. When we arrived, there was only one table there. Three out of 5 of us ordered pho and we all agreed it was extremely disappointing. The noodles were all broken and it didn't come with much meat. The broth was a bit on the bland side and for the portion we were given, the price was not worth it - especially when you can go to Pho Pasteur and get a bigger bowl with more fillings and richer broth for the same price. My cousin visiting ordered a rice bowl. Traditionally, the rice bowl comes with some lettuce, sometimes tomatoes, but always comes with pickled daikon and carrots. Well, it does at every other restaurant except for this one. The picture of the dish she ordered, HAS all of this stuff on it. So when we asked for the "rest" of the items, she rolled her eyes, went to the back and brought back two pieces of lettuce and some tomatoes. When we asked about the daikon and carrots, she said "your order doesn't come with it." Then why does it show it on the picture? What kind of Vietnamese restaurant is this?!
