The Egg Roll skin is made out of Vietnamese Rice paper vs traditional Egg Roll skin which makes it taste better in my opinion. Mom comes out of the kitchen to serve food periodically. I order pretty much the same each time.... Pho with filet mignon and the shrimp and pork spring rolls. I've been coming here for 2 years. Around this area there's a lot of Vietnamese food but none of them really good. Then there's really bad Vietnamese with high ratings that is Saigon Dish which apart from their good service serves up one of the worst bowls of pho, ever. Stumbled in here based on their high reviews and when I first tasted that broth I thought we were in for a treat. Then as I continued to eat I felt my tongue burning, holy MSG they are heavy fisted in MSG usage. Nearly all pho restaurants use it, this one abuses it. It was enough to make my tongue numb and I had to give up eating. It's got the right aroma, the right look, and gee it could easily be a good bowl of pho if they cut that MSG level down about 80%. Service here was bad, typical Vietnamese restaurant service. The reason for the high ratings? Well they are offering free macarons with a review. This could be a good restaurant if they work on boiling bones and cutting the MSG out. read more

Craving some oxtail soup and not many places to find it in the South Bay so I was very pleased to find this gem of a restaurant. Prices were reasonable, service was great for the most part (once it got busy, had to wait a while to pay and leave), and just a comfortable place to have a lunch date. I spoke to someone there and I think they opened or re-opened around November 2016 The service on January 2017 was fast, friendly and excellent. It was our first time visiting. The soup is good and broth, tasty. The noodle/shrimp rolls are good (no mint leaves nor cilantro in 'em which I love not having to pick those out!) Avg price is about $10 or so per person. It's a convenient location in the South Bay, and note, right now is CLOSED ON SUNDAYS. Parking is very EASY. It's near the 405 freeway too, if you're traveling to get here, but it's a great local spot for the neighborhood residential community to support, and next to a Vietnamese grocery market too. read more
