It was our first time at Pho House when we stopped in for dinner. They're located in a strip mall which shares parking with Saigon Market. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we entered on Friday night, which was surprising. When we drove by another Vietnamese restaurant less than a block away, there was a line out the door. I ordered the House Special vermicelli bowl. It had a variety of toppings which I enjoyed. My husband ordered the char broiled pork plate with rice. The pork didn't seem char broiled and was more pan fried without any char. Same with the pork on my bowl. The server was nice. There's a lot of competition with newer Vietnamese restaurants in the South Bay. Glad we got to try this one.

I ordered take out via Doordash. Their price from Doordash is the same as in store so this is the best. It was super convenient to pick up. When I came, the food was ready, and packaged. The packaging is normal, and tight. They double bagged the soup in case of spills. They used a tall, thin cup that perfectly snuggles in my car cup holder, preventing it from tipping over during my driving. The soup was hot and flavorful. There were 3 pcs of short ribs. One of the pcs didn't have enough meat so I would say this is equivalent to 2 pcs in other restaurants whose short ribs are bigger. The staff was nice and friendly when I came to pick up. Overall, the $14.99, I like the price very much. My take out comes with utentils, hoisin, and srirachi. The parking here is huge and ample. Overall I would come back for pho.

There's nothing quite like a comforting bowl of pho and while there are lots of options in the South Bay, few of them stand out like Pho House. I like simple so I typically go with the beef (#2), and iced coffee. Service is always fast and friendly. The couple who are usually there running the place are super sweet. The restaurant itself is clean with indoor and outdoor seating. It's located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. Definitely give this place a try for good pho!

I live in Venice, and have been searching for a great pho spot. Pho House is worth the drive, and we have made it multiple times. My friend always orders the pho combo, and I get the #10 vermicelli bowl. I could honestly eat here nearly every day. If you are in the area, or even if you aren't you should stop by. The staff is awesome, and I love their ice tea and you get free refills. Pho House rule!

My husband and I came here for a casual dinner on a Friday night around 6 pm. Pho House is located in a strip mall in Lawndale, where they have several other Vietnamese businesses and some Peruvian eateries. We were seated immediately when we came in. There were a couple of other diners inside but the restaurant wasn't too busy. I ordered the pho dac biet and my husband had the house special vermicelli. Although they specialize in pho, they still have a good variety of different dishes on the menu including vermicelli and rice dishes. We both enjoyed our food and it was also incredibly cheap. Service was good. The ambiance here is very casual, so it would be a good spot for a quick meal. This place is not far from where we live so we plan to come back whenever we're craving Vietnamese.

It's a great place to eat some good pho even though it's a heat wave right now I had some lol they have fans inside so it wasn't too hot but the pho was delicious I got the beef pho with some Thai tea and both were delicious service is good too staff is nice and prices are good you get a big ol bowl of pho and it has lots of seating too if you wanna eat with friends

We came here on New Year's Day. After being seated, we noticed that there weren't many people working but the place was busy so we were prepared to stay and wait, understanding that they have many orders to fulfill. The service was the best they could do at the time which I appreciate. The food however, was subpar. I read the reviews and brought my parents here since our first choice was closed and had decent expectations which were not met. The noodle dish we ordered came out soggy and mushy with half the noodles cold and half of it warm. It was comparable to badly microwaved leftovers. The pho was okay, with hard noodles and broth lacking flavor. The spring rolls were decent but I wish there was a little more flavor as well. Although reasonable for service to take long as it's a somewhat busy holiday, the food was very disappointing ):

A little mom and pop-type Vietnamese spot tucked away in a small strip mall off of Hawthorne. I came early in the day for a late breakfast. The people were super friendly, smiling and so accommodating. I ordered the Bun Dac Biet (House Special Vermicelli Noodles) which included grilled shrimp, charbroiled pork, egg rolls, bean curd shrimp cake. The beauty about vietnamese food is that it's healthy, light and refreshing, and Pho House made it just right. The meats were all great, but the lettuce, cucumbers, pickled daikon and carrots all tasted so fresh. Major props on the attention to detail with the peanuts and fried shallots (some places would just skimp or neglect these altogether). I also ordered a hot vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. It wasn't the best coffee as there were a few milk curdles (?) after I mixed it, so had to fish those out before drinking it. Otherwise it was okay. All in all, a friendly little vietnamese restaurant with a solid menu of offerings and good food.

First time here great service but I did find a hair in my food! I was so dissatisfied.

Thursday, 10/07/2021 - Tried "Pho House" and it's pretty good. Cute little restaurant. Nice couple serving us. Upon arrival... Pros: 1) lots of parking. 2) you seat yourself. 3) the male cashier was very nice and professional. After giving us our menus, he let us know we can sit at any empty tables. After we sat down, he even came over with a rag to ensure our table was clean. It was already clean. 4) utensils, bowls, cups were clean. 5) water tasted like water. No metal or odd taste. 6) waitress was very nice when she brought us our pho. 7) we got the Pho Ribeye for $9.75 and it was really good. The ribeye was so soft. Love it! 8) it looks like there were only two of them working in the restaurant. Both were busy always doing something. 9) there's only 1 bathroom for men or women. Clean. Cons: 1) none Conclusion: I like this little spot. Service was good, restaurant clean, lots of parking, and food was good. We didn't have any issues here. I recommend it! read more

Tried this place for lunch today after visiting our traditional pho place and realizing it was closed. It was very last minute we decided to come here. Pleasantly surprised there was lots of sitting space both inside and some outside. Staff was very friendly. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, vegetarian egg rolls, shrimp-only fresh rolls and shrimp-only pho soup. Everything was really good! read more

I've eaten here 3 times now and have not been disappointed. The food is always fresh and the broth is some of the best I've tried in the South Bay. Phone orders were always ready in 20 minutes or less. When you consider the quality, value, and service, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Check this place out! read more

Found on yelp and order XL combination beef soup noodle to share with my husband. I would say we could share with more than 3 people!!! The price is only 12.99 and goooood! Soup $8.95 pho dac biet was good broth was tasty and it was a good amount. Would say there could of been more meat. The man ate the pho and was still hungry. We also got the special Vermicelli house noodles $11.99. It was beautiful to look but just ok to eat. The shrimp were big but had the shells on...so annoying that dropped them from a 4 to a 3! I order this dish at a lot of Pho places and never had shrimp with shells. The pork was overcooked. This dish at other places is usually no more than $9 so not sure why this was more. There were not many ways to customize using grubhub so probably better to call and pick up yourself. The thia ice tea was great but $3.25 and no Boba was disappointing. Would go back and get the Pho. *The order was also almost an hour late. Not sure if it this was due to the driver or the restaurant. Driver said food was not ready. This left about five minutes to eat on a lunch break. **nothing to do with the restaurant...Did I mention to skip grubhub my order was $27.44 and with $4.49 deliver + $1.44 service fee + $3.50 driver benefits + $3.78 tax + $6.10 tip (no option to go less) my $27.44 lunch became $46.75. read more

I've been eating here for the past 6 months. This is a casual restaurant located in a strip mall. Nothing fancy but that's alright. The food is always fresh, well prepared, and the restaurant clean. I think what sets this place apart for me is the customer service. It looks like a family run business. I've tried the filet mingon pho, shrimp spring rolls, grilled beef rolls, bun thit nuong, and grilled ribeye. My family really enjoys everything. I think this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in the South Bay. I slightly prefer Pho House over Saigon Dish (which is a 1 minute walk away) and Pho Hue Oi. First time trying this spot. Got delivery but next time will eat in. Packaged soup is a bit tricky, so even if they wrapped plastic container in plastic bags, it leaked out on delivery but wished it was taped shut to ensure safe delivery. Even thai tea drink spilled. Besides all that, Pho Rib eye was delcious, and so were all the egg rolls we ordered. Thai tea good and Iced coffee was good. FYI, if you order delivery for the coffee and make "iced' selection it'll come half a cup of coffee. I figured they were going to add the ice in there like my thai tea, but they didn't. First time seeing that. Initially, I thought it spilled, but only the thai tea was on the bottom of the bag. I'm glad we did find this spot, but lesson learned, eat-in versus delivery. SOO GOOD ! Recently found this place, and now it's our to go pho spot. My boyfriend and I ordered the XL Pho Rib Eye to share which was a good portion since I can never finish my own bowl. We also order the BBQ Beef sandwich which was so delicious !!! Our waiter told us it would take a big longer because they make it fresh which we were totally okay with and after having it, I can say it's worth it. I wish it had a little bit more meat but not a deal breaker for me. Our last item was the beef spring rolls which were also really good, it comes with a peanut sauce. There is a lot of parking since the restaurant is inside a plaza. Service was fast and all of our waiters were super sweet. read more

Had pho, grilled pork rice, pork banh mi, and spring rolls. Spring rolls were not that good. But the other three were very good. My favorite was the broken rice. Very chewy and well cooked rice. Pork was well seasoned as well. Reminded me of eating on the street in Saigon. The total bill for all 4 with til came to just under 35 which is an amazing price for Aug 2023. Definitely recommend. Especially for this area in the south bay. Not as good as GG but if you live in the south bay it's a nice spot read more

If you are in search for a delicious, warm bowl of pho soup, look no further! This soup provided comfort and character in every possible way- sweet, salty, savory, sour, & even a slight bitterness! I ordered a large house special containing round eye beef, brisket, flank meat, tendon, tripe, and beef ball accompanied with limes, Thai basil, jalapeño slices, and bean sprouts. Taking that first sip of that warm broth hit me with an explosion of flavor coming from the meaty-star anise flavor that was not overly spiced nor bland. The addition of hoisin and their house made chili sauce provided a nice kick and slight bitterness to the ever flavorful bowl of pho. The noodles, perfectly cooked and the meat, just the right amount. Bean sprouts and Thai basil added to refresh the palate with every slurp and bite taken from this warming bowl of soup. Chilly or not, this pho is surely a soup to comfort your needs! read more

Went to eat late night, almost as they were closing. Food was very good! Got the house special vermicelli noodles and there shrimp paste appetizer. Staff was friendly and attentive, and food arrived pretty quickly. Would definitely recommend to eat here read more

Practical food, good prices, friendly attentive service. The Pho comes in 2 sizes L and XL with an average price of $12-$14. Egg Rolls are $7 (Shrimp and Pork filling). The Egg Roll skin is made out of Vietnamese Rice paper vs traditional Egg Roll skin which makes it taste better in my opinion. The only improvement this restaurant should consider is offering appetizer plates and more napkins. Other than that, clean and simple dining. read more

Vietnamese coffee was also fantastic - the rocket fuel I needed, and served in a to-go cup which ended up being exactly what I did.

Asking for a tip before service has even been rendered is the most ridiculous thing ever. Alot of places do this and it needs to be changed. Tip after services have been rendered. The workers here at least the 4 that I saw were all extremely young. They looked like they all belong in high school. They were very slow in anything they did. During my whole time here I the resturant the phone kept going off and they ignored it quite a few times. The inside of the resturant nice and clean, no complaints from me. My wife used their bathroom but the door did not lock so I had to stand outside which is annoying and not suitable for any ladies wanting to use the restroom. The food took quite a long time to come out. We sat down for awhile before the appetizers came out. 2 of us got the pho lunch special and it comes with a fried veggie eggroll. It took 15 minutes just to get 2 veggie spring rolls which were fresh and hot. When taking a bite out of them the inside was just mushy veggies and tasted like they were soaked in soy sauce. Then the spring rolls came out and they looked ok. After tasting they were decent. My only complaint about them is there wasn't enough peanut sauce, just a little dish not enough for all of our rolls. My wife ordered the combination fried rice. It came and it looked nice and hot. Upon tasting it for myself it tasted extremely salty. The proteins in it (Chinese sausage,shrimp,chicken) were almost inedible with the exception of the Chinese sausage. The shrimp was extremely over cooked and the chicken was cut thin and wide, like jerky and was just as dry as jerky. My FIL and I ordered the combination pho. The pho was extremely lackluster and was missing some components commonly in combo pho (pho dac biet) it was missing tendon,flank and meatballs (sometimes not always in pho dac biet) The meat to noodle ratio is extremely terrible, had at least 8 bites of noodles left and no more meat. The broth was so bland no flavor at all except for the over abundance of sweetness from the sugar. Being part vietnamese myself I love alot of pho whether its super delicious or just ok. This pho is not even in the "just ok" realm its terrible, its a disgrace to pho everywhere. Even if you are the type to put Hoison/Sriracha in the broth it will not save it. FIL says this place uses to be good but I guess things have changed since his last visit all those years ago. You could pick almost any other pho restaurant and I am 99.99% sure it would be better than here. If you value your time,money, and taste buds please stay clear of this place by any means necessary.

The service was smooth and convenient. You can order either at the register or through a kiosk, which I liked since it shows pictures of the food. The kiosk also helped me discover items I didn't notice on the menu board, like the mushroom burger and chili cheese fries, which ended up being great choices. The dining area is on the smaller side with just a few tables, but when we went it wasn't busy at all, so there was plenty of seating. I've always enjoyed their burgers, and this visit was no different.

After my 1st review, I did eventually decide to visit this place again. This is after I expanded my palate a bit more and tried a few more Pho places. I'm sad to say that my opinion of this restaurant did not improve. The base of the soup is very bland in comparison to all other Pho places I've gone to. While the price is cheap and the service is good, I can't get past the bland taste. And lets face it... taste is arguably the most important aspect of any food. Being someone who supports local businesses, I'd still recommend anyone to give this place at least one try. Just don't expect to be impressed by the taste. There is better to be had out there... much better. read more

I ordered pho, which came in a big portion with perfectly cooked noodles and a flavorful broth. The spring rolls were also tasty, and the rice was done just right. However, the service was quite slow, and there were flies buzzing around, which was a bit off-putting. The restaurant could really benefit from some improvements to the environment and faster service. Being Viet from San Jose, having lived in OC for a while, and parents who had a Viet restaurant, I can be pretty picky about my Viet food. I've tried most of the pho places in the South Bay now and can confidently say that this place has the best pho ga. The nem nuong and coffee are on point too. Haven't tried the other menu items yet, but based on the quality of what I had, it's legit enough that I would feel comfortable bringing my family members here vs having to chauffeur them all the way to Little Saigon. read more

I had the pho with filet mignon and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, the meat was tender and cooked perfectly, and the portion size was generous. You can tell they put real care into the food here. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Definitely one of my favorite Pho restaurants in the South Bay. Pho House is family operated which to me is the way to go when looking for somewhere to eat. Everything was good for sure. The noodles in the bowl were slightly thicker than vermicelli noodles but overall bbq sandwich and bread were perfect the bowl itself was decent big pieces of lots of goodies! Fast quick service as well. read more
