Today I got to taste the Spicy Beef Soup (House Special) and it really was good. Also, the service was very friendly and helpful.

Very good but expensive. Ambiance is nice too. Staff is very attentive and will refill water. I enjoyed the sampler. Everyone enjoyed their dishes.

Wanted to eat bahn mi sandwich for lunch so I was on yelp looking for a place to go well there is alot in our area chinatown but no parking and need to walk maybe couple of blocks. So I came across this one located at the manoa market place. Being its Sunday parking was crowded because of the small open market they have. Located upstairs 2nd floor i said to my husband oh my got to climb the stairs. But we didn't have too there's a elevator to the 2nd floor. Yay. Caught it and there it was the restaurant. We ordered spring rolls and my bahn mi BBQ chicken sandwich. The spring rolls were good the taste was well prepared. But only 3 rolls on 1 order. The bahn mi was good had clinatro, cucumber and jalapeño and sliced carrots and daikon on the bottom. The chicken had a little spice in it but could handle it. Enjoyed the sandwich and spring rolls. Would go back again.

BBQ Chicken rice plate with Thai Milk Tea

FOOD -- BBQ Chicken rice plate was tasty, flavorful, well seasoned! I also had a Thai tea that was good. They have a Teaspresso bar inside the restaurant -- I never expected a restaurant that has a built-in boba shop inside. SERVICE -- Service was great. I came here with a group of 4, and spent like 2-3 hours in this place to discuss a project and the workers didn't rush us out of the place which I greatly appreciated. This place also offers karaoke rooms upstairs, by the hour. AMBIANCE -- The ambiance felt warm and cozy-- wooden furniture; red, orange, yellow, purple tones in their led lights. The AC strength is acceptable for a hot summer day. The place is overall spacious and has high ceilings.

Shrimp pho, chantilly cake, banana tapioca (DO NOT GET), world's smallest flan
    Mari T.

I had no idea this place existed but I got a recommendation from a friend and decided to give it a shot. 1/5 would not recommend for anything but the chantilly cake. But first let me explain. Positives: free parking in Manoa Marketplace. Clean bathroom. Elevator to 2nd floor=accessible. Chantilly cake was very good: nice and moist and dense and flavor was on point. Now let me start with the cons: bathroom you need to walk around the corner and down the hall (not close). Shrimp pho was just ok: flavor was average, portion was a bit small (lots of soup with not too many noodles). The worst part of this whole experience were the other 2 desserts I got to go for my husband. I am not exaggerating when I say the flan is like something in a doll cafe. I couldn't believe they would dare to charge $5.95 for a flan that was barely 2 bites. It was not even that good; pretty bland and watery. But then I ordered the banana tapioca and it was absolutely horrible. The texture was like it was previously frozen. It was gritty and not creamy at all. It was crumbly. That is not how any tapioca should be. What a waste of $12 plus tax (they also charge a 3% fee for card so bring cash). They also have karaoke but it's pretty expensive. The menu is very large so I might try it 1 more time but I feel like I just got ripped off!

We have been going here for a few years, and it has been a solid staple for Vietnamese food in Manoa. It is located in Manoa Marketplace on the second floor above the pizza place downstairs. There is a parking lot in front and it is quite large. The restaurant itself is a decent size with a lot of space. It feels quite cheerful inside and there are signs for food, drinks, and karaoke. There is a selection of rice, noodle, and other dishes. I usually get the house special fried rice. It is one of my favorites -- super flavorful and a good portion. However, the last time we were there, it took longer than we were told to get our food. We ended up waiting quite a bit. We will be back though because the service is usually fine and the food is consistently good!

super minimal pickles couldnt even taste them.

i usually order takeout pho from here. i think they have new owners now? for the most part the pho is still my go to. takeout service is good - i havent eaten in here for years so i cant speak to that. i did want to say tho - if you love banh mi - this isnt it. it wasnt terrible but - i wouldnt order it again. it is pretty big for the price you pay but it was missing the pickled daikon and carrots. to me that is the best part of the sandwich. but it was basically less than sprinkled in... it was pretty disappointing... i thought maybe i had the wrong end of the sandwich but the whole sandwich was like that. i will just stick to my pho order.

BBQ Chicken Banh Mi! huge !
    Meleana L.

Craving a Banh Mi and this restaurant was the first option that popped up on Yelp. Wish we could've eaten the sandwich fresh but we want to get home before the after school traffic. Ordered 2 bbq chicken Banh mi for take out. Sandwiches were wrapped in foil and were still warm when we got home (15mins away from restaurant). Very flavorful and bbq chicken was tender. Wish i asked for extra pickled veggies and cucumbers bc I love these toppings. The jalapeños in the sandwich creates a great spice as well. The onions however were too strong and threw off the taste. If in Manoa, I would love to dine in next time.

    Tofu Lemongrass Banh Mi

We had spent the entire week trying to find a Vietnamese gem of a restaurant and it finally happened. We saw that they had boba on their menu and we were scratching our heads because ain't no way having so many items on their menu would equate to a good meal. We thought there would be a lack in quality but NOOOO! We were so wrong. Every single dish we ordered had us FLOORED. We ordered: -ube latte (BOMB) -vegan spring rolls (BOMB) -tofu banh mi (FRESH BAGUETTE, bomb) -Vietnamese curry with tofu (BOMB I recommend getting with a side of bread) -lemongrass tofu vermicelli (BOMB) We were so caught off guard by the quality of every single dish. This place is going to be our #1 Vietnamese spot moving forward. Definitely no frills and fancy plating but it will surprise you. Parking: FREE Location: 2nd Floor above Aroma Italia. They had huge groups at the restaurant when we went but we still got our food super fast. Service was very attentive and mindful of our dietary restrictions. PLEASE, my friends....treat yourself. They deserve all of the love and support.

Chicken Salad ( Gỏi Gà )
    Anita M.

OK, the employees were super nice but I'm really disappointed in my food. I always get the shredded chicken salad at every Vietnamese restaurant I go to and it's always cabbage not iceberg lettuce like I got here, even their menu says it's shredded cabbage. Also the salad dressing is not clear like I'm used to. It's heavier almost like a sweet-and-sour sauce. I did not care for it

Upon stepping foot in Phở Quê Hương, I was transported back to Vietnam (or Orange County, California-- have your pick). Phở Quê Hương is located in Honolulu's Chinatown, so we get an interesting demographic mix of diners. (I believe I observed at least one Hoa family order in Vietnamese and then converse in a Chinese language.) I wasn't so attentive to the precise linguistic profiles of my fellow diners because of how distracted I was by the food. However, it is a salient pattern I am observing in Honolulu: seeing many non-Viet people coming to eat Viet food. I know Vietnamese cuisine has become more globally mainstream, but I suppose I am so used to existing in Vietnamese ethnic enclaves. The menu offers a great selection of Vietnamese food, including dishes I had never had before. The bún chả Đà Nẵng is not at all similar to a bún chả Hà Nội, so don't get them mixed up! Bún chả Đà Nẵng was more like a bún riêu without the riêu: a nice tomato soup with a serious umami flavor going on. (I was getting notes of cheese even, in a really good way.) My first time having a non-vegetarian bò lá lốt was here. It was tasty, although I was getting a spicy note that I wasn't sure where it was coming from. The tràng đặc biệt was delicious and familiar. I always love wrapping things (amateurishly) with rice paper. The name "Phở Quê Hương" is apt, but it isn't just phở but rather all the dishes that feel like they arrived straight from Vietnam. If you are interested in more traditional Vietnamese fare, give this place a try.

I heard they will keep this space for special events. The restaurant is quite busy and I'm glad we had reservations. Good thing I was there prior to lunch hour opening, otherwise we may lose our reservations since the person who made reservations tends to be habitual in arriving late. We dined in May, but it's been awhile since I first dined here. I preferred dining in Chinatown during lunch time than at dinner. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. I forgot his name, but I remembered that his eyeglasses that he wore was cool/funny, since the frames for each eye didn't match the other eye! lol. Funny it wasn't me who first noticed it. One was square frame and the other was a round frame! The restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays except may write Happy Birthday in chocolate on the dessert plate that you purchase for the birthday person. Their desserts are unique and refreshing. I think there are some rotating desserts /flavors like their seasonal menu for their main menu. I guess you can always keep coming back without being bored of the menu! I was bummed to see a previous dish posted of a pasta that I wanted to try that wasn't on the current spring seasonal menu! When we dined for brunch over the weekend, I was able to get the Hainan chicken with the crispy roast pork combo. It was very filling , tasty and satisfying. I do love ginger sauce on the cold ginger chicken but sometimes the chicken is just okay. This Hainan chicken was really good and the chicken was really moist! I thought it was the best I've tried! It was good that I wanted to takeout one last time in August before they moved! No more the 50/50 combo with the crispy roast pork on the lunch menu during the weekday. It was on the spring menu. Of course it's best to eat it in the restaurant than for take out. Bathroom is a must for me when dining out and they had only one shared bathroom for everyone! There was a guy who tried to make several attempts but wasn't successful, since there was always someone in the restroom. I'm glad the waiter told me there was a bigger separate bathroom with several stalls for men and ladies upstairs. You go straight through the kitchen to catch the elevator and to another kitchen /storage area! Thank Goodness! Best wishes at your new location. You offer yummy and tasty food!

The food is authentic and super delicious; the pho broth is the best that I have tasted, very clean and no msg (at least I can't tell) We have tried a lot of the menu items throughout the years; our favorites are: - combination pho - rare steak and meatballs pho - oxtails soup/pho - grilled pork chop rice - crispy spring rolls - summer rolls - beef salad (my wife's favorite, she orders it every time) - roasted pork and lemon grass chicken banh mi sandwiches - roasted pork and spring roll vermicelli bowl - the special combo wrap (very tasty but you have to wrap it yourself; some may think it is fun, but I am lazy and prefer to have it made and ready to eat) The prices are very reasonable, they haven't raised the prices much even when the food cost keeps going up. I believe they have some deserts, but we have never tried any, because their portion sizes are generous and we're usually too full to think about deserts. Park is s street parking, but we usually park in the municipal lot across the street. The rate is very reasonable, a couple dollars for a couple of hours. When we arrived, we were the first guests so got to pick our table. When we sat down at the pretty wooden booth, there was a happy hour menu on the table. What?!? And YAY!! There was a 2-for special on the cocktails and you could select from the full menu which featured an extravagant and eclectic selection. There were wine and beer specials too but we were here for the cocktails. From the happy hour menu, we ordered the vegan spring rolls, chicken wings, and the Bo Ne Steak--a Vietnamese breakfast with bone marrow, cubed steak, sunny side eggs and a baguette. I can vouch for the spring rolls, light and crunchy without being oily. I don't eat land animals but my friend said the wings were divine. And they give you gloves to eat them. So civilized (ha) and a nice touch! She loved the bone marrow and steak. There was so much food she didn't finish it so I took it home to the hubby who devoured it. No complaints and only smiles from him! I wanted to try a couple pescatarian dishes from the regular menu so ordered the lemongrass clams which was AH-mazing! Could have been my favorite dish of the night because the flavors were unexpected but undeniably good. And, the garlic salmon bun (vermicelli noodles) was fantastic. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was savory yet light. I've never seen this option at any other Vietnamese restaurant and it certainly elevates the traditional dish which usually comes with meat, tofu, or spring rolls. (You can still order the bun with these options and they let you choose your protein combos.) Finally, (I told you there was a lot of food) we ordered the banana blossom salad. I rarely see this offering at other Vietnamese restaurants. It's hard to describe but I refer to this dish as the red-carpet version of the green papaya salad. It's more dressed up and sophisticated. A real treat and a must-have if you're dining at An Di Dzo. Parking was easy since it's at Ward (by the theaters or you can park anywhere in the village). The restaurant is clean and modern. And the service was courteous and professional. Our server Alex was great and made the evening extra special. An Di Dzo is open for lunch and dinner. I'm Vietnamese and it was a very affirming and comforting experience for me when so many other Vietnamese folks came first thing in the morning to get their grub at Thuong An Lac. That's when you know you've found THE spot. Major Recommendations: -Viet Iced Coffee (prob the best you'll find on island easily) -Beef Stew + Baguette (so HEARTY. I've had both vegan and non vegan beef stews and it's spot on) We loved everything we got there. The water they serve you has pandan in it and tastes very very good. I still think about it!! It's tucked away in the entrance of Chinatown Market, making it a true hidden gem. My favorite is the "beef" noodle soup. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful--you'd never guess it's completely vegan. I also highly recommend the taro spring rolls, which are crispy, delicious, and the perfect appetizer. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so it may not be able to accommodate larger groups. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. As someone who loves noodle soup, I appreciate being able to enjoy such a satisfying meal while knowing it's entirely plant-based. I'll definitely be back!

You already know the beef was good or it wouldn't get a good review from me. Got the spring rolls which was nice and hot. Wrapped the spring roll, noodles and the carrot & daikon with the lettuce and dipped it into the sauce. Winnahs. For the main entrees got the crispy fried noodles with seafood. It's like the Vietnamese version of Chinese seafood with cake noodles. Very crunchy and tasty. Lots of seafood. The other entree was the combo sizling plate. Yes, the plate was sizling. The plate had pate, sausage, meatball, beef and a fried egg. I've never tasted anything like that before. It's not the usual taste that you're accustomed to but i enjoyed it. I thought it was good. Both entrees and the salad are good serving size. I like the spring rolls and wish had more but that's just me. The service is excellent even though it was pretty busy. The waiter apologized for being late but it was quite understandable. He's so polite. The lady who might be the owner was very pleasant and personable. It was a very good experience. The only thing that might be a slight problem like any other restaurant on Kapahulu is parking.

I'm usually more of a spring roll person, but these were so good and something I'd definitely order again. I had the brisket pho, and my boyfriend got the beef and flank pho. Both were delicious, and the broth was flavorful and comforting. I'm pretty particular about Thai tea, but theirs is always really good. The restaurant is small and fills up quickly. The service is always good and the food comes out fast. If you're in the Aiea area and looking for a solid pho spot, Pho Time is worth a visit!

When I placed my order, I told the woman, "no cilantro" on anything. When I received my order, the soup was missing. When the woman brought the soup, I said again, "no cilantro." She said, yes. I paid and left. When I got home, I opened the salad and noticed a pile of basil and what appeared to be cilantro. It tasted like cilantro, too. So, I went back to the restaurant to return my order, as I no longer wanted any of it. When I got there, the woman told me that isn't cilantro, it's "culantro." She said she would refund my salad, but not the sandwich and proceeded to argue with me that she was doing me a favor because the salad did not have cilantro, even though she very well knows they taste the same. In any case, I left my entire order and was only refunded for the salad. I will dispute with my cc company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
