    Beef Pho
    Paul G.

Pho on California is very cute and fast get in get out establishment. The food is very very good especially for Pho in Pasadena! And the service was very quick, with the workers all being so nice and thoughtful. My wife and I truly enjoyed it and it was a great pick me up for us not feeling too well. Thank you pho on Cali!

This is honestly the best Pho I've had.. The broth is very flavorful and I really appreciate that the chicken skin isn't included in their soup. They also have all of the fresh toppings on the side. I usually order the Pho Ga and have loved it every time. I sometimes get the beef banh mi which is also very good and eat it with the soup. I've eaten in the restaurant a couple of times but usually get it to go. The service is always pretty quick and they're nice and helpful whether you dine in or not.

I enjoyed number 2 Spicy Dac Biet, medium spice level with no meatballs, a side of shrimp rolls and Thai tea. I really enjoy the broth. ~should have asked for more limes slices. Got a side of bean sprouts and jalapeños and a lime slice. The atmosphere was calm (I am coming in on midday on a Monday day) The spring rolls maybe a bit too much lettuce for me but peanut sauce on point. The waitress was nice too. Would come in again for rainy day takeout.

#14 Pho Khong with beef broth

Earlier today I had to make a stop in this shopping center. There was a distinct aroma in the air of something absolutely delicious that caught my attention. My nose sussed it out, and literally lead me by the nose to Pho on California. It was mid day and I was in my groove, but grabbed my phone and bookmarked it on Yelp. As I went about my day, my mind was still pondering the fragrant aroma of the broth, a slightly sweet smell and layered notes promising a delight to the tastebuds. Returned home I announced "Soup for dinner!" In a large stock pot I put an assortment of veggies to simmer in bone broth. I had viewed the menu via Yelp and knew I wanted to go back and get their broth and noodles. #14 on the menu. You know how when you cook for yourself everything, no matter how good, tastes as would be expected. By adding the $12 of broth and noodles we are going to have two hearty nights of dinner that are definitely a notch above in flavor. 5 stars for my delicious to go order was ready by the time I hit the Yelp check in button! I am excited to return for a dine-in experience soon and will order plenty to-go to jazz up my epicurean adventures at home.

The pho broth was delicious. I really appreciated that when the pho came out, the broth was piping hot . I really don't like when some restaurants bring it out and the broth is only lukewarm. The egg rolls and chicken wings were also tasty. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely be back.

    Short rib combination pho

First time visitor and thought the short rib combination pho was so good! They were very generous with their meats that I actually wanted more noodles lol The meat and noodle ratio was a bit off because of that lol but the meat was very tender, especially the short rib. The broth was just the tiniest bit salty but that's probably because we went right before closing (sorry and thank you to the staff for serving us!!) and the broth was cooking all day. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The thai tea was good too. Thank you - will definitely come back for the short rib pho!

Now that I've tried more options on their menu, I am even more enamored. You won't regret it! Every item on their menu is made with love and full of flavor, with reasonable prices, and sweet staff.

So happy to find Pho on California. Delicious everything from the pho to bun to bahn mi and drinks too! The Vietnamese Coffee is drip drip fresh!!! Service is quick and friendly and the restaurant was packed for lunch!

Solid Pho Place! Been here a few times and the experience is always pleasant. We discovered it last year while visiting family across the street at Huntington Memorial Hospital. They're located in Vons Shopping plaza. Staff is quick and efficient, perfect for quick bite. The space is small and can get crowded on busy days. Though they have outdoor seating, it's limited to 3 small tables. Prices are reasonable and decent size portions. The pho here is terrific. We got chicken and short rib combo (short rib, brisket and rare steak). Both broths were flavorful and on point. Noodles are more on thinner side, very well prepared and just right. Hardly needed any utensils for short rib, it was fall off the bone tender. Only complaint is there skimpy on bean sprouts, jalapeno and lime. It would have been nice to have more veggies. We also tried pork egg rolls which were good. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Good stuff. Proportions were quite big. Almost couldn't finish the pho. Service was fast. The brisket in the pho was good.

Spring rolls with shrimp, peanut sauce, and thai tea

I cannot stop coming to this place!! The food is addictingly good, if I only had $25 to my name I would spend it HERE no doubt. I am always satisfied with the taste and amount of food, because it is SO DELICIOUS and the portions are SO generous!!! I definitely recommend it, the staff are really friendly and helpful when you can't remember a menu name, and the restaurant has peaceful and warm local vibes which makes you feel comfortable the whole time :)) Genuinely one of my favorites and I would so so so totally recommend I hope it goes famous so everyone can enjoy the BEST PHO EVER

How is the vegetarian option? Has anyone tried it?

They have a variety of vegetarian/vegan options that are really good. I recommend the veggie pho, it's one of my favorites

This…read moretime, I had about an hour to kill while waiting for my appointment at the Apple Store in Pasadena. I was walking around thinking about what to eat. The I saw the Noodle Street sign. Of course, I went in because I already know the quality of their food. I always find their noodles fresh and chewy, and the dishes are rich in texture and flavor. But this time, since I was by myself, I didn't order a noodle dish because I was just by myself. So, I ordered the beef roll, which is also to die for! Just really enjoy their food overall. If you've never tried Noodle Street before, definitely check out their menu and give their noodles a try. This particular location was clean, the staff was nice, and the wait wasn't long when I arrived. I would definitely come back again! I'd like to add one more detail. While I was waiting for my food, one of the staff members, possibly the manager, Justin, came over and asked if I'd like to have a small bowl of broth on the side. I said yes and was impressed by that offer. Why? This young man understood that I had ordered only the beef roll, which is a dry dish. Having a little warm broth on the side made it much easier and more enjoyable to eat. I had water, though, but I personally never drink water before or after my meal, so the broth was definitely a perfect complement to the beef roll. This is the first time in my Noodle Street eating history that I've been offered something simple to enhance my dining experience. A small gesture that I think is worth mentioning, as it showed that he was attentive and had very good common sense when it comes to customer service. Thumbs up to him, and an extra star from me for this location.

When we asked if we could be seated in a booth, he responded with a sour expression and unnecessary attitude, as though having the booth cleaned was a personal inconvenience. Even after we thanked him for accommodating our request, his response remained cold and dismissive. It was actually insane, I would come back here just for the chicken, 10/10. The seafood pancake was also amazing. It was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It had lots of shrimp and squid, and dipped in the sauce it was delicious, 10/10. I'd say both the corn cheese and tteokbokki were not super worth it. The tteokbokki was relatively small, given the price. And it was quite spicy, a little too spicy for me. The corn cheese tasted like butane gas, or how a birthday candle smells, so it was just alright. Both were a 5/10. I would definitely come back again to try more food!
