And the new owners have switched up everything sauces , prices of the noodle bowls and there just the same and you would think they would be bigger Bowles but there not. it's just not the same service and I wouldn't recommend coming here. they could do a lot more better in everything like I said I've been coming here for 13 years. I've been here several times and enjoy coming here. Depending on how hungry I am or what flavors sound good to me that day I usually get a regular or a large chicken or vegetable pho. I've order other drinks and appetizers on the menu before as well. Once I asked one of the ladies, even though it was not on the menu, if they were able and willing to make me an iced tea. I came in at 8:50 pm and they close at 9:30pm. Still sat me and my family like normal and I come here all the time and never have have such rude and uncomfortable costumer service like this evening. I was even done eat my food and was basically rushed to go pay my bill and rushed to get out the restaurant. All 4 of the employees sat and stood around from different areas of the store watching me eat and it felt really uncomfortable and the moment i put my utensils down my server pretty much ran to my tabke picked up my bowl and said are you all finished it just we close at 9:30 and I left at 9:36 and when I said bye have a great night everyone was mad and making faces as if I offended them for taking my tine to eat my food. My cousins were raving about the pho here and I just had to try it. We were a group of 5 when we went here and we were the only customers. The server/cashier was an older lady who did not seem friendly but was in no way rude. She took our orders without a smile but I did not mind. Food arrived fast and the servings were generous. Their pho was not exceptional. It tasted like any other pho to me. I also got an avocado bubble tea with tapioca which I really liked even though it was not made with real avocados. A man came in moments after and I saw the server gave him a big smile. She took his order and the smile never left her face. I took more notice of her because of the difference in how she interacted with us (Asians) and the man (Caucasian). When it was time to pay, I took it to myself to smile more and to make small talk to see if she would smile back. She did not. Naturally, I will not go back here. King County has a food safety rating system and at the time I visited, Pho Tai has a Good rating which means that the restaurant has had some red critical violations over the last four inspections. Decent value compared to many places which have raised their prices considerably. My family and I enjoyed their pho and bun noodle dishes. Good portions of meat and veggies were fresh. Stopped by here to catch lunch after church and before shopping. I ordered Grill Beef Ribs with Rice and added Egg. My wife ordered Pho. For drink we added the Vietnamese Ice Coffee. Both food and drink are not bad. The noodle broth has good flavor. The hot chili wasn't as expected. It has a bit too much oil and not enough spiciness. The ribs had a lot of flavor from the marinade, however the beef were grilled well enough. It didn't bring out the taste of the grilled beef. My and boyfriend were around the tukwila area and craving pho so we came here since it looked decent enough from what came up online. But I was kinda let down, the pho broth wasn't as rich as some other spots I've eaten at. It tasted a little diluted/watered down, I never put sauce into my pho but this time I had too. And we also ordered spring rolls and eggrolls. Springs rolls were ok, but the wrappers still tasted "doughy"...like the wrappers weren't soaked in water long enough so it tasted like it was still in it's dried state...but it was clearly soft! Isn't that strange? But the eggrolls were horrible, me and my boyfriend only took one bite, it tasted horrible...never anything like it, I don't even know what it was. I actually almost gagged and had a hard time swallowing it. The filling was super mushy so was it even cooked all way the through? This spot in Renton has been a family favorite for years now. The servings are always on point and they never skimp out on their pho. Their broth, noodles, and toppings are always 100% flavorful and delicious. Don't even get me started on their Bahn Mi sandwiches. They are very generous with the vegetables and meats and they're served fresh and warm every single time. The restaurant itself is in a decent location where it isn't hard to find. The interior of the restaurant as well as the bathrooms are clean while the employees are kind and welcoming. I've always been amazed as how one of the servers always remember the orders as she never needs to write them down. Before COVID, they allowed customers to take a few dum dum lollipops as you pay at the register. (which is something I found very nice of them to add) Sadly due to COVID they've taken the bowl of candy away, but it makes sense as to why. Pretty amazing spot. One of the worst pho places I've ever had. I got the chicken pho and the chicken consisted of half white meat but half dark meat that was very grisly with cartilage and skin. For some reason, the smell too was very off putting like this rancid scent. My friend got beef pho and he said that was pretty good and they have him lots of extra meat. I also ordered a chicken banh mi and that I couldn't eat other due to the meat quality. My friend who likes dark meat, though, enjoyed it. On the plus side it had many vegetables. Warm, family friendly environment with very attentive staff. Exceptionally clean, our table was fully stocked with all the sauces, napkins and condiments neatly on a serving tray, which isn't usually the case with most of these joints. The chicken katsu was delicious, and a very filling portion. My girlfriend ordered the vermicelli salad and all the veggies were crisp and fresh. Food quality is worse then ever , and I understand COVID-19 changed many situations but we were there last month after they opened it wasn't as bad , today. I'd ordered the chicken breast teriyaki , my to go , and it's always juicy and tender , today was deep fried , maybe twice. Was dripping with oil , super dry and super sweet , they tried to make it better , added lots of sugar and salt too , awful dish , tried to communicate with the lady , she pretended not to speak English , also when I asked for a straw , was giving a half opened straw ??
