Ate with my mom for dinner today. I have been frequenting this pho place forever. I have not been to this place in a long time, so i was excited to come here today. The cha dol pho was delicous and the fried pork rice was good too. But i want to talk about the service. . The service was so BAD!!! I mean, i asked for a free thai ice tea and the lady was like 'you have to order the main dish. Then i give you your thai ice tea.' Couldn't she have said that in a nicer way?? I felt so disppointed and uncomfortable. I'm there to eat pho, so i will order pho of course. MAYBE give your customer the FREE thai ice tea first and dont worry, because i will order more food, and not just drink the free ice tea. Sheesh! And when i ordered pho, she then brought my ice tea, as if i earned my ticket for the free ice tea. Oh my goodness... And the lady and the part timer girl was so slow. My mom and me, we are two people. Maybe you can use some judgement and bring one more spoon when you bring the fried rice. Just a little suggestion. . Im not done yet. I saw that one customer togoed the free thai ice tea. So i wanted to do that too. I asked if that was possible. And the part timer just stared at me for 5 seconds, and said: 'I can do that at extra charge.' I said 'then never mind.' She could have brought out an empty paper cup so that i can just take the left over thai ice tea!! Is that so hard? They will throw away the left over thai ice tea for sanitary reasons anyways. Her staring at me made me so awkward and feel terrible for asking the question. . I had a terrible terrible experience. The food was delicious. But in food places, i belive that good service is equal to good food. If the service is terrible, then the customer's experience can be made terrible despite the good food. . There are many franchise places like mcDonalds with better service with friendly employees, and i would rather go there, than to be treated like this. read more

I tried this place last night for the first time (because I had a pho craving later in the evening, and the place I usually go to was already closed) and had high hopes. We were seated and the staff seemed friendly. They brought us some waters, onions, basil, etc for the table. As we were looking over the menu, I noticed a funky smell. It was coming from the onions...they smelled completely rancid. After I ordered, I asked one of the servers if we could get some fresh ones because they smelled strange, and she brought some to us. However, the new plate she brought out (or who knows, maybe it was the same plate) still smelled spoiled. It was a pretty big turn off. I ordered the "rare" brisket pho and have had brisket at many other places before. I know it is a bit fattier than other cuts of meat, but what was in my bowl was just gross. It was almost all fat. At first I thought it was tripe. It also was fully cooked, not rare, and it already had the smelly onions in the soup (which most other places let you add yourself). I asked the waitress about it and she said it was brisket, and it's always that fatty. Sensing my trepidation, she offered to change it out for the steak which was lean. I appreciated her willingness to accommodate me, and that is where the 2 stars come from. I got the new bowl of soup, and ate it. It was alright, aside from having to pick out the gross onions which tasted even worse than they smelled. They definitely tasted spoiled...either that, or maybe it's some weird kind of onion I've never had before. This is one of my favorite pho place in town I would definitely recommend vermicelli noodles it's so good not to mention that also give free Thai tea. Also the portions here are huge and delicious. I was in the mood for pho and this place was the right location, so I stopped by to get something to go. The people were nice and helpful and very pleasant and the place was nice and clean, which was a nice departure from the pho places in the Gardena area. I ordered a large combo and spring rolls and was on my way. The spring rolls were standard, but nice and tasty. Definitely freshly made since the rice paper stuff was moist and wasn't drying out. The pho was an interesting experience, at least as a to-go order. I got a container with the broth, a container with the noodles and meat and green onions, a bag of onions, and a bag of the stuff you put in (basil, cilantro, lime, jalapenos). Kind of do-it-yourself, which was cool. First mistake I made: trying to put the stuff in the container with broth. No way in hell was it going to fit. Next time I need to remember to use a small mixing bowl, then it'll be perfect. The pho was delicious! It had plenty of meat, a nice and tasty brother, lots of noodles. They even gave me a cup of hot sauce to dump in! Which was awesome because I seemed to have lost my Sriracha.... Anyway, it was awesome pho at a decent price and I will definitely be back. read more

PHO-To. I love picture menus. And they have them ALL over this place. The Pho soup isn't too greasy/oily as some of the other places in the area. I like how they anticipate the Korean palette and serve a plate of raw onion slices along with the usual set up of sprouts & leaves. This place is actually a 3.5 But because it has the best pho, i have to round up the star to raise its awareness. FOOD: 5 AMBIENCE: 2.5 SERVICE: 3.5 PRICE: 4 I've been to quite a few pho places, and this place has THE best tasting broth, good quality beef, and great eggrolls. Plus, despite how busy they are, I've never had to wait! As for the service.. well they aren't rude. But don't expect them to check up on you and your half empty glass of water. After not having Pho in a really long time, I went here to eat. On this visit I didn't have a good experience. The soup was warm and not served to me hot. And the soup base was lacking more flavor. It tasted very light and watery, and the noodles were kind of hard. Which wasn't the reason for choosing this place. Almost every visit I had here the food was always good, and the service was also outstanding. The only good thing out of the entire noodle bowl this time was the meat. My usual to go Pho House. They never let me down. Their hours of operations state they open at 7:00AM how ever it's 6:45AM and the employees/cooks/chefs clearly see I'm in desperate need. I am fighting this cold from hell. As usual you choose where to sit unless you have a large party and that's usually seated in the center of the restaurant. As I sit and get comfortable the waitress immediately brings my hot jasmine tea and sugar. Suggested marrow broth based pho instead of the norm (not bad it helps your immune system) I came in soo ill I couldn't pour my own tea and shivering. I should have been at urgent care and not having pho, lol. My tea was served first, unexpected as I didn't order it, large pho with rare beef and the marrow broth, lots of freshly squeezed lime juice, cilantro, fresh jalapeño pepper and a few squeezes of Siracha sauce. They could tell I was beyond exhausted and needed this meal. I have been here before multiple times and ordered several items but this experience is cake. As a business establishment to be soo caring and focused on a frequent diner. I was AMAZED. Get this--I never ordered the to go soup or tea. It didn't dawn on me. I go pay. "You pay for the tax ok" they gave me two meals basically for free! dazed and confused. I leave a $30 at least, right? They serviced my order before operating business hours sand gives me a to-go order, too. The little lady at the register yelled at me. "Me no take! You go! You leave feel better come back" Yelpers it's 7:05AM and I'm already getting into the fetal position(this pho house is up the street from us. 2 minute drive) after this delicious spread and golden treatment. Is it the real deal? No. It's Korean owned imitation of Vietnamese noodles. But 3 reasons why I love this place. 1.Good/ Fast Service 2.Hot Tasty Soup 3. i was a little hesitant to try a Korean Pho place... but my friend insist they are good, and the sound of Oxtail Pho does sound highly seductive. FYI, i love Korean style oxtail soup, and i love pho.. unfortunately, putting the 2 together here failed miserabley. To be fair, the oxtail meat still tasted it okay, a very clean taste, meat falls right off the bone. The pho soup on the other hand, had little taste... somehow, even the Sriracha hot sauce tasted a bit off... i wonder if it was a Korean version??? I only go to this place out of convenience and not preference. Personally, I like Vietnamese pho but if my mom and I crave pho after church than we go here. If you are looking for authentic pho, this is not the place... but their pho is ok. I guess this is a Korean version of pho. I get the brisket... I think next time I go I'll try a different one because every time I get it, is mostly pieces of fat and little meat. The broth is different from the Vietnamese, it's lighter and not as oily as Vietnamese pho. Service here is not that bad, they're quick and bring items requested right away. They open pretty late - they close around midnight-ish maybe later. Again, everything is a preference, if I really want pho, I go to Garden Grove/Westminister, but if it just for a quick stop for pho then I guess it would have to be here, because it's 10 mins away from where I live. read more

Note before you start reading: I LOVE pho. I've had pho at a multitude of places across the country, from Cali to Vegas to NY, so it's not like I have a small sample size to compare this restaurant to. The broth I had was mediocre at best, but the noodles and meat were well cooked. I did have an egg roll as well, and it tasted like it was supposed to. I initially recommended another pho place (Pho Tay Bac in Brea), and I regret not going there instead. All in all, it wasn't BAD pho, but it also wasn't great. I dig the name of this restaurant. If you like pho in general, you might like this restaurant. There is a huge variety and pictures on the wall. I've had pho in many places, and while I will say the pho here may not be as flavorful and as authentic, it's still pretty satisfactory. It's more of a Korean-style pho, I suppose. The interior is big, so a group of 6-7 should fit fine. The food is fairly cheap, around $7 or so. The portions are sizeable. There is plenty of parking. As mentioned, the menu is extensive, including various rice and meat combo dishes. Some of my friends prefer the fried rice with shrimp. A good place to go if you have a big group--the selections should have something for somebody. If you are picky about authentic pho, this may not be your cup of tea...or your bowl of pho. read more

Alright, so I usually don't like Pho. I've been to a couple places where the texture of the noodles are funky (ex. It as the texture of sandpaper) or they put way too much MSG in the soup base that I start having heart palpitations. I discovered this place through my boyfriend (as it has been for a while now lol). He took me there once to get some pho and it's Korean run so I feel like they tailor it to the Korean taste buds. Anyways, we had pho and the donkatsu and omg...both were super delicious. The service is quick whether it's for dining in or take out. Even if they are busy, take out usually comes out fairly quickly surprisingly. They have really good spring rolls as well (this I don't really recommend ordering out cause it gets a little chewy if you're driving for ~30 mins). We've definitely been back for more if we get cravings. I recently had some pho since I'm feeling a little sickly and the warm pho broth helped my throat so much. So good. Totally recommend to all my friends and family. It's so Pho-king good! (sorry I had to lol). read more

PHO!!!! SOUP FOR THE SOUL. =) Located in a small square you wouldn't think that a place like this would hold such good food. But then again the best restaurants are the ones that are hidden and non mainstream. My sister's family and I came here after a long day at Knott's. Can't say much about service, they're a bit quick to give you your bill even if they aren't full and they tend to spill water everywhere on the table and floor when they give your refills. Food is amazing though. 4 stars I'd say. Prices are real decent too. I've been to other pho places and the small order here for pho is practically a large in other establishments. The beef curry was really tender and the rice is out of this world. I swear, they do something to it. The steak for my pho was actually soft and the broth itself very tasty and filling. Go to garden grove for some authentic Vietnamese pho which blows this place out the water! "Pho Lu" for instance. This place wasn't amazing in the first place, but over the years it's getting worse and worse. It's pretty dirty at times and I feel the newly hired old Korean woman needs an attitude check. My bf asked for hot water in English and she misunderstood and brought him ice water. When he politely clarified what he meant she was giving attitude and didn't bother to hide it. I get it you're not working in some top notch restaurant, but no need for that. No one expects quality service at a quick serve pho but try to hide your indignance because it doesn't look good for the restaurant that hired you. Other than that, the pho is mediocre. The high amounts of msg will leave you feeling thirsty as hell for a few hours after. Oh and if you're going to order spring rolls, ask them for fresh ones. I usually eat pho early in the morning and this is the only place open at 7 am so went back here. Ordered pho tai, got what looked like pho tai but it didn't taste like pho tai. It was missing the funk completely. So I ate a bowl of watered down pho tai and left confused and unsatisfied. Probably the pho here reflects the taste preference of the mainly Korean customer base. There are 3 reasons why I've frequented this place more then once: - it's uber close to where I live - it's open 'til midnight - the food comes out uber fast The pho isn't fantastic but it's not bad either: it's made by Koreans for Koreans. p.s. Pho is just pho, so there isn't too much to say about it. Parking lot isn't big, but there seems to always be room. The restaurant isn't large, but I've never had to wait. This is the Pho restaurant to go to when you're in Fullerton. I always get the Pho Tai, their portions are great and broth tastes good as well. Eating it with a side of onions covered with sriricha & oyster sauce is the best :) Plus, you have to drench your pho with lemon.. it's so good. Obviously, it all depends on your own preference, but this is a very good pho restaurant. They are open late too? I don't know exactly what time.. but it's usually open whenever I want to eat it. I've been here for YEARS & it has gotten to the point where I can no longer eat pho anymore because there was a period of time where I've eaten here every weekend. Their pho was never that bad. Their service isn't the greatest. They usually never come by to refill your waters. You have to ring their bells to get anything you want. OH YEAH.
