Delicious! Ate here this past weekend came on a Saturday around 12:30 and it was jammed packed! Had the Bun Bo Hue and it was soooo good I ended up returning Sunday afternoon. Fresh food, great service and staff. Also they are pretty generous with their meat portions in the noodle soup dishes and the price is reasonable for the quality! Pho nowadays is usually hit or miss when trying new restaurants, but this place has really awesome food! I tried them for my first time today. Service is superb, quick and attentive employees! They listen to the details of the order and review any possible differences. I changed my order slightly before I was served it and they got it spot on! Their crispy spring rolls are excellent, although small and expensive! I order their thai iced coffee, which was good, but not as sweet as I thought it should be, a little too much ice, because there was a lot leftover. My main course was PHO of course, Pho #2 with beef brisket, tendon, and fatty brisket. Everything was excellent, the noodles, and soup were very tasty! There was maybe 3 ounce of cooked chicken and easily 3 cups of rice. The meat was very cheap and chewy.... WY over cooked. It was over 85 today and clearly they don't pay for AC.... This is really a 2.5 This place is pretty much no frills. The summer rolls were good - no complaints there. I ordered the vermicelli with pork and while the pork was marinated and cooked well, the presentation makes it hard to eat and mix everything together because the noodles are kept together in sheets (see pic) and the items are on a plate instead of a bowl. Veggies were also lacking here. Would I come here again if I'm in the area? Probably, because of the promise of the summer rolls. I'd try the pho next time though. My fiancé and I have been eating at the same Vietnamese place for the last four years. Every once in a while, we branch out and sometimes we find gems. We started with the nem nuong cuon (grilled pork sausage spring roll) that's served with an orange sweet and savory sauce that I would love the recipe for if I could get my hands on it. He got the pho with rare eye round, brisket, and meatballs. I got their bun bo hue. Both solid soups and both very nice portions that will keep you full for several hours. When we went, there was only one server, and I felt so bad for her because the restaurant was full after 20 minutes of us sitting there. Nonetheless, she handled everything flawlessly and even had time to refill our water, which seems small but that doesn't happen often when I go out. Needless to say, we had a pleasant experience. Pho Ngon delivers the homey taste of mom's cooking with a clean broth you'll feel good about. If you can, drag a buddy with you so you can try their food too! read more

Bun Bo Hue was very good. The broth had just the right amount of seasoning (not so much that it appears red or orange) and little to know fat on top. The noodles were cooked just right and they were very generous with the proteins. Will definitely be coming back to buy for family members who live too far to visit. read more

I'm not the food review type but I just had to comment. Their food is phenomenal! I went to go eat with my mother and aunt as we were driving and stopped for a quick meal. As native Viets we were not disappointed. The food tastes amazing and as we were leaving and getting gas at the station nearby, we really wanted to get some food for home. We called and turns out they were out I would take the two hour drive down here every weekend to get their food if I could. read more

Since they've changed management/ownership (they also own Pho Saigon Oi) we've become frequent customers. The food under the previous ownership was just meh. I decided to wait to give them another chance a few months ago and we were pleasantly surprised. What they do well: nem nung, bo luc lac, bun bo hue, mi quang, and kids pho ga, Their pho is just okay to me. It's not bad, but it's also not something I crave from them. I prefer their other specialty noodle soup dishes mentioned above. Their bahn mi is just okay. The meat is flavored and cooked well, but the bread isn't as fresh as the Vietnamese sandwich places that specialize in bahn mi. We've also tried other rice and vermicelli dishes. That's also good as well, but our faves are the dishes mentioned above. Their boba is on the harder side, so I would just get a drink without it. Other than that, we're thrilled that a good Vietnamese restaurant is finally within walking distance to our house. Service is average, but the food comes out fast. We probably dine here at least twice a month! *Also, quick tip and FYI: if you ever order take out or need to take your soup to-go, they charge $0.50 per plastic container. Had the chance to visit this place again after a long family vacation and it didn't disappoint. My family loved the pho there but I always go for the beef stew with egg noodles. How can you not love this place when each bowl comes out piping hot! That's how it should be done. Each bowl also comes with tons of mint, lime, bean sprouts, and radishes. Surprisingly good considering how Americanized every other restaurant is in this greater shopping center. Located in the little strip mall, this place has plenty of parking and it's easy to find. You walk in and the place is pretty tightly packed - I wouldn't recommend you come here with any more than 6 people. All that being said, the turnover seemed to be very quick and I didn't notice anyone having to wait for a table. I was running late compared to my friends and asked them to order for me. Surprisingly enough, by the time I got there probably 4 minutes later the pho was already on the table! I'm used to fast service in a pho restaurant, but was still very pleasantly surprised by that. For the pho itself, you get plenty of the standard add-ons (bean sprouts, lime, thai basil, chili) without having to ask for more which I commonly feel like I have to do at some other pho restaurants, especially in a larger setting. The broth here was surprisingly good and felt pretty clean compared to a lot of other restaurants I've been to. The meat was a bit overcooked for me, but I have no way of knowing how long my bowl was sitting out so I can't ding them for it. First impressions was that this place looked modern and the A/C was cranked up HIGH. I was immediately greeted and shown a table after I walked in. I ordered my pho go-to, Tai Nam (P3), which is eye round and flank steak. The soup came out after just a short time and absolutely hit the spot! The large size was so generous that I will likely opt for the regular next time. My only complaint was that the soup was served so hot that I had to wait a long time to be able to enjoy it. I think the soup temperature was excessive and I quickly became very appreciative that the A/C was on full blast. Phi Ngon was clean, the service was good, and so was the soup. Great value for the price! I also like the convenience of the location as its not in the middle of the Kingstowne shopping plaza so there's lots of available parking. Nice addition to the Kingstowne neighborhood. Always love pho during the cold weather. All different types of Vietnamese noodle soup here. A variety of meat, a white chicken option, and vegetarian soup as well. I have had the chicken pho and meatball pho. Both were enjoyable, but I found the meatball pho to be a little more flavorful. The soup came out hot, which is definitely one of the most important things. Like most Vietnamese places, you had your choice of bean sprouts, jalapeños, lime, hot sauce, and whatever else you like adding. The regular size bowl is quite large, so I recommend sticking with that size for lunch. If you order the large bowl for $1 extra, you may be falling asleep at work in the afternoon. My sources tell me that there is MSG in the pho, which makes you sleepy. After eating here, I definitely believe it. Also have has the crispy spring rolls and garden rolls for appetizers. Enjoyed both, especially the garden rolls with peanut sauce. I know it's not tradition, but I always felt there should be the option to add some wontons, scallops, tofu, and several other items in these soups. A selection of noodles would be nice too. I enjoy the wide rice noodles. I suppose it wouldn't be authentic Vietnamese cuisine if these options were available, but authenticity can be slightly overrated at times. This place is on the smaller side. The seats are cushioned which makes it comfortable. They have one television toward the entrance. During my most recent visit, they decided to have some lame soap opera on. Maybe I'll request the news next time. Service was good. Food was brought out in a timely manner, and staff was friendly. I was weary coming here bc of the mixed reviews about service. But we decided to give it a shot since we don't have many Viet places close to home. I'm really glad we gave it a try. I'm not sure why the trend is lately for these new Viet restaurants to be so stingy on the fish sauce. But I'm sure if I wanted more they'd give it to me. The roasted quail was very flavorful. I was honestly anxious about trying it because I didn't want to be let down; too many places use so much star anise, fat, sugar or charing that the rest of the broth's flavors are lost! But not here - I could taste the green onion and bits of cilantro.
