Excellent phood! One of the best broths I've ever had honestly. Very robust and flavorful. Wanted to give more stars but the service was terrible, the meat was overcooked and the water tasted like bleach.

    Bun Bo Hue

Been coming here more frequently since Pho Binh's closure. Pho Thy is located in the same strip mall with Ben Thanh Food Market and Family Dollar on the corner of Fuqua and Sabo. They have started serving pho with fresh rice noodle but today I wanted to try one of their less known dish on the recommendation of the waiter. Bun Bo Hue has a distinct flavor that's can probably be described as pho's sexy cousin. They executed the Bun Bo Hue very well here. Great balance of sweet and umami flavors that's created by the fermented shrimp paste. The restaurant do get crowded on the weekends but during the week you never have to wait for a table and the food will come to the table faster than a cheeseburger at McDonald's.

    Cơm Tấm

Ăn gì, Ở đâu Ăn gì? Cơm tấm Ở đâu? pho thy I really like eating Cơm tấm here, it's really delicious!

    Bò Né

Excellent food here!!! Must try these Bo Ne or Vietnamese Beef Sizzling. It comes with a bread to dip in. Also Vietnamese Broken Rice or Com Tam is delicious too. The meat is thick cut and flavourful. Service are awesome. Waiter are attentive and fast too.

    Large pho tai

We've been here many times, and long story short: it's good quality pho for a decent price. Their portions are generous. $7 for small, $8 for large, and $9 for XL. They give a lot of vermicelli & meat for the cost. Broth is hearty. I always get the large pho tai. After going to mediocre pho places with small portions at an astronomical price, this was refreshing. Service is as expected, not super personable but gets the job done. Bathrooms smell really strange and this place really lacks cleanliness, as many other authentic Vietnamese restaurants do. If you're able to overlook this, you'll enjoy your dining experience. 1 star off for a disappointing experience we've had coming here during our last visit. The place closes at 8 PM on Sundays. We drove nearly an hour with my grandma, arriving at 7:30. When we came in, they refused to serve us and said the kitchen had been closed down for the evening. They couldn't make any exception. While we respect that the employees wanted to go home, it was very frustrating not knowing they'd close down so soon, and 30 minutes is really early to have closed the place down, leaving our elderly grandma hungry and confused.

The family enjoying the food from Pho Thy and they love it! cause it's good!

We've been to Pho Thy for many years. it is always good Pho here. But today, I have 'Com Tam' (the Broken Rice with Pork Chop); the grill pork is so tender enough and taste great. My son enjoys his 'Bo Ne' the Fajitas Beef and meat balls serve with french bread. My wife loves the pho serve with new fresh noodles. we have a good time and everyone enjoys the good.

The grilled pork spring rolls are really good, and the Pho is also delicious! Y'all should come and get this Pho right here. The best

I have been going to Pho Thy for over 10 years or every since they opened. I have brought my grandkids here every since they were born. We usually eat Beef PhoSliced Rare Beef SteakSpring Rolls etc. They have never failed to give the best service and food you could get. I eat here at least once a week. I have tried many Pho shops. This one excels way above all the rest. I would highly recommend Pho Thy to anyone.

Today is coldes day; let eating one bowl pho soup from pho thy is the best time right now. Let go to eat pho now everyone

Sữa Đậu Xanh (Green Bean Milk)

The food here are great. Best Pho I have had in Houston so far. Green Bean Milk are good too, not too sweet. 1 bottle can makes you full for a day long.

Best pho in the area! The broth is on point. Even during their peak lunch hours the service is nice and quick. The tai nam is my go-to pho.

The got nice wall art too, depicting the popular dishes from the north so I had my expectation and hopes up. Service is ordinary, she speaks little English but can get by ordering, we order first at the counter the sit anywhere. Braised egg is 2 for $3.50, salty but expected since it's marinated. Came out steaming hot, and yolk was not overly cooked and dry, not bad. Starting with the Chinese hamburger I felt sad and know not to expect too much from the other dishes we ordered. First the meat look different than what others have posted before, and it was kinda dry and too salty to eat. There was no other spice, only the meat juice flavor. The bun they use was stale to eat. Traditional way of making this should be the flaky oily pancake, or at least make the buns softer to eat. The mutton stew was clear and very heartwarming to drink on a cold day. But the portion is super small for the price. The glass noodles were gone in literally two bites. I had none to share with my boyfriend. This dish come with the burger bun too that you can soak them in the soup so I guess this is the extra carb make up for the less noodles. Oil splash noodle is their specialty? It was good but didn't wowed me. Noodles are chewy and well cooked, came with lots of bean sprouts. The sauce is flavorful and actually not too oily which I enjoyed more. You can add the beef for an extra charge, it's the regular braised beef, was just ok. I find it funny that their all food arts on the wall look nothing like the actual way they serve it.

The mapo tofu is one of the best we've had outside of Bellaire with spicy, savory, numbing, and warmth that you expect from a good mapo tofu. Crispy popcorn chicken is a classic that's spicy, lightly fried, and crisp. It has an authenticity that other places around can't replicate and makes you keep craving more. The portions are also appropriate for their price. Service is incredibly quick, and you can order as you go and receive your dish within 10-15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. As for the ambiance, it's loud, it's hectic, and it's simple... maybe a stretch, but makes me feel like I'm eating at a mom and pop shop in the heart of China. This place is definitely a go to if I'm convincing a friend of Houston's great food scene! Rating: 4.5/5

I swear it's just one really long hand made noodle, so it's a bit hard to share, but it's a must-get. We also tried the Claypot noodle and it was good as well but a bit of an acquired taste. The restaurant is located inside Jusgo grocery store. The seating is quite limited so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties. And it's pretty mom and pop, so if that's your jam, go for it. Chairs are mismatched, drinking water is somewhat self-service in small cafeteria-style plastic cups, and tables are small. Like I said - mom and pop, and that's not a bad thing. It's just not exactly a place where you would have a nice business meeting. Service was ok - nothing to note. You pay at the cashier which is like 2 feet from where you ate. Yes, it's a small space. She immediately asked what we wanted in a rude tone, which set an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. There was a sign on the table advertising a "free appetizer" if you take a photo and tag the restaurant on social media. I followed the instructions exactly as stated, but when I mentioned it, the server initially refused to honor the promotion. After I pointed out the sign, she appeared upset and walked away. I saw she went to speak to another employee and cracked a smiled and looked over. She later returned and offered a small discount instead. The issue wasn't about the money or the discount, it was the principle. The promotion was clearly advertised, and I simply followed the restaurant's own policy. It was disappointing to feel like the restaurant was reluctant to honor something they were actively promoting. I hope management addresses this because customer service and consistency with advertised promotions make a big difference in the overall dining experience.
