Had a hankering for pho and took a friend tonight. First, yay for convenient parking right by the building. At 6 pm, we had the place to ourselves and got our Medium bowls (plenty for our dinner and lunch) so quickly. My friend got the chicken and I got #6 and both were full of good tender meat. We got a nice plate of sprouts, lime & basil and were given more basil when we asked. I loved they have real chili oil as well as Sriracha and plum sauce. Our server was quick and friendly. And the price is right...you can get out of there for under $20 including tax & tip. And don't forget the melt in your mouth complimentary cream puff. I always am pretty boring, chicken and add veggies, although my friends are more adventurous I'd taken here over the years and love it equally so. Priced comparable to others in the area although I imagine 40 % of business for them is take out so they do have a to go container cost. I was plesantly surprised how tasty this pho was. It is a chain and I have been to other locations but I will say this one is better than others I've been to. Service was incredibly fast since Pho quick to prep after the broth is already done. The broth was very clean and flavorful. Noodles were cooked well, meat portions were great. They have 4 sizes and I found that the Medium was the perfect size for me though my hubby got the Large and he cleaned that up too. Pho and drinks are the only items on the menu, so once they bring those out they assume you're done. Food: The XL #14 Pho with everything in it was outstanding. XL size bowl was enough for me to share with my 4 year old and 8 year old kids and still have a little left over My Mom and sister enjoyed their chicken pho. Small was enough for my sister and my Mom ordered a medium but had leftovers to take home. We ordered an extra side of tendon after eating more than half of our soup, so when it arrived cold and slightly frozen, it wasn't as good as it would've been had we ordered it initially. Lesson learned. I really miss their spring rolls. They don't offer them anymore. I think they also used to have cream puffs on the menu, but not anymore. Oh well. They've perfected their pho, so that's fine. Ambiance: relatively simple, much nicer open space than it was years ago when we lived here (around 14 years ago) Bathrooms: 2 that are large and clean Parking: a handful of spots on the side of the restaurant or nearby street parking which can be hard to find. Back in my college days, I frequented this Pho restaurant. Almost like I took it for granted at its existence. Fast forward a few years after I went back for good to my home country, whenever I have the chance to visit Seattle, I never miss this joint. It has now moved to a bigger space, which is quite spacious for a restaurant serving only Pho. Not only that, it mitigates the odor caused by the food that usually stick to our clothes. Definitely liking the new place better! As to the Pho itself; by far I found it to be the best! The noodle is smooth, the texture is like vermicelli which I love best! I go to this location sometimes out of convenience and every single time I feel like their broth just isn't up to par with the other Than bros in the area! I know that sounds crazy cause I'm sure they all use the same recipe, but no matter what time of the day I go, the broth just always tastes watered down! I frequented this Pho Than location - perhaps one of the first in Seattle - when it was a smaller, two-roomed restaurant next to the nail salon across N 78th Street. Back then, it appeared that the brothers were running the joint, but at this current location - a previous Auto Parts store - the men have been replaced by several equally-competent women. The space has increased tremendously and is now open, well lit and ventilated - perfect for the era of in-house Covid dining. First things first - cream puffs are no longer offered with every meal, though the usual Thai basil, hot pepper, bean sprouts are. I was told that the bakery that makes them doesn't supply them anymore due to Covid. Despite this fact, pho is a great take out option for the colder weather, provided you rush home with your noodles and not allow it to congeal into a glutinous noodle mass while you run errands up and down Aurora Ave. for the next hour and a half. When you get take out here, Pho Than Sisters/Brothers lovingly place the noodles and the broth separately, so that you can have non-mushy noodles when you get home. Due to the large space and high ceilings and the fact that every other table is not open for seating, I would feel very comfortable eating inside the restaurant. The entrance corridor runs through the side of the restaurant and there is a single row of tables which is perfect for further social isolation. Perhaps not the most tasty pho as others have said, but for the price and the convenience, Pho Than is a great option on a cold day. read more

So far this has been my favorite place out of all the pho places I have tried! I liked the taste of their broth. I ordered: - medium bowl of steak and tendon - young coconut juice (comes in a glass with chunks of coconut meat) - came out to around $11-12 They have parking on the side of the restaurant, narrow spaces though, and then street parking if the lot is full. The restaurant is spacious, no complaints about the space, just your typical bare boned Vietnamese restaurant. So far this place has the best tasting broth out of all the places I have tried in Seattle. Wish there had been more tendon, there was only one big piece. Plenty of the steak though. Anyways, I like the new location in the old car parts store. There's a dedicated parking space and it is much bigger on the inside. Same old mirrors on the wall. The pho itself is tasty and the broth isn't too overly sweet. I usually go with the P9 and it has always been consistent and good. Love the cream puffs that are usually given during non-covid times. I love how the service is really quick. Being Vietnamese and having traveled to Vietnam over 3 times now, I can say Pho Than is pretty good.
