I tried this place for the first time since it changed from Pho Hot. We ordered their combo pho, pork basil dish and dried tofu as an appetizer. The tofu was obviously reheated and was chewy and room temp. I've had fresh fried tofu before and it should be pipping hot and soft. Very disappointing. The pork dish was 70% vegetables. We ordered the large sized pho and thankfully we did because their large is about the regular size at all the other pho places in town. I'd hate to see their regular size pho. Hadn't been to this location with the new ownership/rebrand until just recently and it's very different than the prior establishment. The decor and ambiance is a homage to a more modern Vietnam but the flavors and hospitality are aligned to what you'd expect. The Pho broth is clear, not overly sweet and not overly salty. Please taste the broth before you destroy the base broth with your siracha, plum sauce, etc. Taste and adjust you rascals! Don't just dump all the sauces of the rainbow into your broth! We needed a little more help than we received. then when it was time to pay the bill bill came along with a little electronic module which could receive a credit card but again there was no information on this module couldn't get the attention in staff member because they were very busy I finally walked up to the counter and ask how do I pay this bill. The staff member told me I pay right here. The staff needs to ask the customer if this is their first time in this restaurant. I think they are victims of their own success. We had ordered Basil fried rice with tofu and vegetables and it looked so good that another person asked us what dish we had ordered and they ordered the same thing. The prices were very reasonable for the Roseville area and the food quantity was excellent. One place where the restaurant fell short is the ability to make the food spicy - they get you hot oil on the side and it is not quite the same thing. Horrible service, my sister I waited for about 5 minutes while one of the waiters acknowledged us but didn't seat us. We had to grab our own menus from the front desk and seat ourselves. Even being seated there was a couple that came in about a few minutes after us and were acknowledged, seated by the waiter and given their menus. We sat for about 15-20 minutes before they even took our order. The couple that walked in after us were given their food before us. First off I did like the food the first time but I had went there yesterday and with my family too we ordered the combo fried rice and a bunch of other stuff. While we were the only ones that were Asian in there yesterday at the time we were there everyone else that wasn't Asian had got their food before us when they came in after and ordered after us and door dash pickups too. And one of their regulars had walked in and mean mugged me like excuse you? I get your a business but that doesn't give you no right to treat your customers like shit and be racist AF. I am always happy to support Asian food businesses too but with the way things were yesterday yeah no I'm not stepping my foot here ever again and like other Asians that aren't Viet they have reviewed just like me too hell they walked out and didn't get to order and went elsewhere with better service. I was really upset and I really liked this place too but now yeah no. Even though all that happened I still tipped when I shouldn't have. That should tell you guys something.
