Very good spot! My weekly craving kicked in for some really good pho. Ordered the spring rolls with eye round pho soup. The broth is flavored perfectly! The noodles and the beef werent over cooked and complemented the broth perfectly! The service was great as well. Very pleasant, attentive and prompt. My second time trying a Thai iced tea and I'm HOOKED!! It has a great flavor! I went when there was no crowd, so I was able to really enjoy my food. The pho is ok. Not the best I had. The price of the pho is high but it didn't have the pho flavor like other places I been to. Need improvement on their flavor. Service was very good. Delicious! I ordered Pho Ngon for the first time on a cold, rainy night. The delivery was fast and friendly. The pho was delicious and hot, and the bun (we had it with chicken, pork and shrimp) was full of fresh veggies. We are regular clients of this place. Today we came and ordered chicken pho, they brought it, the chicken wasn't well cocked. I called the waitress and complained that chicken hasn't been cocked well. What they did was remarkable, they asked me to place a peace of chicken on a separate plate for chef to taste... I was shocked but complied. The lady which was presented as a manager disappeared in kitchen then came back with the same plate and half peace of chicken to declare that the chicken was "well done"! Not only I'm surprised with this type of treatment, but I will never be back to this place again! My husband and I we paid for our order which we didn't even started and left the place. This review is based off of carryout. I eat pho once or twice a week, and have tried a few places in the area. I have a favorite place in Springfield, which I think is the best I have had, but came across this place, and since it's close to home I gave it a try. I thought the broth of the pho was very good and the noodles had a good texture to them. I will order again. The spring rolls and summer rolls were pretty standard, but flavorful. As for service.... I thought I ordered a combination fried rice, but something totally different was in my bag when I got home. This review is for Pho Ngon, Vietnamese restaurant in Kingstowne (Alexandria), VA; which we visited for the first (and last time) during the dinner hour before a weekend. We noticed this (newer opened) small "strip-mall" location only seats around 20 people in several open tables. When we walked in, only 2 other patrons inside and over the course of an hour; only 1x take-out order, and 1x other set of dine-in patrons arrived. The staff was a younger college-age man who was engaged in some books studies, extremely nice; however inattentive to serving the other customers already inside and a few more who came afterwards. Took a long time just to get utensils, water, menu's; then return trip to order just an appetizer and main menu choices. Again, the wait was around 30-minutes for "Pho" type selections speciality of the business. **ALERT** Unfortunately, my "Pho" selection was tainted with a foreign object concealed in the noodles! Turned out to be about a 3" wadded length of plastic food wrap from preparation. Staff investigated and explained it was used to 'wrap noodles' in the kitchen and 'it happens sometimes'? While my menu item was removed from the $ check, still had to pay for the other items; no real apology or visit from the manager. Didn't seem to care, in spite of other patrons watching. Been to this place a couple times and I will say the food is good. The broth is flavorful and rich. The portions are pretty generous with a good balance of meat and noodles. Its nothing amazing but it's good. The thing that is lacking is the staff. They're are always disorganized and have a very hard time with orders. When the orders come out, they show no confidence that the order belongs to the respective person. They often are running around trying to reconfirm between the kitchen and the order itself before food is delivered properly. Even with the check there seems to always be confusion leading to long lines when trying to pay. read more

I've been craving pho this entire week but didn't want to drive all the way to Annandale or Falls Church... who would've thought I'd find an amazing hole-in-the-wall right in my area!?!! We have eaten here about four times. Liked the food but never pleased with the severely lacking service. There just isn't any service and sometimes you have to walk back and ask for a check and sometimes they do table side. No rhyme or rhythm to it. This evening we ended up walking out. The older Asian lady left us mid-order to rush to the phone and then proceeded to take the callers order leaving us sitting. She came back to us reciting what she recalled our order to be from earlier and then got upset when we had to start over. Her face was priceless. Sorry but you need to set some standards. The broth did not have a strong beef flavor and had a more floral flavor of star anise and clove. I personally prefer a broth with more depth and a strong beef flavor. The broth was improved with an addition of chili oil. It was nice to see that offered on the table. Additionally I ordered a lime aide and again was not blown away. Past experiences with lime aide ordered at other Thai restaurants were much more flavorful. I want it to be so strong that it will basically make your face twitch when you drink it. This place has good pho and grilled meat, but their servers and service are 2 star. The server that took our order was staring at me the whole time while I was eating. Made me so mad and uncomfortable that I didn't want to eat my food. I asked the server for a knife to cut my pork and he say ok and sat back down and stared at me. I ordered once in the beginning of corona and I was able to pick up pho with no problem. The other day mid day I tried calling and nobody was answering their phones. I'm not sure if they are even operating right now because hours of operation have not been updated. I don't like the idea of not knowing if they are even doing business right now.
