This place is really a gem. The location is a little wonky because it is in a corner lot with a gas station but the food is really delicious. Chatted with the worker (owner? Not sure) while I waited for takeout today, really a sweet guy. He said business has been slow due to COVID and they can't set up outdoor dining with the constraints of the location. OPEN LATE I have tried the spring rolls and crispy tofu so far. Pretty good! I am a pho nut but have yet to try the full menu. However, they are open until 10pm which is a huge plus because I often get home late. For that alone they deserve kudos. I will report back when I try more of the menu. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now, and it's the regular spot for pho and other Vietnamese food between me and my friends. The pho is a must: the meat is tender, the broth is delicious and clean tasting, and the vegetables are fresh and condiments on point. Also, if you love salt and pepper chicken wings then you must try them here, they are among the best s n' p wings I've had - the skin is light, crispy, and crunchy, the meat is cooked perfectly and is piping hot, and it is sweet, spicy, and salty from all the seasonings. I also recommend the banh mi, the rolls are very delicious; and the vermicelli noodles. Overall, the food here is fresh, delicious, clean tasting, and you will leave full and satisfied. I thought this place was ok. I had the beef and fatty brisket pho with a Thai Tea and avocado boba tea. I would've liked the pho to have a little more onion and meat, but overall flavor of the broth was on point. The avocado boba tea was not very good though. I have been itching to try this place for awhile. so glad I did! it is not too far from my house, i am used to going all the way to Kearny mesa or Claremont for good asian food, so this is a find! the service was very swift and friendly, they have a lot of wait staff there to help. the food was also very fast. i ordered a grilled beef bahn mi sandwich that was damn near perfect. i finished it in probably less than 5 minutes. eveything was on point and just what i expected. the meat had that salty sweet flavor, very juicy and they had really thinly shredded carrots and jicama. a really nice complement. a crunchy fat bread roll, that actually held together better than the baguette I am used to. also got a thai tea, always yummy, this was no exception, the flavor and consistency of the drink were delicious. i could not wait to post this review! they have a $10 minimum on credit and debit purchases, which did not even equal my whole lunch, great prices. so i gladly ordered some fried egg rolls to-go. it is a cozy little dining room and I believe it is family owned. I have been coming to this place for over a couple of years. The pho, spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee are my favorite. The only problem I have faced recently is the poor customer service from a younger male worker who has previous made my Vietnamese coffee, both times he has failed to fill the cup to the top and I have asked kindly to pour more but still wasn't full. I have also asked for less ice and I still got a cup full of ice and barely any coffee. You're basically paying four dollars for a cup of ice. Only issue is that it is kind of small with about 7-8 tables, but ordering to-go is always a great option here. I highly suggest the Bun Noodles anything starting with the V1-10, but the Pork and Shrimp are my personal favorites. A Spring Valley pho place is definitely convenient, but do yourself a favor and drive a little further to go have a true experience. The overall feeling when you first sit down in this family-owned restaurant is that it's uncleanly. There is a language barrier with the staff, however, they do their best to offer you great service, which is really all you could ask for. They did awkwardly keep the water filler at our table the entire evening, and the orders were a bit mixed up from what we wanted, which I would inevitably credit to a simple misunderstanding. Parking is very difficult as it is in the corner of a gas station parking lot, but if you need a quick fix and don't care about the environment (or quality of cuisine) then go for it. read more
