The Pho Kien Giang is a large Vietnamese restaurant can seat many people. The inside of the restaurant has booth on the wall then the rectangular table in line. It almost like the beer garden. We were here because of Thao review and the Yelp Top 100 restaurant. This will be number 22 restaurants I have try in the list. The have good selection of pho including the raw beef soup that you can add into the soup by yourself. We were here to try the Ban Hue noodle soup and their unique specialty caramelized fish. The noodle soup is spicy soup base the slice beef, pig blood cube, pork shoulder and flank beef slice. It was great and they good enough. I like the caramelized fish. It has brown sugar to cook inside. The fish is cook with fried pork skin fat then added the brown sugar sauce. They are very sweet but it go well with the rice. We arrived there late around 9 pm. The place was still very busy. I ordered No 38 Bun Bo Hue . it's a spicy beef noodle soup with pork hook and blood cube. The broth was flavorful but seemed not spicy at all. Plenty of thin beef slices in the bowl plus I added all the cabbage and bean sprout . Overall, it was a big bowl of tasty noodle soup. The price was very affordable. When we paid the check, the manager gave us 15% discount. He apologized for the food came out late because there was a big order ahead of us. I got the Vermicelli with Grilled Pork and Egg Rolls​ and my coworkers each got one of the varieties of Pho. My coworkers really enjoyed their Pho, but I was quite disappointed with my Vermicelli. Even though I poured ALL of the fish sauce into the bowl and mixed it up, I felt as though my food was still really lacking in flavor. Also the noodles are not the typical rice vermicelli and was much thicker with a softer texture, and I had been really craving some firm noodles! The one thing my coworkers and I can agree on is the small portions. All of us felt hungry again just 2 hours after lunch, although I do have to say no one did the +75 cents for a large. Not to exaggerate but probably the best Vietnamese restaurant in the St. Pete/Pinellas Park area. My go-to is pho (#10 on the menu) or their rice plates. Always HAVE to get their fried wings here. You've never had wings like these. They're simple but so good. They come out piping out and a side of sweet and sour type of sauce. When ordering pho, you get two sizes, small and large. There's no medium. You go big or you go.. small. I always get the small even the small is like medium but anyways. I frequent on the weekends, usually hung over or if it's a chilly day out. This place is popping on the weekends but they get you seated fairly fast. Service is top notch. The servers are quick and want to get you your food asap ('ppreciate it). Other honorable mentions, they have traditional Vietnamese dishes like Ca Kho Tho, which is carmelized fish and it's SO good here. I like their rolls too (goi cuon and bi cuon). And I like to wash everything down with their strong iced coffee. Ask for extra milk as the Vietnamese love their strong espresso (I can't handle it), but with the extra condensed milk, the coffee is a treat. read more

This is our go to Pho and Vietnamese restaurant. We have visited many and have regrettably had to stop going to some due to health code violations (that we had personally experienced). I always get an order of fresh spring rolls and have recently tried the fried egg rolls and they are wonderful as well. I asked my husband if I could have a birthday cake made of their spring rolls I love them so much! They are fresh and have a great taste. I change my orders based on how I feel but I love their pho tai (small bowl), their bun, and the broken rice. My son loves the broken rice dish there and they know his order now due to getting it all the time. My husband loves their spicy soup (Bun bo hue) as well. The servers are friendly and fast. We get our food quickly here which is always nice. It gets VERY crowded on Sundays and at dinner time so you might have a wait- but it usually isn't very long (5 minutes?). Hands down the best place to order Pho! First of all, I was really impressed with just how cheap the Pho was!
