This is one of the best Pho spots in the Valley as far as Pho beef noodle soups goes. I love the #16 with Rare steak, brisket and well done flank, sooo good!! Order the beef noodle soup x-large as well as extra veggies, always good to have left overs. Gotta add a Thai Tea or a Boba drink as well. If you order without ice though, they do short fill it a little, bummer. My other favorite is the Vermicelli with pork and spring rolls, amazing. I really prefer the soups, but this is a nice change of pace. It can get a little busy, so if you are getting it to go, call in before you get there, also, if you mention Yelp, they will give you 5% off your order, great deal. This is the only pho restart I like. Other pho restaurants don't seem to get the flavor of the broth right. This restaurant does! The meat is tender and the broth is delicious and flavorful. They also have a large menu option and even offer Cajun dishes. We ordered the Cajun fries as an appetizer and they were really good and filling. The restaurant is located in a plaza, so parking can be tight, but they have plenty of residential parking. Definitely recommend and will definitely keep coming. read more

I've been coming here for a while, but I had a really bad experience this evening. I ordered my normal meal, but the meat was so tough, I couldn't eat it. So ultimately, I did not get to have my dinner. I was shocked when they only offered to take half of the dinner off the bill. I didn't argue, I wanted to be pleasant, but I also have to say publicly and hopefully the owner reads this, how inappropriate this is. Somebody comes to have dinner at their spot, can't eat the food because the meat is too tough and then it's not fully taken off the bill. Rating has dropped for me due to loads of sugar added into the pho broth. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant and had to test my blood sugar after every meal to make sure my diet didn't impact the baby. I called and prior to ordering asked if they added sugar to their broth or was it just bone broth. Was told it was bone broth, no added sugar. Ordered, changed the noodles out to low carb mung bean noodles, ate, tested my blood sugar and the levels were the highest I had all pregnancy. What a fail. If you add sugar, fine. Be up front about it. Their false advertisement negatively impacted my health and my baby's health and that's just unforgivable. Not going to go back. read more

A few months ago this would have been a five star review. Something has changed here and not for the better. During the pandemic and after Pho Saigon 1 was my wife's and my favorite pho restaurant from the dozens we've experienced in both Southern and Northern California. It could typically take us 40 minutes to drive from Westlake Village to enjoy a meal there. What's changed? Their namesake dish. What used to be a rich fragrant broth is now weak and salty. What used to be a generous and well proportioned balance of meat and noodles is now far less meat and way more noodles. It seems the goal is to cut costs but we can only speculate that is the reason. Maybe a change in the kitchen? Maybe both. And this result occurs over multiple visits weeks apart so it wasn't just a one time anomaly. In any case we won't be coming back. To be honest for selfish reasons I hope nobody reads this comment. I am what they call a pho connoisseur, I've tried a lot of pho around my area and even pho when traveling. Pho Saigon is my best gate kept secret, this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've had! Their fresh eggs rolls, and dumplings to start are to die for. That first bite is everything. Their broth just makes you feel so warm. Your stomach so warm, it literally feels like a hug. I recommend their chicken pho best. I am very particular about chicken and honestly this is the only place they've never "missed." The portion sizing is good although sometimes it seems they put more chicken than noodles. I like my chicken to pho ratio 1:1 and sometimes it's like 2:1 but I really don't care I'll still eat it and never mention it. Plus it's a positive to get extra meat I think. Their chili oil has my heart and I need a tub of it. Please add chili oil even if you don't like it. Must try !!! read more

I had to dump a heck of a lot of housing sauce and Sriracha just to make it edible. Since their clientele is mostly non-Vietnamese, they may have forgotten how the broth should taste which means either the clientele does know better or now one has complained.
