So this is what their Oxtail Pho looks like... Good amount of Oxtail for the price you're getting there.

The weather truly has been playing weird in February. We go from rain to sunny, and all of a sudden, windy...and yet, it somehow feels cold today. Which...it did lead me to a place in town that I have been contemplating on last couple years, Pho Kapahulu. I came into this with curious expectations, and yet...the place truly delivered. The workers were very friendly and accommodating with the choices to pick on the menu, but, because it has been a somewhat cold day in recent weeks, I went with a direction that made the most sense in this, and got the Oxtail Pho. I gotta be honest, for what I got for $19, it was worth it. They definitely gave me a good amount of Oxtail, which is a plus. And, it was super filling considering it was a nice portion for lunch. All in all though, the experience was great. I liked it. I highly recommend coming here if you want to check out something interesting for Vietnamese food in the Kapahulu area. Maybe next time, I'll hope to come and try something different there, like one of their rice plates, maybe the Bahn Mi...there's a lot of possibilities to go on with this. 10/10

On a Sunday, street parking is hard to come by. Business is located on corner of building. They were not busy when we got there. Decor was nice. Employee recommended certain dishes. Our order was imperial spring roll, banana roll, curry with rice, and pho.

Ordered Vietnamese style shrimp papaya salad, simple and delicious. Don't let the exterior of the restaurant fool you. This place is a hole on the wall and definitely worth the visit. Service is great and very attentive!

No frills pho spot. Feels like a homemade bowl of pho, didn't seem like they used MSG either. Fresh garnishes.

I enjoyed the 25. Lean Cooked Chicken Pho. It's a small take out with some small tables and chairs for a couple of people in sit in and eat.

This restaurant is literally a hole in the wall where the owners family members and friends are hanging out while also serving affordable food. While the ambiance is authentic and the people are kind, but the pho was mediocre, not enough meat and not enough depth. The spring rolls were also pretty average. You can find better pho somewhere else, not here. Maybe order their rice dishes or whatever else from the menu.

We had the bbq beef rice w/ a side salad & pho. Just enough for 2. Summer rolls with some sauce. It was a welcoming experience and the food went great everything about it was good

Little hole in the wall right off Kapahulu, Probably best to park at Safeway and walk down. The service was quick but was not busy when we came in, We got our food within 10-15 minutes: and everything was so big and delicious I'll be sure to come back for my fix

What can I say........fabulous food, great prices, & very friendly service! I think I found another favorite Vietnamese joint to get my Pho fix!!! Yes, it's a very small mom & pop joint located just a few doors down from the Kapahulu strip mall that houses Safeway. There is no parking, but I was able to find parking within the neighborhood, then walked on over to Pho Kapahulu. As I stepped into the little restaurant, I was greeted right away. There were about five small tables within the restaurant, and each table sits about 4 people each. Looking over the menu, I already knew what I came here for......my Chicken Pho! My homie - Gary T. got the Sautéed Lemongrass Chicken with Veggies & Cold Noodles. Summer Rolls w/Shrimp were also ordered to share as appetizers. What can I say about my Chicken Pho? Pho Kapahulu by far had the best prices for pho! The Pho broth was very flavorful, & the food portions were on point. My homie - Gary T. also said his Cold Noodle dish was very tasty. I'm so happy I finally gave this little hole-in-da-wall restaurant a try as I've drove past this restaurant for many years but did not make the effort to give it a try. Thanks to my homie - Gary T. for encouraging me to check this place out!

Saw this place had oxtail pho and had to try it out. Park in the safeway parking lot and just walk over. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the cutest lady ever! She was super sweet and made us feel welcomed. It's a great hole in the wall spot! It felt authentic like you just came home to mom's cooking. Oxtail was tender and delicious. I added brisket to my pho and I was in pho heaven! I hope to come back and visit this place again.

This was another checkmark off my bookmark. I swung by a nearby Foodland after my hike with my poke on my way back to Waikiki when I noticed Kapahulu Pho was around the corner. While I was waiting for my pho, I could smell the broth from the kitchen and I knew this was going to be good. Seems like this was more of a local spot than tourist even though it's a few blocks away from Waikiki. But the taste of the lean cooked chicken pho was tasty, wish I had room for spring rolls.

Looking for Pho places I came across this one and realized I had been there some months prior. I remember the food was decent. Not spectacular but typical decent Viet food. I do recall the service by the elderly proprietors was incredible. They really wanted to make sure everything was perfect and to our satisfaction, which it was. They gave us a free desert also. Parking her can be a challenge but I would check it out again.

I heard they will keep this space for special events. The restaurant is quite busy and I'm glad we had reservations. Good thing I was there prior to lunch hour opening, otherwise we may lose our reservations since the person who made reservations tends to be habitual in arriving late. We dined in May, but it's been awhile since I first dined here. I preferred dining in Chinatown during lunch time than at dinner. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. I forgot his name, but I remembered that his eyeglasses that he wore was cool/funny, since the frames for each eye didn't match the other eye! lol. Funny it wasn't me who first noticed it. One was square frame and the other was a round frame! The restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays except may write Happy Birthday in chocolate on the dessert plate that you purchase for the birthday person. Their desserts are unique and refreshing. I think there are some rotating desserts /flavors like their seasonal menu for their main menu. I guess you can always keep coming back without being bored of the menu! I was bummed to see a previous dish posted of a pasta that I wanted to try that wasn't on the current spring seasonal menu! When we dined for brunch over the weekend, I was able to get the Hainan chicken with the crispy roast pork combo. It was very filling , tasty and satisfying. I do love ginger sauce on the cold ginger chicken but sometimes the chicken is just okay. This Hainan chicken was really good and the chicken was really moist! I thought it was the best I've tried! It was good that I wanted to takeout one last time in August before they moved! No more the 50/50 combo with the crispy roast pork on the lunch menu during the weekday. It was on the spring menu. Of course it's best to eat it in the restaurant than for take out. Bathroom is a must for me when dining out and they had only one shared bathroom for everyone! There was a guy who tried to make several attempts but wasn't successful, since there was always someone in the restroom. I'm glad the waiter told me there was a bigger separate bathroom with several stalls for men and ladies upstairs. You go straight through the kitchen to catch the elevator and to another kitchen /storage area! Thank Goodness! Best wishes at your new location. You offer yummy and tasty food!

While the servers were nice, we did order ahead of time and showed up when the Beluga app (where we ordered off of) told us to show up, but I ended up waiting 15 minutes at the restaurant later than I was supposed to get my food. Additionally, the staff seemed to forget I was sitting/waiting for my food. My suspicion is that the online ordering service isn't actively monitored and our order wasn't started until I actually showed up to the restaurant to pick up our food at the designated time. The food was okay for us. I'm a big Banh Mi fan and was looking forward to eating their Combination Banh Mi, but unfortunately the Banh Mi seemed a little rushed in preparation and lacked flavor. My husband on the other hand, ordered their Combination Pho and it absolutely did not disappoint. Although their Banh Mi was not as delicious and flavorful as I expected, their Pho was the exact opposite of that. They give you a generous amount of broth and their portions of greens was beyond enough (maybe a little bit too much for one serving). The last food item to talk about are their Spring Rolls. It wasn't anything too special compared to your usual Spring Rolls, but I will say that their dipping sauce and everything else that comes with it (rice noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots) made it so that you could easily make it a meal vice an appetizer. If you're looking for a cozy place to have dinner, their space was a bit crowded but if you're okay with then this place is good. Just be warned that their prices are a little bit on the higher side in my opinion and be prepared for long wait times to receive your order.
