    House special

So I came here on the weekend of Banh Cuon Thanh Tri grand opening week. Came in at 4:00 pm and secured a seat quickly. The young gal working on refilling sauces on the tables acknowledged me sitting there. I asked her if I can order please, she said yes. Then 25-30 minutes went by, nobody came to take my order nor acknowledged my presence. I finally had to get their attention and asked again if I can order because I know the restaurant closed at 5:00 pm. The cashier, whom I believe is either the owner of that new location (or a family member of the owner - because I know the owner at their other location, I talked to her all the times) proceeded to tell me, sorry we no longer serve since we have nothing left to serve. Huh? Say what, I've been sitting here the whole time and seeing you serving other tables but me. He insisted that they have no more foods to serve and will be closing in less than 30 minutes. Really pissed me off. He could have told me 35 minutes ago and I would have left to go to another restaurant. I wasn't going to ever come back to this location again but was buying foods next door the following weekend so I walked in here trying again. Foods: ordered house special as usual. Everything tasted as good as their other location in Garden Grove. Rice rolls portion was much less than another Banh Cuốn place that I frequent but everything else is about the same. It appeared that they did one roll of each type, then cut them in fourth. It was delicious though, rolls, toppings, fried crispy shallots, and even the sauce! Yeah, would have been 5/5 if not because of the incident from the weekend before. Service was good on the second visit. That same young gal refilling the sauces and replenished the tables was very polite and respectful. I know the owner trained them well because I overheard her talking to other employees at the GG restaurant all the times. Indeed, my sisters and their families eat at the GG location at least a few times a month. What's funny was, in the most recent YouTube I watched about restaurants reviews, I saw my sister being videotaped waiting with her friends outside of the GG restaurant restaurant. She wasn't aware of it and was totally surprised when I sent her the clip. Ha ha

Brand new spot! Since their Banh Cuon is delicious, they expanded to a central location. While accessibility is great, parking can be nasty at this busy shopping strip. I would highly encourage you to be mindful of peak hours and carpool. Inside, you will see higher ceiling, open space. If anything, that could easily turn into a second story to open up more tables. I'll let them figure that out. Food wise, if you never had steam rice rolls before, they are good. There are several variations and iterations of this to choose from. Check out the pics and you'll get an ideal (pork, shrimp, beef, or egg even). You control the sauce level to your liking. It's accompanied by steam sprouts and cucumbers which lifts the plate a bit. Egg roll is always welcomed with these dishes. Swing by to try one of Vietnams staple dishes. It's delicious!

Banh cuon thanh tri is my favorite banh cuon spot, so when i heard they finally open with 20% off for the first 3 days, I had to come check it out and support. Came on a Sunday morning around 840am, the wait list was about about 10+ deep, waited about 30-40 minutes before our table were called. After we ordered, took about another 20 minutes for our food to come out. My go to order is the banh cuon dac biet #8, Im not a fan of the egg in the banh cuon, I prefer the regular banh cuon. The banh cuon was good, but didn't quite taste the same as the OG location. Its too be expected since they just open, new staff, short on staff, and with the 20% promotions going on, they were slammed with dine in orders and togo/phone orders. Ill definitely try this location again once everything settles down.

Went this New location last time, couldn't find the parking. This time check in right on week day ( close to me , no need driving far to Garage Grove) Their Bánh cuốn, noodle all good taste , we enjoyed it and the service was nice

The tables are placed close together, leaving narrow walkways for both customers and servers.

Today my wife and I visited the new Bánh Cuốn Thanh Trì restaurant. This is one of the newest Vietnamese restaurants to open in the area. I understand that many people have already posted positive reviews, and I respect that everyone has their own opinion. This review is simply based on my personal experience during today's visit. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping plaza where the parking lot is shared with other businesses. Finding a parking space was difficult, especially during lunchtime. The restaurant has a clean, modern appearance, but the dining area feels overcrowded. As you can see in my photos, the tables are placed much too close together, leaving very little elbow room or privacy. It is difficult to walk between tables, and the overall dining experience feels cramped. Another issue was the temperature inside the restaurant. The two air conditioning units were not working properly, so the front entrance doors were left open to let outside air circulate. Unfortunately, this did little to cool the dining room, making it warm and uncomfortable while dining. The food was fresh, but the taste was only average. Nothing really stood out. The bánh cuốn was okay, and the egg rolls were crispy, but they had absorbed too much oil and tasted greasy. The service was disappointing. After I wrote my name on the waiting list, the hostess skipped over my name and called the next party instead. Fortunately, I was standing nearby and spoke up, and only then was I given the next available table. A better system for managing the waiting list would greatly improve the customer experience. Another concern was the restroom. There is only one restroom for all customers, which is very inconvenient during busy hours. During my visit, it was untidy, with toilet paper scattered on the floor and the trash can overflowing. In my opinion, the restroom is one of the most important parts of any restaurant. It reflects how much management values cleanliness and the overall customer experience. When the restroom is not properly maintained, it gives customers the impression that customer service and attention to detail are not a high priority. For a newly opened restaurant, I expected much better restroom maintenance. I know many people may have had a different experience, and that's perfectly fine. However, the photos I attached speak for themselves. A picture is worth a thousand words. They accurately show the crowded dining room, the tables placed too close together, the condition of the restroom, and the overall environment during my visit. I always try to write honest, objective reviews based on what I actually experience, and I let the photos support my comments rather than exaggerating them. I hope management takes this review as constructive feedback. Repairing the air conditioning, improving restroom maintenance, spacing the tables farther apart, providing better organization for the waiting list, and improving the overall customer experience would make a significant difference. Every new restaurant deserves an opportunity to succeed, and I genuinely hope this one does. With attention to these issues, I believe it has the potential to become a much better place to dine.

Came here on the grand opening of their 2nd location on Bolsa Blvd in Westminster, right next to Wells Fargo. The restaurant is brand new, so everything is spotless, clean, and well organized. The décor is simple and very similar to their original location. The food is just as good as the first location, and I have a feeling this place is going to be packed once more people discover it. Since it was opening day and everything was made fresh to order, our food took about 15-20 minutes, which was totally reasonable. The highlight of our visit was the service. Our waitress, Vy (I think that was her name), was incredibly kind and kept apologizing for the short wait, even though we didn't mind at all. Her friendly attitude and genuine care made the experience even better. Food: 4.75 star Service: Infinity stars Parking: Plenty of parking is available, although the lot gets busy. There are 20-minute parking signs, but they're fine for customers dining at the restaurants, so we had no issues.

Bánh cuốn trứng đặc biệt & bánh canh tôm cua

We stopped by a week after the grand opening, once the 20% promotion had ended because line too long. It was still busy, but much more manageable, and we finally got a chance to enjoy our favorite dishes: bánh cuốn trứng and bánh canh đặc biệt. The bánh canh may not be the best in town, but it's definitely competitive in both flavor and quality. As for the bánh cuốn, there's not much to say--it's just as consistently delicious as the other locations, which is exactly what we were hoping for. The only downside was that it felt a little hot inside. The high ceiling makes it difficult for the air conditioning to keep the dining area cool, especially when the restaurant is full. I'd personally rate it 4.5 stars, but the free nước mát is always good. That little extra earns them a well-deserved 5 stars from us

Hands down one of the best spots for banh cuon. I got the combination plate, and it was so satisfying. The rice rolls were fresh and soft, and the plate comes with a great mix of everything--crispy egg rolls, crunchy fried shrimp cake, savory chả, and fresh herbs with bean sprouts. The dipping sauce was the real star--perfectly balanced sweet and savory with a nice kick of chili. Portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the service was quick. Definitely coming back whenever I'm craving a good spot!

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!
