This is the hand napkins in the bathroom I was talking about, they had them set as toilet paper since they didn't have any in dispenser.

I really do love this place the food is amazing but using the restroom was a disaster.. no proper toilet paper, they had a bag of unopened and a half bag of hand napkins that there were using as toilet paper, mind the same hand napkins for the tables those were small and thin. It felt so degrading using that restroom under these conditions..

This place was close to my house & I had been wanting to try it for a while. It is amazing! Huge portions for great prices. We had egg rolls & potstickers as our appetizers (can't go wrong with those). Right after appetizers were out, so was the food! Everything came out so fast & was still amazing. My boyfriend didn't even get pho, yet his food was still top tier. The General Tso's he got was so crispy & the sauce was immaculate. Plus, the looks of the dishes did not deceive. The restaurant was clean & well maintained. Everything we needed was on the table including chop sticks, napkins, & extra sauces. Waiters/waitresses were very attentive. We had more than one come to our table & check on us multiple times to make sure we were taken care of. Will definitely be coming back!

We have been stopping here for spring rolls on our way through town for YEARS. Today the spring rolls were not great. Barley edible meat (pork) and the lettuce had an off taste. Barely any rice noodle inside. Mostly just rolled lettuce. Hope they go back to the old recipe. Very disappointing.

I've only eaten here for lunch Good freshly made food. Generous portions. I am partial to the pork bun (vermicelli). I didn't order the shrimp spring rolls today but those are great with their peanut sauce Try it.

Best Vietnamese food in Fort Worth, nice atmosphere, and great customer service! Will come back :)))

Saw this as I was searching for an address and had to stop for lunch! I ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls and the flank beef pho. I was surprised that both came out at the same time. It was a little bit of a bummer as I like my pho super hot and by the time I ate the egg rolls, the soup had lost that wonderful heat. The egg rolls were slightly over cooked but edible. I would go for the spring rolls next time. The pho was delicious! Great flavored broth! Flank steak was hard to chew but I guess it is to be expected. I'll have to try a different cut of meat next time or the veggie pho! I will definitely be back! I do recommend overall!

Sesame chicken

Sushi was pretty solid but the sesame and orange Chicken came out stale and dry as if it came from a microwaveable dish. You're better off spending the extra $ on somewhere else.

Excellent Pho! Delicious rolls as well. The vegetable tempura was fantastic. Light crispy on the outside. Great service. Give it a try.

Really cool place. Not too expensive and their pho broth bowl is massive, even the "small" option. Staff was very accommodating.

Their pho is ok. It's unremarkable and bland, though. The sushi was above avg and the entrees were great. Clean, nice atmosphere.

Big win for my fellow veg heads too, there are plenty of customizable options which I always appreciate. That said, both my husband's dish and mine felt a little muted. We were chasing that classic Vietnamese fragrance, a little more salt, a little more spice, and ended up doing some DIY with sriracha and extra jalapeños to get there. It definitely wasn't bad by any means, just not quite hitting that craveable level that brings you back the next day.

My husband always orders the spicy filet mignon pho, and it never disappoints. The broth has a nice kick, and the filet mignon is tender and flavorful. I usually like trying something different each visit aside from the spicy pho, and so far I've enjoyed the curry plate with grilled shrimp, sliced grilled pork, Korean BBQ short ribs, shaken beef, and the beef stew. Every dish we've tried has been satisfying, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. The service is always friendly and quick, even when they're busy. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and a nice place to relax for a casual meal.

While the bahn mi isn't exactly traditional, it is still very good -- I'd highly suggest getting it with the pate. The sampler appetizer has a little bit of everything and is great for sharing. Pineapple fried rice was delicious. Pad Thai also great! If you're a spicy eater like me, just go for very spicy. They have 4 spice levels (mild, medium, spicy, very spicy) and this is a reminder to myself to get very spicy next time. Thanks for the delicious meals!

A quick note on seating: the patio is lovely in theory, with the optional open windows and a breezy feel, but the chairs are not winning any comfort awards. Inside booths are the move. Also worth noting, this is Fort Worth, and once the thermometer hits triple digits, the patio conversation ends itself if the windows are open. Plan accordingly. Malai starts every table with steamed sticky rice and an eggplant dip, which is a charming little ritual and a genuinely good one. We also kicked things off with the Edamame, a heads up on the heat level there, and the Fried Imperial Rolls, filled with ground pork and shrimp and served with a sesame soy sauce. Fair warning: these do not photograph well and arrive at the table looking a little shy. Don't be fooled. They're flavorful, subtly spicy, and well worth ordering. For entrees, we tried the Basil Vegetable Fried Rice two ways, one vegan and one with chicken. The vegan version was a genuine surprise, with vegetables cooked just right and a flavor that didn't need the chicken to make its case. The mushrooms, however, had the texture of something you'd find in a hardware store. Chew at your own risk. The Green Curry, meanwhile, was a case of too much of a good thing. The curry was so heavy-handed it drowned everything underneath it. Sometimes restraint is a virtue. Save room for the Banana Pot de Crème. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a graceful finish to the meal. The service at Malai is enthusiastic, and I do mean enthusiastic. The staff works as a team, all smiles, attentive, always nearby. Occasionally a little too nearby. More than once a plate nearly disappeared before we were done with it. It's a small complaint, and honestly a far better problem than the alternative. They're warm, cheerful, and clearly enjoy what they do, which goes a long way. Portions are generous, so order a few dishes and share the wealth. For a lunch stop between shops, Malai Kitchen punches well above its weight.
