This place makes very good pho. I always order beef ball and tendon because of my health condition I need to eat a lot of collagen. I have been struggling to keep food down for a year so noodles and broth have been my go to for nourishment. There tendon is exquisite and you can tell there is no funk or the cheaper chunky tendon you get at most other pho places. There tendon is as buttery and soft as marrow. I usually go to bahn mi Che cali for a bowl of quick pho. I stopped in at this place on my way home since I always pass it by. I was looking forward to a good broth and portion of brisket. I ordered the pho tai chin and requested it have beef balls. I normally get an all inclusive pho with rare steak, brisket, and beef balls. Once I got home I noticed the brisket and rare beef portions were very tiny. And I was charged $4 for two beef balls cut into pieces. This place is located in a Vons plaza. Pho was good and is what I expected. I got the rare steak and brisket pho. There was only a few pieces of meat. Everything else was good. The packaging is nice and convenient for to go orders. They put the noodles in a seperate tray on top of broth and it was easy to just add everything into the broth. Hoison sauce and chili sauce were also taped together. You can order online on their website and pickup is ready normally in about 20 minutes by their door. This pho is absolutely delicious! My partner got the Pho dac biet, and I got the Pho Tai Chin and made it spicy for an extra dollar. I am not sure this was necessary. In hindsight, I could've just saved the dollar and spiced it myself with the chili sauce it comes with, but it was still absolutely delicious. Other than the dollar extra to make it spicy, the prices are fair and the portion sizes are plentiful. The broth by itself with nothing added is so flavorful. We ordered to go since we live nearby, so I cannot speak to the dinning in experience, but the staff was incredibly kind and our order was fresh and ready in less than 30 minutes after ordering. Drinks: I ordered the tea but I thought it was expensive. $2 something for tea with no refills.... Overall: this place is new, but not so hot for me. I was really hoping and wanting to like this place. It's a small spot that used to be Nori Wraps but changed to Pho. I ordered takeout. Got home and it was nothing fantastic as I ordered veggie pho, which didn't have much flavor and very watered down. The eggrolls were missing something as well. I'm used to all the veggies that come with the eggrolls and then wrapping it up in a lettuce. This place doesn't do that I guess. The bowls were multilevel; soup on bottom and noodle and meat separated in different compartment. So I would first like to say that their customer service is superb....however their food is not so great. Pasadena lacks pho places and I prefer the one in Old Town vs this one. We were excited about ordering the egg rolls because the photos posted looked great, but the egg rolls that came out looked nothing like the photos and the taste was not good at all. I ordered a pho bowl in Vietnamese and the guy had no idea what I was talking about, which is fine but if anyone is interested in knowing, this is not authentic Vietnamese food.
