This review is for the pho tai nam. I actually picked up food from here through the Too Good To Go app, which if you don't use, sells extra food from a bunch of different restaurants, usually at the end of the day, at a discount price. I got on the app the day before and reserved a meal for the following day. They give you a window of time to come pick up your food. I don't live too far away, so I walked over. It was not too busy on an early weekday evening. I showed them my order and they asked to give them 10 minutes. 5 minutes later, I was handed my food. With the app, you don't know exactly what you're going to get. Since it's a pho restaurant, it's not too hard to guess. I got pho tai nam, which is pho with rare beef and the brisket/cooked beef. I'll eat pretty much any version of pho so this was right up my alley. It was pretty solid - rice noodles, broth, meats and then the herbs/veggies. And I got the enjoy it for less than half the price of a normal bowl. I would totally consider eating here to try some other things on their menu. But yeah, I'm definitely ordering through the app again. Just fyi, they only have limited meals dauly and it sells out quickly. read more

We initially came here for the free milk tea with any purchase promotion they had. The employee stated that they had run out of milk tea for the night which we were bummed about. However, a woman who I'm assuming is the owner, offered to give us one of their speciality drinks instead which was very generous. We got their popcorn chicken (spicy) and a thai green milk tea (they ran out of boba). The restaurant is well lit and there were 3 other parties besides us. It appeared to have the same decor as the previous boba shop before. I think it would be better if they changed the wall color to something more neutral and have a podium stand in the front so customers can wait to be seated. I really appreciate not only the broth flavor, but the bowl came out piping hot which I really liked vs other locations luke warm. I wished I would have been given more herbs and sprouts though. Tried Pho Garlic for the first time. We live in the neighborhood and try to support our local eatery's. The service was great, very attentive and friendly. We ordered the raw steak and ox tail phos. The broth is outstanding , which I think what makes or breaks pho. The fresh noodles were great. But, they fell short on the volume of noodles given in both bowls. We eat at several Pho eatery's in our area and beyond, so we know the difference. There is a lot of competition in San Jose and we want to come back, but they have to provide more noodles. read more
