Very nice breakfast place - good service and prices. I had a bacon, egg and hash brown casserole meal - everything was delicious. The eggs were perfectly done and the hash brown casserole was surprisingly good. The prices were good and they are on the "no wait" app, so we only had about a 10 minute wait even on a busy Saturday. Loved this place! Very local which is always great. The coffee was very good and the food amazing. Had the eggs Benedict with a side of slab bacon. Gotta try the bacon, think and very delicious! We went on a Saturday morning and only had a brief wait, fortunately the weather was awesome so this was no issue at all. I'll be honest, what drew me to the restaurant was the hash brown casserole! More places should offer this. It was pretty good, I'm from the Midwest so I've had a lot of it and it was up there. I ordered the Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict which was great, eggs were poached perfectly and the crab cakes were crispy. At first I was concerned that it was served on an English muffin as I've had it at other restaurants but I'm here to say it's better that way. It really lets the crab cake take front and and center where it belongs! My partner had the fried chicken and grits which he loved. I don't like grits so I have no opinion but I'll trust his. The service was excellent. The only negative I have was I think the soda came out of a bottle and not a fountain? Not a huge deal, probably a personal preference but had I known I would have not ordered it. read more

$4 for a take out coffee? Really! Came in 7:55 am oct 27, asked for take out coffee and went to use the restroom. Guy behind counter said $4. I asked him again thinking I heard wrong, nope $4. Wasn't given a receipt or even asked if I wanted one. Did he keep the $4 and not put in register as a sale? I won't be back, too high a price for a small cup of coffee or should I say nothing special about it coffee to warrant that cost. We live in the neighborhood and finally got to try out this new spot and it was a great experience! Had a large group of 8 and they were able to accommodate us pretty last minute for brunch. Our waiter David was so fun and all of the dishes were so rich and delicious. I highly recommend the cheeky monkey appetizer, the hash, and the burrito. You can't go wrong! The cafe de monde iced coffee is also a great pick me up. We will definitely be back! read more

OK. Get the Crab Benedict. The crab cakes are giant, delicious, crabby,...and the hollandaise sauce is perfection. Its served with potatoes cooked perfectly. This is my go to spot, this is my go to order. DO NOT BE ALARMED if your poached eggs have a slightly purple hue. They use red wine vinegar in the poaching water...too lazy to use the white vinegar, I guess? This is a practice that should immediately be stopped due to the slightly gross look of pale, purple/pink poached eggs (say that 10 times), but I'll still eat them forever if they don't. The "bacon slab" is big and thick and cooked perfectly crispy. The chorizo bowl was good - Cesar loved it. The "biscuits" were more like cornbread but so good. "Tomato gravy" didn't taste like any tomato gravy I've ever had and it was brown but it didn't taste too bad. I could taste a little bit of tomato. This is definitely a guilty pleasure type place but, the variety is great. The iced coffee was also good so there's another plus! I would definitely come back. I didn't say anything at the time, as I was someone's guest. But I did email the management just to give them a heads-up - have heard nothing back. It may deter some people though because it looks almost as if it's in a strip call kind of area. Don't let that fool you though it was amazing and I definitely recommend! Fried chicken and grits - perfectly cooked chicken, side of pickled onions and jalapeños, real real good. YES! This is a diner but it's more than just a diner. They are not just schucking Sysco meatz off the grill onto your plate... they're doing serious things in the kitchen. The chef has a smoker out back, he knows meat. 9-hour smoked brisket is available as a sub with breakfast. Service is top-notch. Bri was fantastic. They just opened when I visited... I sure could not tell. Whoever is behind this awesomesauce knows how to run and manage a serious restaurant. I wished I'd gone with a bigger party so I could have tried more... everything looked perfect. Breakfast basics were pitch-perfect and exactly as I expect them ... and then just a little bit better. Biscuits were great, very fluffy. Eggs done just right. Pancakes were good (did not taste like a crappy mix). Brisket is perfect (better than most BBQ joints actually.) OK, honestly this is easily my favorite brunch/breakfast spot. I've never actually been to the establishment, but I have ordered via Uber eats a whole bunch of times. My favorite is the Benedict, which usually comes with ham, but I sub bacon instead, and it's honestly the best thing that's ever happened to me. I want to cry when I think about eating your bacon. I always order an additional side of bacon, and while it's $4.50 for one piece of bacon, I've never been more happy to pay that price. I don't know what y'all do because I've never had bacon that thick or delicious, but after eating there once a week for what feels like 50 years, I'm a little concerned I've become addicted. Please get a side of bacon if you're a meat lover, and disregard the price, you seriously will not be disappointed. Idk who Phoebe is but honestly I'm ready to spend the rest of my life with you because of THIS BACON. Thank you so much for such a consistently delicious meal - I'm just blown away with your bacon expertise (also everything else, but I don't think I talked about the bacon enough). This place was little too experimental/modern for me. Did not like the goat cheese grits I was served at all. But the server was very nice, the hostess was not. I never understand the whole "can only seat the whole party" rule at restaurants. They were quite crowded with line out of the door but they seemed overwhelmed in handling the crowd. The Vietnamese tea I ordered was delicious and corn muffins were good. I don't see myself returning here though. read more
