This location is always super friendly , has fast food preparation, and overall great customer service. I went with the Northern style It is packed with flavor and hits the spot every time. If you are looking for Pho, look no further than Pho Flavor. You will not be disappointed. The ambiance is chic and simple ! Great small business vibe , where they aim to please. Super clean with a fair amount of indoor seating.

We came on a Saturday evening, not too busy and we were able to get a parking space right away. Took our order right away, got pur pho a few minutes after ordering. Our appetizer & rest of order came a little longer. The restaurant has a modern look, wish they played background music because we can hear everyone's conversation. There were only 2 waiters, it takes awhile to get their attention. There 2 different broth style, Southern (lighter broth) & Northern (heavier & rich broth) Both are flavorful.

Recommended by a friend- what a find!! a small restaurant with a cute homestyle vibe. Super friendly and helpful. Love the fact they give you a small vase with basil to propagate and grow at home. I can't wait to put it in my garden! The food was fantastic. The presentation was what you would find in a fancy restaurant. The stirfry was beautiful and delicious. The egg rolls and pho were equally delicious! As good as any of the best Vietnamese restaurants and the price is right! We will definitely be back - so excited to have found this little restaurant!! Just off of the 405 and Brookhurst near Mile Square Park.

For the prices they have, I wasn't sure what to expect. Even if they priced their food 30 dollars for a bowl of pho, I would be okay with it. But for less than 16 dollars??? You get phenomenal service, you get the kindest staff, you get delicious jaw dropping pho, with beautiful presentation. This whole place is perfect and no criticism is welcome. I love how intentional they are, you can genuinely tell they love what they do. The place was amazingly clean and even the bathroom was perfect. It has a bidet!! What's not to love??? I'd come across state lines for this place, new go to forever!!

The most notable thing about Pho Flavor is that they serve both Northern and Southern styles of pho and the special stacked servingware for the pho. Quite honestly, we cannot differentiate between the two styles at all. They taste identical. The restaurant is extremely generous with the beef in the pho, to the point where we leave some behind because it is too much. The egg rolls are very good as well, with a pork and shrimp mixture. They are really tiny, like lumpia. The pickled daikon and carrot that accompany the egg rolls are very tasty, but I do miss the lettuce and herb wraps. They also serve the herbs in a little vase that you can take home and "adopt" the herbs.

I had the Pho Tai with northern style broth & flat noodles Robust and complex broth; springy, living noodles, tons of steak, and (free) side of white onions = perfection

Pho Flavor is a reliable spot for comforting pho, and I love that they offer both Northern and Southern styles. The dining room is simple and clean, and service moves quickly even when they're busy like many pho restaurants. They serve the pho in really eye-catching, R2D2-like bowls that make each bowl look extra inviting. The Northern-style pho here stays true to its roots with the extra rich and bold taste. The Southern-style is more savory and slightly sweeter, served with the full platter of herbs, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and sauces so you can customize the flavor. Broth quality is the star, making every bowl delicious and body warming. The brisket and rare steak are solid picks, and the spring rolls are fresh. Prices are reasonable and parking in the plaza is convenient. If you want to compare regional styles or just want reliable, tasty pho in OC, Pho Flavor is a top choice in the area.

Very fancy pho spot. First time being asked if I wanted the Northern Pho or the Southern Pho? I didn't even know that was a thing lol. Then they asked me what type of noodles I wanted. Okay so I eat pho once a week, and go to different restaurants to try their Pho. This place really took me out of the ordinary. Even the special pho dish was fancy. I really enjoyed the experience.

No shortage of good pho in OC Great eggrose but small Got the northern pho which I think I prefer over southern but can't go wrong either

Decor is lighter colors, gray, white, some black, given the online menu you wouldn't think Pho Flavor is as "elegant" or "upscale" as it seems. Didn't think it was a full service sit down restaurant but here we are. The plating style is also "extravagant" with the tripe stack of sauces, herbs, and soup. Interesting and unique. Ordered pho #4 Northern style. Broth was richer and almost creamier than the clear Southern style. Noodles are definitely thicker but dare I say mushier than Southern style; not mushy but much softer. Lastly, the green onions are shredded long and also chopped up. The broth had a more pronounced seasoning; cardamom, coriander, star anise, and others you typically associate with pho. The meatballs were a little dense but they were smaller so easy to eat. The brisket was sliced thin and tender. These flavors were enhanced by the addition of liquid aminos, sriracha, hoisin, mint, jalapeno, and Vietnamese basil in particular. The banh quay was fried dough so I dunked them in the broth. They were tender and airy. Didn't really have flavor except for when I dunked them. Service was warm, welcoming, friendly, and conversational. Would definitely return a million times over if I'm ever in Fountain Valley again.

Definitely 5 stars for ambience. The presentation of the pho was phenomenal. Loved the creative stacked bowls of pho with separate compartments for the sauces and toppings. Cute little herbs centerpieces at each table. Great way to combine utility with decor. Lots of pho options to try and appreciate the distinction between northern and southern styles. I opted for the Northern style but will try South next time. Quick friendly service.

For those who are on a low carb diet and feel sad because you have to restrict pho from your diet....rejoice because they offer pho keto!!!! It's their basic pho with konjac noodles. I usually bring my own noodles but can go at anytime now. Woohoo!

Do they have an option for the thin noodles? I don't like the thick noodles they offer.

Yes. Servers usually ask if you like thin (dry and "chewy") or thick (fresh and softer) noodles. If not, you tell them what you like. I also like the thin noodles more.

The owner was really friendly and welcoming, and when I mentioned how the Bún Mắm tasted, he said he would take it into consideration. I truly want to support small businesses like this, but I hope they improve, because there are so many other options in the Bolsa area. The restaurant itself is clean, and the menu has a lot of dishes, but honestly, these two dishes just didn't work for us. Parking in the T&K area can also be tricky on weekends.

I think this place tries to do everything instead of specializing in one thing. Easy seating on a Sunday for lunch. We had a couch and a couple of soft chairs. Not very strong on the coconut or mango taste. The toasted coconut on top was nice though. We ordered the banh xeo tacos, hu tieu (dry), rice porridge with fried donut, and spring rolls. The hu tieu was decent. The noodles could have used more seasoning. The broth on the side was delicious though. I liked the toppings. My son loved slurping the noodles. Same with the rice porridge, though it had more flavor than the hu tieu. The donut in there was pretty good too. The spring rolls were basic. I did like how the carrots inside were pickled and added a bit of tang. The banh xeo tacos were interesting. Nice and crispy. I didn't anticipate all of the mushrooms, but it was good. Definitely needed the sauce. Interesting place to try!

It is kinda pricey but it's definitely something I still dream about and wish they had a location closer to home. I've been here twice, once with my 2 gfs and we ordered 2 towers and an extra meat along with the egg rolls. Another time with my family of 6 where we ordered 3 towers, egg rolls and a rice dish. The rice dish wasn't anything special, fried rice with an over hard egg and lemongrass chicken. The egg should be over easy so it has a runny yolk in my opinion so it was a miss for me. The lemongrass chicken in the rice was the same as the one in the tower we got, good but just ok. I've gotten the lemongrass pork before and thought that was just ok too. The crispy pork belly rice sheet tower is where it's at. You get veggies, crispy onions and fish sauce. Def ask for more fish sauce cause it was delish. I always have to ask for it with no chili cause the chili comes standard. The egg rolls are a miss so pass on those. Plus it only comes with four which is kinda sad. 6 would be better.
